I put down a deposit hoping for something good... This DVD should be worth $50...unbelievable. I'm absolutely in shock. Probably the best DVD buy I'll ever make.

Owen holds a special spot in my heart. It was back when he and Bret were feuding did I really see what kind of competitor he was. My lil brother liked him more than Bret...and I liked Bret more than Owen, and it was kind of a sibling rivalry. The cage match at SummerSlam 94 between the two is the best cage match ever put on by the WWE, even better than HIAC at Badd Blood and HIAC at NWO 2000. Seeing some of his stuff from Japan against Lyger and then some of his other matches with and against Bulldog, among others. I was completely amazed and disgusted at the same time, becuase Owen was simply a piece of brilliance in that ring, and it disgusted me when he didn't really get a chance to shine after Bret left. But when I look back on it, Owen was a great performer, a better wrestler, and a class act. I always get a little wrench in my stomach when I think about it...and he's in my mind whenever I see something that reminds me of him. Instead of getting over it, like some people think is the best thing to do, I do think it's best that we get stuff like this out and amongst ourselves. Owen, you're missed. I hope you're having great matches in that wrestling ring upstairs. Rest in peace.

^what'll it be?

OH MAN! Thank's for bringing up EDDY's name spelling dilemma. And the day that Low-Ki decides to implement psychology and other things into his repetoire, I'll believe it. I mean, I've seen him kick a ton of different ways, and he has the Dragon Clutch, the Ki Krusher, and the Phoenix Splash. Five moves...uhhh...last time I checked, that wasn't a great moveset...I know it looks good, but it takes a great carrier to get a GREAT match out of him.

^Best. Brawler. Ever. I mean, look at ^ name!

David Flair hasn't really had a chance to show his stuff...I mean, basically, everyone thinks that by putting him out there since he's Ric's son is gonna make him great. It's not gonna. He's still young, and he can improve. I personally think having his dad go out there with him and being there would give him some motivation. And guess what...in about five years...the REAL gem of the Flair kids comes to town...in the guise of Reid Flair. I'm telling you. This guy has the chance to do something HUGE if he wants to wrestle.

How come I get this feeling that Mutoh hasn't talked to Flair and HHH only once...
-
JHawk, you already know your own rulingness of your review...you know, because pimpin is pimpin, and I definitely know a lil somethin about that. Nice work, and I'm not really content with seeing HHH/Nash II in DA CAGE...because something tells me that it will suck balls...
-
I can't believe how he took a total schlub like HHH, and took him to a great match for seven and a half minutes. Leave it up to Ric Flair to bring it all to the table. I swear. He needs to ask Steamboat to come back for one match to show everybody how to wrestle again. Steamboat with a broken back is still better than most of the wrestlers out there, and I wouldn't be surprised if we got another classic from them.
-
I personally believe that if Mutoh AND Kojima leave, then AJPW will most certainly fold...because I feel that those two are pretty much all the star power they have left, along with Kawada. And although Kawada is Toshiaki Motherfuckin Kawada, I don't think he alone can carry an entire company on his back like this...especially with little or no support.
-
You got Benoit, Misawa, Kawada, Jumbo, Hokuto, Kong, Lyger...numerous people who have had absolutely superb matches. Why these people have had more diverse matches...I challenge anybody who questions the greatness of Ric Flair to see how he took a person who had no shot and turn him into a superstar. His greatness is not in his wrestling ability. These people were all about workrate that were mentioned. They were great in the ring. In fact, there was an absolutely OUTSTANDING match between Flair and Jumbo for the NWA title back in 1982 to prove two points: 1) Jumbo, bar none, was probably the best male wrestler in the history of professional wrestling. He could work with anybody at all, and he changed his style to fit. See his matches with Tenryu in the 80s, his matches with Terry Funk in the 70s, and then his matches with the Big Four in the 90s. 2) Flair, although maybe not as gifted workrate-wise as the great Jumbo, was just as great as Jumbo was as telling a story in that ring. Flair was able to have matches that were outstanding because Ric Flair MADE them outstanding. Not with his wrestling, but with his psychology, his style, and his selling. He's the best carrier in the business, in my top 5 all time, and I doubt that anybody with a keen sense of wrestling knowledge will disagree that Flair was a great wrestler. He might not have been a great WORKER...but he was a great WRESTLER.

Only thing I liked about Trips/Steiner at RR was the fact that I couldn't stop laughing at it. This just bugs me...RVD is still your most over face...why not put him on the card this early? I'm actually hoping he goes to TNA now...at least he'd get pushed...
