I'll give you the point that we aren't putting as much pressure as we could, but at the moment, do you really think it would be a good idea to invade another dictatorship? While our armed forces could probably deal, I don't think they honestly should have to. And as to Saudi Arabia: We can't feasibly invade there. People bitch about how we are giving a reason for them to commit acts against us, how do you think it would be viewed if we invaded the holiest of all places in Islamic faith? Hell, isn't it against Islamic law to let nonbelievers even ENTER Mecca? The only way we can change SA is to put political and cultural pressure by changing the surrounding Muslim world. Asking us why we don't invade there is just a strawman. I'd give Uzbekistan as a better example, the human rights record there has been criticised but money is still being given to them because of there strategic location

I see it that way well. While Parrallax was influencing Hal he didn't gain outright control until after Hal went into the battery. Hal wanted Coast City back and would whatever it took, I think the influence of Parrallax pushed him just over the line to murder, but Hal WAS capable of it at that point regardless.

I've done fuck all this year, can't think of anything memorable, and that counts real life too. Except going on a cruise, that was good.

Thats Northern Ireland for you, if your going to do something do it big. I actually work right beside the bank and it seems a bit suss to me, its right in the center of town even late at night you would think somebody would see something a bit suspicous. Plus, shouldn't there be some sort of security control room monitoring everything? I know there have been rumours that this was actually an inside job.

Northern Ireland is becoming extremely racist, its been in quite a few papers that Belfast is now the most racist city in Europe. Figures, if we couldn't stop beating each other up over religon then there was no chance that people of other races were going to escape unscathed.

I do have to add that the Lancet is an extremely well respected publication in England, so I would give more creedance to what it says than many other sources. All things considered though 100,000 does seem rather high, I would have said it would be more like 35'000 and that is pushing the high end of the scale
