You know, I won't be too displeased if Williams hooked up with Goldberg or even Benoit or Angle or somebody like that. His style of either being a hardass brawler or a technical whiz is pretty much a good fit with either spectrum. I seriously hope that he actually gets used. He's not bad. If he's motivated.

In my little review of Stampede in the Old School section, I mentioned that the ME had the most emotion that I've ever seen in a crowd. I'm not lying. The emotion MADE that match. You go in there looking for techincal wizardry, you ain't gonna find shit. You go in there looking for a heated brawl with the crowd on the edge of it's seat the entire way through, you'll find what you're looking for. The 92 Rumble is really good, by the way. It truly was a great match. I believe that even if Hogan or Sid won that match, that it still would have been the best Rumble ever. Flair winning is just the icing on the cake, baby. I still say that's the best Rumble ever.

so you'd advise to get the ROH tapes before getting this one? Because from what I heard, the ROH matches with Shane are absolutely awesome.

What does everybody think of post-split AJPW? I mean, in the AJPW/NJPW wars, I thought it was great, because you'd see some really great matches, like most of the matches from the 6.6 and 6.8 shows in 2001, and the big tag from 12.14.00. I mean, obviously, those matches aren't exactly like the matches The Big Four had in their primes. I still think it's enjoyable to watch.

Go OUT OF YOUR WAY to see the Rhodes/Steamer vs. Enforcers match at the Clash XVI. Incredibly great match. Enforcers bring the awesome heel tag team shtick. Steamer brings the DRAWMUH~! Oh. And yeah. His mini-series with Austin was great.

OK. Downhome makes a good point with the WM XII main. Without a doubt. I didn't see much out of a few restholds...IN RETROSPECT. Of course we all loved it at first because it was Bret Hart vs. Shawn Michaels for Christ's sakes. On to the other points already made. Rock/HHH was a more exciting match and was crafted better, in my mind, because instead of a race to one fall in the first match, it seemed as if this match was basically, "See what you can do against my best moves." For instance: HHH gets Rocky with the Pedigree, takes a lead of 2-1. As SOON as the next fall began, a simple small package got the next fall. That's amazing brilliant, because it showed that HHH was a tenacious SOB who was gonna be on Rocky like stink on shit... However, I do think that for the match that was given to us, it could have been a little bit better in retrospect with a clean ending and better pacing. The way how they took the first part and made it look like it was going to be a war of attrition a la WM XII and then start having the fall fest kinda took away from the drama. The clean ending was just stupid, I think. Taker's entrance could have been best saved for afterwards. As far as the HHH/Foley series is concerned. Watch Royal Rumble again and see if you can think of a better match in WWF/E history that had the deathmatch surroundings and the carnage and a BRUTAL ending on top of that. Yes I've seen other deathmatches outside of this one and the ECW "deathmatches" but I still think that for the story told, it was an outstanding match, and worthy of the five star praise. HHH's race to finally beat Jack at his own game was phenomenal, as he showed he was a tough SOB by taking all that punishment, and then doing an amazing sick move at the end to show he can hang with Jack. Great story, great moves. Great match. And speaking of overrated matches... Shane/Kurt at KOR 2001-Sure, it's good because it's a non-wrestler against the best pure wrestler on the roster...but all I saw was spot after spot after spot. The wrestling sequence just seemed out of place to me in the beginning.

I doubt that the CW final match can be found in full anywhere...I haven't had much luck...
