2 hours of squash is better than 2 hours of post 2000 Undertaker, man...

Vince has to do it. He knows people are waiting for it as well. Maybe a Rey/Knoble match for Unforgiven is in order?
-
OK. 1st off, if you want me to back up my actions...this is what I know. I've seen some great matches. What I call a great match is like this. Good story? Fluidity? Excitement? Psychology? Workrate? Crowd Heat? Does the match get me out of my seat cheering at the end? If all those questions are answered with a yes, then I give the match at least ****. Now, if the people in the ring go above the call of duty, and put on a match I must watch over and over again, then ***** is what I give it. I've seen WrestleWar '89, 2/3 falls Flair/Steamboat, the lost Steamer/Rhodes vs. The Enforcers tag match, Austin/Hart (both times), Hart/Hart (both times), Misawa/Kawada (about the whole series), and some MPro 10-mans that just made me giddy. Now, personally, more than one match deserves the five-star moniker, since I personally think a CLASSIC is a ***** match. I do not disagree with some people going the whole "one perfect match means one ***** rating." The way I see it is the way I see it. Ricky, what I'M wondering about you is what do YOU do to give out a ***** rating to a match, because if you can't give Austin/Hart, one of the greatest brawls ever, a ***** rating, what DID you give a ***** rating?

OK. Can somebody explain the sanity of Michaels being ahead of Benoit when a lot of what Michaels did was the hellacious bumps?
-
Good call. If that was the case...I'm not gonna say it. I'd get booted so fast...
-
Meh...maybe if HHH and RVD are in another tag match...would HHH get the win there, too? That would really be worth it, becuz RVD goez over at the PPV and stuff...shit. Why don't they have RVD job the title...and then do what APO said...let HHH win by the SLIMMEST of margins, and then have RVD get the title hotshotted to him the next night. It's simple, really, but then... ...this IS the WWE we're talking about.
-
Oh man...WWE would be CRAZY not to plan up the Tommy/Raven feud once they get married...oh my god...I'd mark out...E-C-DUB! But then again...it IS the WWE you're talking about...
-
I'm gonna say this...Steamer has ***** matches out the wazoo in the late 90s...and then has one with Flair when they are BOTH in their 40s. Wow...I'd have him up there for sure. In fact, I do.
-
YAY! Puro influence man...Knoble locks the Tiger Driver...Hurricane locks the SHINING WIZARD~!...Trish has a GAMENGIRI (somewhat)...all we need now is for somebody to bust out the BURNING HAMMER~! or soemthing.
-
BPS...who IS the #2 NWA:TNA mark? I'm aware of #1 (you) and #3 (the other guy), and you can call me #24 or whatever, but who is...*puts a finger to his lip* number two?
-
I'm gonna say Bret, Austin, Flair, Steamboat, Savage, DiBiase, Guerrero, Benoit, Malenko, Dynamite Kid (OK, so only about 4 years...but hey, why not?), and last but not least...your hero and mine.... ...HHH. HA! You really think I'd pick HIM?> Punk bitches. Number 10 IS the man, the myth, the legend...Shawn Michaels.
-
You know, Michaels might be able to pull some strings for Dragon. He WAS the best graduate from his school, you know. And yes, the Cattle Mutilation (front bridging double chickenwing) FUCKING RULES.
-
So RVD/HHH wouldn't be a good idea, right? Since HHH probably taps the lines so that he can filter out anything about him jobbing...
-
Yeah she is...something tells me she might find her way back into wrestling as Tommy's manager. Beulah/Dawn feud anybody?
-
Savio is GOD! Why did they break up the Boricuas?
-
Midnight Express is GOD! You rule, and you got 16 of em. I would however only give the Vader match ****3/4, since they messed up the ending. So STILL. godthedog, that's 15. Thank you. I was right. i completely missed his two matches with Bret. Oh, and Royal Rumble...ducking fumb. I'm really stupid. Oh, and Steamer was Number 12. So stop crying now, goodhelmet.
-
how about...LOW KI? I think he'll be HUGE come 2007...if Vince gets his head out of his ass and signs him when TNA falls. No offense, bps, but TNA IS going to fold. I LOVE TNA, but it's going to be sad to see them fall.
-
Hmmmmmmmm...I was also thinking along the lines of anything Kobashi did in 1993. It was usually guaranteed to be great.
-
Anybody think that we could see one more Misawa/Kawada match before they both hang up the boots? AJPW and NOAH are connected...so who knows? I would love to see that. It probably won't be a match like they've had before...but who knows?

CIMA-He is a really good wrestler. Check out his stuff with Magnum. (Toryumon) The Great Sasuke-Don't really know where to start...I guess his Super J 94 semi with Lyger would be in order now, wouldnt it? Minoru Tanak-Pretty much anything you find on him is good. El Samurai-Get what Tiger said, because it all rocks, and then track down his October 97 match with Koji Kanemoto, which is one of the greatest matches in juniors history. Gado and Jedo-They aren't as good as people give them credit. Magnum Tokyo-Great wrestler, as a lot of his stuff with Toryumon is choice, especially his match with Sasuke (I think it was at Toryumon goes to America) Tiger Mask IV-You want the ultimate starter for that guy? 10/10/96. I'm a mark for that match. I reviewed (WHEW!) and is posted up in the Smarks Krew AND this folder. Go read it, and it is a great match worth picking up.
-
I say that he does the Ric Flair veto, and then bring in Misawa for ***** matches a la Steamboat and Funk.
-
Regardless...any chance of a match between the two?
-
I think it was in 1999, back when Prince Wanalaya was champ. He was in his tranformation to "The Artist" and Paisley was doing his speaking. He was talking to three jobbers and one of them stepped up and fought him. It was during a Spring Break. He hit a Running DVD (I think) and then he hit something resembling a RUNNING AIR RAID CRASH (Mike Modest's "Reality Check"). Anybody remember who that guy was?
-
Sorry, but this is EDGE we are talking about. PSYCHOLOGY? Wow...he BEAT Eddie with the Spear even AFTER Eddie working on his shoulder for 10 minutes. I don't know dude. RVD couldn't even sell for Benoit...
-
I'm gonna go one up on you. Bret Hart did it IN THE SAME SHOW. Wrestlemania X. Benoit? Jericho?
