Video Games That Might Make Good Movies
Secret Agent replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in Television & Film
What about Mech Warrior? I think Battletech has a rich history, but it might be hard to explain it all on film. I think Star Wars: Knight's of the Old Republic would make a good movie, but I think they'd be better with a TV series based in that Star Wars timeline. Half-Life could be decent as well. I'd say Counter Strike but they already made that movie; they called it Delta Force. GTA, yes, would be an awesome movie, but only with an original story. -
Meh, it shouldn't. I copied and pasted mine directly from MS Word and they showed up fine for me. I've also copied stuff straight off the boards and posted it in no problem for news postings. Sorry you had some difficulty with it Janus, I'll look into it and make sure it isn't a reacurring issue. What I meant by my post, btw, was that Janus who has been retired for about 6 months managed to get his stats in there while half the active roster has yet to.

Hi all! I'm a part of the Smartmarks Wrestling Federation, the efed hosted at the bottom of these boards. We have recently been putting up a website and could desperately use all of your help with helping to get us know in a top 100 listing of e-feds. Since we've been here for a while and I know of quite a few of you, I thought I'd ask for some help with the voting. We've started to have less and less members lately, and could really use some new members. This will help get us noticed and get new members and maybe some decent people to discuss WWE and other issues as well. So if you'd like to help click HERE. Thanks, I appreaciate you guys.
-
*BUMP* Please get your stats up, people. Right now 8 active people have their stats up. *UPDATE* Frickin' JANUS has his stats up for the retired folk!
-
He got it from the fact that Fox won't negotiate with WWE. Like I said, source? I didn't ask for a parrot to repeat what was already said.
-
Where are your sources for all this USA bad blood? I think that if WWE were leaving Spike TV they'd already have finalized plans with the network where they're going. I don't know where you come off with this Fox won't negoiate with the WWE stuff either. No matter what network, if they think they can make money off it, and it fits in there vision of what the network should show, they'll put it on. That's just bussiness - it's all about the dollar.
-
yeah, ditto.
-
Why don't you stop trying to bash everything I'm trying to do, Dude. First X-Net, now this... what's next?
-
That was me that was actually tempted to slap that belt on WC, but he refused to oblige.

UPDATE: 03-09-05 Since everyone seems to be having problems with the session timeout (How long you stay logged in for) I increased the sessions to last for 2 hours of inactivity before logging you out. I know I'm probably going to get grumbles for not having peremant logins such as "Always Remember Me" but I'm not using cookies with this site. However, you should be able to stay logged in for quite some time. Wrestler Editing is also live. You can get there by going to 'Wrestler Central' and go to 'Edit Wrestler'. As a note to people. For some reason databases do not like quotation marks so if you want to use them in your wrestler you have to use the single ones. Johnny "The Barracuda" Dangerous must be written as Johnny 'The Barracuda' Dangerous or the database will not see anything past the first quotation (i.e. " ). This isn't my piss poor design skills, i just haven't found a way to get around it yet. Oh, it'd be nice if more than 4 people actually added their stats so we can start getting reviewed with X-Net. We already have 1 person that saw us from X-Net register with the site so good things could be on the horizion.

I just want to give a big congrats to Toxxic for being the first SWF World Champion to sucessfully defend the title at From the Fire. Toxxic making history again!

Since I breifly touched on it I'll go ahead and further explain my idea for how tag teams and Stables will work in this. If enough people express a different opinon I'll change it, but I've pretty much just gone off the thought of 'if this was my fed how would I want the site to be set up' when designing it. For Tag Team's one person would basically 'propse the team'. Make the stats etc, then the partner they indicate would have to log in and approve his/her involvement with the team. From here it goes to CC to either approve or deny the tag team. Stables are pretty similiar. One person sets up the stable and then CC aproves it. Then members would have to basically request to join the stable and once the person who initially started the stable would accept or deny them. If this is too much just tell me. If you'd rather me just set up a generic "Fill in your tag team/stable stats' form I can. However, later down the line for my Ultimate card booking system I'll need real tag teams (Not random wrestler A and Wrestler B tags for one match) to actually have the name of the tag team and members involved to be signed up.
-
Go to "My menu" then "Members Central" or "Edit Account"
-
Thats because you'll have to add stables and tag teams seperately. Then they'll show up with a link to stables/tag team stats.

