Here's one for you, Damesey... Is there a moment in wrestling that made you look back and want to watch it over and over? It doesn't have to be a moment moment, but like a match or something like that...

Tim...wow...imagine WRESTLING FOR YOURSELF instead of for some stupid asshole whose only contribution to the wrestling business is bringing in T n A into the mainstream. You know, for ONCE I'd like some people to just look at that match and WATCH IT instead of analyizing it to death. I've seen it tons of times. I know the fact that it's CHRIS MOTHERFUCKING BENOIT, the best technical wrestler in the world today, and BRET MOTHERFUCKING HART, the man who paved the way for guys like Benoit to actually make it to the top. Tim, I really don't see how you can POSSIBLY give a match like Benoit/Hart ***1/2, yet PIMP THE HELL out of Michaels/Ramon II, a match whose finish was blown THREE TIMES, and a match that was almost the exact same match as the Wrestlemania X match. And you mention Volk Han, Takada and such. Those guys are shoot-style wrestlers. There's a reason they are technically sound, and it's because they can go to the mat. Benoit and Hart took to it far greater levels than just matwork and counterwrestling. I'm all for opposing viewpoints, but realize both sides of the equation before you topple somebody's viewpoint. And as for the crowd not being into it...wow. It's Owen's memorial match, with his brother in there, and Chris F'n Benoit. And you said the crowd wasn't connecting with them>? Whatever, man...

So is suffice to say that Nova invented both heat and non-heat>?

You know how people talk about 6/3/94 as being no good by itself? As in it's not the greatest match ever? Why isn't 10/4/99, Bret/Benoit the best match of the decade? I'm sorry guys, but I was jumping up and down at that finishing sequence. IT HAD DRAMA! PSYCHOLOGY! MOVESET! EMOTION! It had the crowd ooing and aahing throughout the match. I'm sorry. I've seen Bret/Owen, Shawn/Razor, Vanilla Midgets vs. Flock 2.0 and Austin/Bret. For me, if I want to watch REAL wrestling, with REAL emotion, two guys doing with their craft only a select few had ever done before...I pick this match, because I've never seen a match that meant more to wrestling. It showed the greatness of Bret Hart, it showed that Benoit was the best technical wrestler outside of Bret Hart, and it showed that for 20 minutes, we could look at a match without the storyline BS, and watch two guys do what they do best: WRESTLE. I will never see a better match on free TV. Ever. In fact, outside of 6/3/94, I will probably never see a better match, and that's saying a lot. Bottom Line: 10/4/99-Match of the 1990s
