His match with HHH, probably the best RAW match in at least a year, and then his match with UT at WMX8 gets on here for two over 40s wrestling a helluva brawl, and oh yeah, Arn Anderson. SPINEBUSTAH. Nuff said. When he hit it, raised the four fingers, and rolled out, I absolutely jumped out of my fucking seat. And Flair bled like a muthafucka.

Well...my latest Vengeance review saw me give Filthy Animals/WGTT at Vengeance ****. Match before that that got **** from me? Probably Angle/Benoit, as both matches that were good at WM were ***3/4, and would have gotten **** if Jericho went over and if Brock hit the SSP.

Hulk Hogan Close To Signing Japanese Deal
EL DANDY~! replied to BifEverchad's topic in General Wrestling
For the record, the Takayama/Tenzan IWGP title match is CONFIRMED. This means no Takayama whooping on Hogan. I still think it'll be a tag of some sort. This sounds like a nice card just from these two matches. Me likey. -
^likes a certain outfit very much...

Hulk Hogan Close To Signing Japanese Deal
EL DANDY~! replied to BifEverchad's topic in General Wrestling
At this point, many websites are reporting that INOKI HIMSELF wants in, possibly making this a tag match between himself and Takayama vs. Hogan and Seiji Sakaguchi (who is 64 years old and just recently competed on a New Japan show). This would postpone the obvious IWGP title match between Takayama and Tenzan. Strong Style just reported that Chono has stepped in and wants a singles match with Hogan, and that Hogan is "90% confirmed" for the Tokyo Dome show. Sakaguchi would still like to tag with Hogan, so we might see a Sakaguchi/Hogan vs. Chono/Inoki tag, which would also keep the IWGP Title match intact, as well. It sounds like Ultimate Crush II is gonna be one helluva card the way things are shaping up. -
OK...first off, the dark match results. Am I reading this right... Jaime Noble d. KENDO KASHIN Uh...I knew that Mutoh, the president of All Japan, had been talking to HHH, but uh, can anyone downright CONFIRM that it was THE Kendo Kashin?

TWGTT, an absolutely brilliant job over the course of less than a year in adapting and coming together as a very good team. I mean, they lack some charisma, but they'll pick that up, and in spades. AMW needs a little bit more time, I think. Great RnR type babyfaces, but they really need to work on some things in order to be elite in NA. But uh, if you go international, it's Lyger and Kanemoto, who are unbeaten since winning the IWGP Jr. Tag Titles in Jan of this year.

The more I watch Jumbo Tsuruta, the more I believe that he should be required fucking viewing for all. If any of you liked what you saw through the big four in All Japan during the 90s, you can indirectly thank him. He was the best male wrestler I've ever seen, this coming from somebody who's watched many of the the Big Four's best matches, the juniors, and many US "Money Matches." He wrestled so many different wrestlers and adapted to their styles so well (watch his matches with Ric Flair, making him turn it up a notch, along with his matches with Terry Funk, Harley Race, Tenryu, Misawa as TM2, Misawa, Kawada, Kobashi, etc) and he's the most unselfish wrestler I've ever watched. Just an outstanding wrestler, who also had that ability to connect with the fans, EVEN when he was a surly bastard beating on the young upstarts. Female wise, Akira Hokuto. Hands down at this point. I haven't watched enough of Aja Kong or Jaguar Yokota, so I can't really make an attempt at that yet.

Douglas/Steamboat vs. Windham/Rhodes from a Clash of the Champions. The infamous "headbutt to the groin" spot from Rhodes to Steamboat. I remember Douglas tearing it ALL up in that match.

I can't believe that nobody said the quote that Arn Anderson said before the Wargames match at Fall Brawl '96, where he cut one of the greatest promos I've ever seen on the nWo. If anybody has that quote, it would be much appreciated. I personally think that hate doesn't get any better than that.

I still don't hear enough people praise the 12/14/00 tag match enough. I think it was just a beautiful match from beginning to end, especially with Kawada and Fuchi doing a great job as rudos.

My GOD, this is already turning great. I'm only through the first actual mission where you realize you're not in Kansas anymore and such, and I'm absolutely IN LUB. My social life (what one I had) is now officially gone because of this AND Madden 2004. Basically, if you have a GBA...MUST...OWN. Thank you.

Technically, it's a throw that stars with the person on it's feet, and eventually ends with him off his feet in any particular manner.

^liked Sid as World Champ...

How about Lyger/DICK TOGO in the Skydiving J? My GOODNESS that match kicked a whole lotta ass. Both guys were just absolute dicks to each other. I loved this match...
-
nice choices, Bradley... Oh, and I have no clue when Nitro went to 3 hours...WAIT. I KNOW NOW... They went to it...when they were desperate for ratings...
-
This match was WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAK...no blood, hardly any wrestling moves, no hate... I wasn't feeling the love...

^likes Kung Pow, hates Triple H...good man

All I know is that I need to see Ultimo Dragon fighting Rey already, and TWGTT actually being treated as such, and Eddy Fucking Guerrero taking up multitudes of my television time with his promos and great wrestling. If SmackDown! does that...count me IN.

I think its time for another anime thread
EL DANDY~! replied to Renegade's topic in Television & Film
What's the new one on Cartoon Network? Zodiac something? Heard that was pretty farking swell... Akira and Eva...as always, rule the school.... -
I think the Eddy comparison holds water...he's been getting major pops and his recent showings are enough that the fans can't get enough of him. He needs a push before the fans give up on him...hopefully the bookers haven't already done so...
