Wasn't defefended at Turning Point and that was one of their best shows. I mean, really, do people want to see Jeff Jarrett singles matches now?

The 3 week delay tapings do not help. If they can't tape every week, they at least need to go back to every other week tapings to keep things more fresh. Also, they should try to provide one match every show that's 15-20 minutes and PPV qualiy to make the show worthwhile for wrestling fans. Like a couple weeks ago with that X division shootout match or a few weeks back when they had Styles vs. Kash. If fans know they can expect one showcase match a week they'll tune into watch...

Honestly, this looks like a show from the sheer balls to the wall excess that could be either really good or really bad but either way should be entertaining in a car wreck sort of way. I'll probably give it an order too. One thing's for sure, it's Dusty's last stand.

Well, definitely not the last one. The first one's not so bad, nor is the third. Don't know what's going on in the second one. I wouldn't wear any of them regardless...

The veteran champions’ powers of persuasion have led to power players standing at his side. The year began with “The Kings of Wrestling,” a team Jarrett forged with Scott Hall and Kevin Nash. That team helped him defeat Jeff Hardy & Monty Brown to retain his title. Soon, Nash set his sights on becoming champion and the Kings disbanded. Jarrett rarely runs alone these days so soon super-free agent The Outlaw was enlisted to help Jarrett retain his title against Nash, despite the re-emergence of Sean Waltman. Last month at TNA Wrestling “Destination X,” Diamond Dallas Page had proclaimed it was time, and that he would defeat Jarrett for the title. Once again The Outlaw was there to help Jarrett but Waltman and Nash made sure his interference would not save Jarrett. DDP had the title in his grasp when Monty Brown pounced his way to Jarrett’s side keeping the title on The King of the Mountain. Jarrett had once again persuaded another ally to his side. Come this Sunday at TNA Wrestling “Lockdown” the NWA World Heavyweight Championship may not be on the line but Jarrett will have nowhere to hide locked in Six Sides of Steel. Lethal Lockdown is the game this Sunday that Jarrett, Brown & The Outlaw will play against DDP, Waltman & an opponent to be named (replacing an injured Kevin Nash). But keep in mind Lethal Lockdown is no ordinary game as all weapons are legal and the rules of the lockdown will be in place. One member of each team will start in the ring with another participant being randomly drawn. Jarrett will find out just how strong his alliances are as this match is sure to be brutal, and what will the champion do if he is left alone inside professional wrestling most unforgiving structure. There is plenty of bad blood surrounding this match and the brutality of it is not be missed. BREAKING NEWS: NASH UNABLE TO COMPETE AT LOCKDOWN - STILL DETERMINED TO APPEAR AT THE PAY-PER-VIEW On Wednesday morning, TNA Wrestling learned that Kevin Nash will be unable to compete at this Sunday’s Lockdown Pay-Per-View due to a knee injury as a result of a staph infection the superstar recently suffered. Nash had been preparing in recent days for the event, but the injury has not healed to the extent to allow him to compete. Director of Authority Dusty Rhodes will name a substitute to take Nash’s place in the Six Sides of Steel during this Sunday’s Pay-Per-View. TNAwrestling.com hopes to have an update on Nash’s injury this weekend. UPDATE: TNAwrestling.com has just learned that Kevin Nash phoned TNA management at noon to deliver word that despite the injury, he is determined to appear at this Sunday's Pay-Per-View. Nash will be seeing a doctor in Atlanta later today in an effort to get medical clearance to appear at the Pay-Per-View. We also understand a comment may be forthcoming from Jeff Jarrett, who is taking full responsibility for putting Nash out of action. TNAwrestling.com hopes to have another update on Kevin Nash by tomorrow morning. UPDATE2: The past month has been hellacious for Kevin Nash, who has been nursing a leg injury originally sustained at Destination X. Despite the pain, Nash continued training for his bout at Lockdown. However the injury developed into a staph infection, and despite treatment, worsened to the point where on Wednesday morning Nash informed TNA management he would be unable to compete in the bout at the Pay-Per-View. According to Director of Authority Dusty Rhodes, NWA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Jarrett, The Alpha Male Monty Brown and The Outlaw were more than happy to boast about "putting Nash out" upon being informed of the injury by Rhodes. Rhodes also promised Jarrett that he would name a replacement for Nash during the Pay-Per-View this Sunday. After hearing of Jarrett's reaction on Thursday afternoon, Nash informed TNA management that while he may not be able to compete in the ring, he would indeed be at the Pay-Per-View this Sunday night in support of Diamond Dallas Page and Sean Waltman. SIX SIDES OF STEEL: FOR THE NUMBER ONE CONTENDER The Phenomenal AJ Styles vs. Abyss There is one thing that is coveted above all in professional sports and that is to become a world champion. Some wait an entire career just to get a shot at becoming a world champion. This Sunday at Total Nonstop Action Wrestling “Lockdown” Abyss and AJ Styles will face in Six Sides of Steel to determine who will get a shot at the NWA World Heavyweight Championship at next month’s “Hard Justice.” AJ Styles has held the NWA World