I read that too. That's gotta be one of the biggest botched finishes in WWE history. Cena was supposed to get out of the powerbomb attempt, and then Batista was supposed to powerbomb him later and then toss him out clean. The refs had no idea what to do at first and just raised Batista's hand until Vince gave the headset order for them to do the disputed raise hand deal until he gets out there (which also explains why no music for Vince's entrance). They're lucky Cena went tumbling out too, cuz if just Batista fell out they'd be in loads of trouble. It seems that original poster's observations pretty much nailed it. I didn't even notice, it all looked pretty planned to me. They did a good job covering (well, besides Vince blowing his quad out...)

Grrrr....UFC is going the way of WWE and raising their PPVs from 29.95 to 34.95 starting with the April Couture/Liddell 2 show. That's not very helpful...

Gilbert Arenas is a must pick, and Larry Hughes should really get a spot to honor his career first half (he's injured anyway, so you name him an all star and can replace him with someone else who can play, no harm, benefits the most people).

No love for our dearth of pitching prospects? Hayden Penn? Adam Loewen? John Maine? Val is nice as far as hitters in our system go (which are very weak), but I think Nick Markakis will be even better....

I got it last year when I was at school, and on a broadband connection the quality is excellent, TV quality for sure. You get all the games (although it's random whether they use the home or away feed) live, and they're archived the next day to go back and watch. Definitely reccomend it. Wish NBA.com did the same thing. It's 14.95 on a monthly basis I believe...

Well, it's my last weekend home before returning to school, but I don't know if this really sounds like a "must see" card. Then again, the same thing was thought about UFC 49 which ended up being the show of the year for UFC. So...is this worth ordering or should I wait until the DVD comes out?

Damn. Besides the disappointing ending, at least it was done well and wasn't cheap and builds to a rematch making eveyone look stronger, but what a PPV. Turning Point was good, but Final Resolution IMO was excellent. I can't remember I had that much FUN watching a PPV. I was marking out over and over again and I was just watching it alone, really into it. The opener was just what it needed to be, a hot match. Skipper/Dutt put on an exciting spotfest, Dustin and Kash had a suprisingly good psychology based match, Piper made Hall/Hardy entertaining (I was laughing at the prematch frisking and the results!). Raven/Watts wasn't great but there are circumstances around that. The 3 way was what it needed to be and gave everyone hope for Monty. The last 3 matches were literally nonstop action. Just an awesome triple main event to finish things. AMW are like tag team gods. Another emotional tag team battle for them. I loved how it evolved from brawling to the heel heat segment, to all the nearfalls to the backfiring interference. ****s at least. And then, Ulitmate X was just one markout moment after another. I don't want to throw 5 snowflakes out there but it was pretty perfect. I mean AJ bringing the psychology with the hurt hand and not being able to climb? The spot where AJ flipped inside out and I thought he was dead? The way he sold the destroyer? The way he leaped out of nowhere to grab the belt? Hell, AJ made the match! And the main event was what it needed to be if Jarrett was going to retain. Nothing like Nash interfering or a dumb ref bump leading to a pin. Monty looked like a contender, took Jarrett to his limit and it took Jarrett countless gutair shots, lowblows and strokes to finally put him away. I hope they promote the 1 on 1 rematch for Feb. like everyone wanted and pull the trigger on Monty. Oh, and I can't forget the atmosphere. I have never seen a crowd quite like the Impact Zone audience that is consistently into the show from start to finish. Their cheers and chants really added a layer of atmosphere to the show. I would highly reccomend the replay for anyone with the funds. I would gladly forgoe ordering Royal Rumble in favor of this show. Ok, enough of my gushing, let's hear from others who watched the show. As for those who didn't see it, wait until you all read other opinions, results, etc. and honestly respond whether it was a show you might have enjoyed.

I froze Jury is out, but if this is all they gave up and most of his contract picked up there's little downside to this move.

The important distinction is between news JOURNALISTS and COMMENTATORS. The radio is dominated by conservative commentators who's job isn't to report the news but to express their opinion and be entertaining. Similarily, Fox News has people like Oreilly and Hannity who host debate style shows that are also meant to present points of view. The "liberal bias" as exists in places like newspapers and network news exists in institutions that are supposed to REPORT the news not slant their opinion. The New York Times only posting negative headlines and CBS news reporting on false documents are not the same as Rush or Savage yelling about the evils of liberals. They are not providing the same service.

If he actually wrote the above topic, I hope Bush institutes the draft, and Slapnuts is the first one recruited. I know that. See that's the funny thing, I look back on my response and agree it was stupid and melodramatic. It was something I didn't think about, just sort of a knee jerk post I made.