SWF Storm Card, 3-11-05!
Secret Agent replied to Chuck Woolery's topic in Smarks Wrestling Federation
... We're about to have us a rumble Mr. WC. Plus I was waiting on peeps to add wrestlers in so i could put the title with the right person. After that I can finish updating the total title histories, linking those with active wrestlers as well as make the title days automated. meaning everyday at 12 a.m. it will automatically add another day to a title reign. -
The acting wasn't that bad. It was just a bad script/idea to do a WM promo with. They should have done Regal in a James Bond spoof or something.

SWF Storm Card, 3-11-05!
Secret Agent replied to Chuck Woolery's topic in Smarks Wrestling Federation
Tom, I have a link to the forums on the website already. It's under the "Interact" section. I can move it to be more noticable if you'd like. I can label it "FORUMS" if you like. Toxxic, consider it fix. I also just put something up there just to get us on there. if anyone wants to write something better feel free; I'll change it. Wildchild, I don't know what our actual banner is I just made that one to try to look better than the other efeds banners. I don't know if it looks good or not, I just made it. As far as banners being hosted, I have a website that can host pretty much anything if you guys want. Dace, if you'd like to help with anything, hit me up and I'll give you FTP access. As far as ratings go this isn't ratings this is a topsite thing with X-Net Wrestling. They want me to basically have a roster up on the site first to start rating us. I've emailed them saying that our roster is on the boards for right now but I have yet to hear back from them. So I guess as soon as I get my SWF CAW systems up and running we can start getting rated. I'm working on them now and it's my first priority. A -

SWF Storm Card, 3-11-05!
Secret Agent replied to Chuck Woolery's topic in Smarks Wrestling Federation
WTF? I have no desire to be booked in a match like this. By time everyone gets out I'll have used up half of that 6k. I thought the shows after PPV's were reserved as promo shows, no? -

Mystery man is going to get his ass kicked regardless. Fool left me with no PPV match. -
So wait, let me get this straight. Because prices will go up and people won't be able to afford it...we shouldn't try to make changes at all? We should just keep the ineffective wages where they are? Keep the entire situation stagnant because, hell, it's only going to get worse eventually anyway? Please. And I'm not so much disgruntled as I understand the situation these people have to face. I've worked a minimum wage job before, but I haven't needed to live off it. I did work with people though who did. People with a fine work ethic, but people that found themselves backed into the situation at the present moment without another real alternative. People don't live off a minimum wage job because they CHOOSE to. I didn't say we shouldn't do anything about poor people and what not. Raising minimum wage is not the cure. Companies will just pass this cost off to the consumer and the difference in income that you make will just go to paying more for the same item. If you can't afford your rent now, an extra 12 bucks a week isn't going to allow you to afford it and prices will still go up. Also, most other jobs don't give raises to all their employees when minimum wage goes up. However, those employees will still have to pay a higher price for goods. If you ever want to spend time with your kids, it pretty much can't. And what happens to the plight of single parents then? Or are they just disregarded here too? If I had to choose between giving my kids food in their mouth and a roof over their head I'd work, work, work, work. 2,3,4 jobs if I had to - seeing them alive and healthy takes presidence over spending time with them. For the single parent there is always Government assistance.
-
Look, you must be disgruntled because you have a low paying minimum wage job, NY Untouchable, but believe me when i say raising the minimum wage won't do anything. Soon prices will go up and you still won't be able to afford it, and then there will be another talk of raising the wage. Also, don't give me that crap that you can't work a second job while raising a family. I have a friend that works 3 jobs to support his wife and 3 kids. There has been many times I've worked 70-80 hours a week between 2 jobs; it can be done.
-
It doesn't matter where you live. Nobody should even think for a second that they are going to survive on a minimum wage job; it wasn't designed for that purpose. Also, if they need more money they can do what I've done everytime I needed some extra money. Get a second job.