Heavyweight Championship two times and has been the most accomplished champion in TNA Wrestling history. He knows what it is like to be world champion and wants the have the belt around his waist again. Called by many the greatest athlete in professional wrestling, Styles does not fear any opponent, and while his battles with Abyss are legendary, he is not afraid of stepping into Six Sides of Steel against the monster. “I’m not afraid of facing Abyss, I want my shot at Jarrett and that title,” said Styles. “Abyss just stands in my way and I will do anything it takes to go to ‘Hard Justice’ and once again be the NWA World Heavyweight Champion.” The monster Abyss is the most dangerous competitor on the TNA roster. He seems to have an un-human threshold for pain and an even greater desire to inflict it. No one knows what or who motivates this monster but his sights are squarely set on the championship, which he has never held. While most men go into a match like Six Sides of Steel with some reservations, it appears that the man who always carries an iron chain will feel right at home surrounded by metal. Abyss refused to comment on the upcoming match. Two men have one goal and are willing to sacrifice to realize their dream. But only one will get a shot at the championship next month. The only question remaining is; just how far will they go to become #1 contender this Sunday on pay-per-view? SIX SIDES OF STEEL: X CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH The Fallen Angel vs. Primetime Triple X was one of the most successful tag teams in the history of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. The team of “The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels and “Primetime” Elix Skipper are former NWA World Tag Team Champions and were forced to disband after losing to America’s Most Wanted in a Six Sides of Steel match at “Turning Point.” Since the separation both have embarked on singles careers that have seen Daniels become the X-Division Champion and Skipper the number one contender for his title. With Director of Authority Dusty Rhodes' announcement that for the first time ever an entire professional wrestling pay-per-view event will be held in a steel cage, this match up between the two former partners is truly ironic. In the same six sided steel structure that their legacy as Triple X ended, one man will reign supreme. “I respect Elix, we were a great tag team,” said Daniels “But it is no secret that I carried us, I have always been the better wrestler. This is my house and in that cage the world will know Triple X had only one primetime player.” Both these men have been so close for so long that they know each others moves and strategies like no one else in TNA Wrestling. There is more than just the coveted X-Division title on the line but the answer to a great sport mystery of who is better. TNA ISSUES PARENTAL ADVISORY FOR “LOCKDOWN” Nashville, TN (April 11, 2005) – Last week on Total Nonstop Action Wrestling “iMPACT!,” Director Of Authority, Dusty Rhodes announced that all matches on the April 24th pay-per-view event “Lockdown” will be held in Six Sides of Steel. This announcement marks the first time an entire professional wrestling pay-per-view event will take place in a steel cage. Due to the sometimes violent nature of a steel cage match and the unpredictability of live television, TNA management wants to reiterate and emphasize the TV-14 rating that the show receives. According to the TV Parental Guidelines, a TV-14 program is a program that contains some material that many parents would find unsuitable for children under 14 years of age. Parents are strongly cautioned and urged to exercise greater care in monitoring this program and are cautioned against letting children under the age of 14 watch unattended. A steel cage is professional wrestling’s most unforgiving structure and some of pro wrestling’s most horrifying moments have occurred in this type of match. This will be only the fourth Six Sides of Steel Match in TNA history, which has produced some of the most talked about moments in the sport over the past year. Total Nonstop Action Wrestling “iMPACT!” airs Fridays at 4PM on FSN (check local listings) with a Saturday midnight(local) replay and a Thursday night 2AM replay. A TNAWRESTLING.COM INTERVIEW WITH AMW'S "WILDCAT" CHRIS HARRIS ABOUT THE LOCKDOWN PAY-PER-VIEW Not only are America's Most Wanted the most celebrated tag team in TNA history, but they are also masters of the cage match. Having competed in more cage matches than anyone in TNA, "Wildcat" Chris Harris and "Cowboy" James Storm know what kind of brutality to expect at the Lockdown Pay-Per-View on April 24. In this exclusive TNAwrestling.com interview, Chris Harris talks about the upcoming epic event, AMW's cage match against Team Canada, the toll the steel structure takes on your mind and body and so much more! Q: What is the top steel cage moment in your career thus far? HARRIS: The first TNA cage match when we did the Death Sentence from the top. There have been great moments in TNA cage matches since that and we set a standard with the first one for people to try and top it. We were the first to do something crazy that everyone was talking about. Q: How do you prepare differently going into a cage match? HARRIS: First off, it is definitely more physical and brutal. When you go into a regular match it’s either going to be scientific or brawling. When you get in the cage you’re there for a reason, to brawl. You don’t like your opponents and you better cut them into pieces or they