I've argued for about 30 min now about HHH/RVD and then it hit me. We're forgetting the big picture here. The whole reason we are mad is because we have lost our faith in the WWE to actually pay off with an angle or feud. Guys like HHH and Taker have caused us to lose that faith cause their pull backstage is just too strong.

I said it in another thread. I just think we've all lost faith in the WWE to actually pay off in the end. Especially with HHH the way he is.

APO I pray that you're right. Honestly I do. I think what it all boils down to is we've lost our faith in the WWE to pay off. It really has nothing to do with HHH, RVD, or Flair. We just don't have faith in the WWE to hit a pay off anymore.

I think the problem is in the fact that his has been put off for way too long in the first place and that HHH isn't doing much for the "World Title" anyway so keeping it on him longer isn't going to help the title have credibility so why do it? It needs to be put on someone that can make the fans care about it. When you realize a mistake you have made like giving the title to HHH then you don't prolong it just out of hopes that the fans will turn around. You fix that mistake and THEN begin the credibility process with someone it will work on.

no because as I've stated before I fail to see the drastic no-selling by RVD in the Benoit match that everyone mentions. My dislike for Edge doesn't stem from him being pushed cause you're right he is in the midcard. That's where the problem starts. He isn't being pushed.....yet he's making main eventers look like they're not in his league (Angle). That's the problem. If they're going to make him look that strong then they SHOULD be pushing him. In not pushing him yet still making him look that way that is causing the problem.

I have the RVD/Benoit match from SummerSlam on my computer and maybe I'm the only one, but I still don't see RVD no selling throughout the whole match. I'm not sure what you people want him to do. Writhe around on the mat like his back is broken while Benoit squashes him? Sometimes I think the RVD hate can be just as blinding as the RVD love in my opinion. Sometimes I think the hate is more blinding.

Funny........what I heard from the crowd was pro-Brock and when the ending went down it sure sounded to me like the crowd was about to kill someone. Maybe we were listening to two different things?

Well then it sounds to me that you hate RVD fans not RVD himself. And you don't have to worry about me cause I don't drool over him.......I'm actually pushing for either a Booker T or an Angle push right now, but I'm still a little upset over the booking in the RVD/HHH match.

and I sincerely hope you don't think I'm just trying to flame. I just honestly don't understand the RVD hate. I completely understand thinking he's overrated cause I tend to agree, but outright hate is odd to me and it always will be. I've heard it put best when someone said that while RVD is overrated he's entertaining and workrate isn't what has made for the best main eventers in the WWE......just look at Hogan and the Rock. So when I see people just outright hating RVD I tend to be a little leary cause it just doesn't make sense to me. I decided to move this to another post cause by the time I typed it someone else posted.

actually my comment was more of an assumption on what Incandenza was thinking more than on what you were thinking so calm down. And I fail to see the common sense in even having Flair involved in the HHH/RVD feud so sue me!

Yeah nothing about HHH tonight was any worse than what's already happened. It was Taker that really showed his cancerous ways tonight.

okay he needed the turn, but that doesn't cover the fact that it still made no sense the way it was done. and Flair's last heel run wasn't exactly great stuff.

are you sure that's not APO's RVD hate getting in the way of him seeing the horrible Flair turn and more than likely RVD/Flair feud?

Trips winning might have been the right thing to do.......but putting a nonsensical Flair turn in there that more than likely will lead to a RVD/Flair feud instead of a RVD/HHH rematch isn't the right thing to do. So I completely understand the bitching.

I've heard that they are building to an Angle/Brock WrestleMania main event. Which means Angle's winning the Royal Rumble!!! But after tonight Brock has been made to look stupid by the Undertaker.

Could we get someone who was at the ppv to tell us how the crowd was after the cameras stopped rolling? I'm curious as to how it went.

Why are all these places like Australia, UK, and Hawaii dropping the WWE? is it because of the HLA and Gay Wedding stuff?

Here's your rundown Kane got the win for the Americans by pinning Storm Jericho sand bagged to sucker Flair into the Walls and made him tap Island Boys beat Billy and Chuck (please excuse my typo I had a sec ago) Eddy beat Edge in a good match HHH beat RVD when Flair hit RVD with a sledge hammer Benoit/Angle put on Match of the Year and the crowd was actually hot for this one Trish won the women's title When Steph went out for the HLA Bisch called out an ugly lesbo that ended up being Rikishi in drag who then stink faced Bischoff Brock/Taker ended in a DQ/No Contest which pissed off the crowd beyond belief. Taker made Brock look like a bitch and ended the ppv by throwing Brock through the set. That's about it.

I disagree. I think the crowd was hotter for this match. The wrestling was about equal so the hotter crowd elevates it to better than the X7 match in my opinion.

Benoit/Angle had it all. Great wrestling and a hot crowd. What more can you ask for?

Should this be in the NHB folder?? Watch........we boycott RAW and on that RAW they have a HHH/RVD rematch and RVD wins. Maybe it's wishful thinking.

Again I pose the question........do you honestly think there will be a rematch? If there is what was Flair's purpose in this whole thing in the first place??? The only time I see them even attempting a rematch is tomorrow on RAW.

What pissed me off about the ppv: A short Jericho/Flair match A nonsensical Flair heel turn in the middle of a good RVD/HHH match The HLA bait and switch (I knew a bait and switch would happen, but the atleast could have had a good one......Rikishi in drag???) and the BS ending to the Main Event.

I said it earlier the wrestling was great tonight, but the glaringly horrible booking tonight put a huge damper on the ppv. I honestly don't see a HHH/RVD rematch unless they do it on RAW tomorrow.