will try and cut you down. Q: What type of toll does having a match like this play on your body & mind? HARRIS: You may not be able to walk out even if you win. You’re bloody and cut up. The next day you will probably find cuts on you that you didn’t even know you had. I don’t think people realize what kind of damage is done in the cage. Now that it’s in six sides it’s much worse then four. With Six Sides of Steel the cage has less give to it so when you are rammed into it you feel it a lot more than in a square cage. It’s like hitting a brick wall. The toll on your body compared to a normal match is ten fold. Q: You guys have had more cage matches than anyone else in TNA history and Team Canada has had none, what advantage does that give you at Lockdown HARRIS: We are more prepared because we have been there. Having the experience in the cage give us the advantage. A major disadvantage for Team Canada is while they have beaten us before, they always seem to use the numbers game. This time around it will be two on two and they will not have anyone else able to help them out. In a match like this so much can happen. We have the experience of giving it all in that cage and we will do it again. They are not prepared to take the punishment me and Storm are going to dish out. Q: When placed in such an imposing structure as Six Sides of Steel how does your strategy change? Are you looking to damage your opponent more? HARRIS: Absolutely, I want to make them unrecognizable. You have free reign with a weapon and it’s all around you. In that match I’ll take any opportunity to hurt them, ram any part of their bodies into the steel. Q: What type of role can Scott D’Amore play next Sunday? HARRIS: He will be there and I’m sure he will try and get involved. But since the cage is up we expect a lot less involvement from him than usual. But knowing that D’Amore, I’m sure he has something up his sleeve. Q: You guys have been involved in some of the bloodiest matches in TNA history, what does seeing your own blood in the ring do to your psyche? HARRIS: That has changed with me over time, going into a match like this you expect to bleed. Sometimes you don’t even know it and you’ve been cut in a few different places. The first time you see your own blood, and I used to feel like this, you think how am I going to come back from this? How bad am I hurt? But now that I’ve been there a few times, I know I can come back from it because I have before so it doesn’t effect me. Now it fires me up, when I see my own blood, or as sick as it sounds taste it, it puts me in a rage. I become a crazy animal in there. We have bled and won and come back from it. Q: What was it like at that first cage match when you were standing at the top of the cage and hit the Death Sentence (one of the top five cage moments fans can vote on through tnawrestling.com)? HARRIS: I don’t remember that much of it. We had beat the hell out of each other so I was kind of out of it. We hit the Death Sentence from the top rope when Elix was outside and Daniels kicked out. We couldn’t believe it he kicked out of our finisher. What do we have to do to beat these guys. Storm gave me the signal to climb the cage and I climbed up. I don’t think that I was thinking. That cage is a LOT higher than anyone would expect. I just had to do no turning back at that point so I just jumped. I couldn’t even celebrate I was so hurt. I didn’t feel any of the pain. I mean we won so all the pain went out the window. I look at the tape now and think, I must have been crazy. I can still feel the effects of it from time to time. Q: What can fans expect from next Sunday’s “Lockdown” as the first ever, all cage pay-per-view event will take place? HARRIS: It will be an exciting night brutality from start to finish. Six Sides of Steel and AMW always equal excitement. But with the cage up the whole night you got guys who have never been in there before and they are out to prove something. The talent here in TNA is by far the best in the world, and everyone wants to prove how good they are. The fans will definitely get their money’s worth. It will be a night to remember

I don't like the idea. The TNA folder goes through it's lag time without posts mostly because of the taping schedule that tapes 3 shows at a time. Once the tapings are discussed there really isn't much news for another 3 weeks but before and after PPVs there is a lot of good discussion. Being the #2 promotion (distant, granted) and only other promotion with a national TV and PPV presence I believe TNA deserves it's own folder to continue discussion. I agree, I don't see a reason this needs to be "fixed". TNA's audience and the general Indy audience are different in many respects. For instance, I don't know much about "indy wrestling" but am a big TNA fan. So, it would be inconveniant to scroll through indy threads to find something relevant to TNA. So I vote against this move. Even though I don't really visit Puro since I don't watch it, I'd imagine that folder should be kept seperate too since it's its own product (perhaps diversify it by naming it the "International" folder?)

It looks like it. Saturday night is a better night for them anyway. The last show that was a Friday night was UFC 50: The War of '04 in October since I remember driving up to Atlantic City on a Friday after my classes. OK, well BMG didn't have Images And Words (I finally had a featured selection worth getting in Anthrax: Greater Of Two Evils which I wanted to get anyway, and so I get 2 free cds as a result) so I got Awake and Train Of Thought.

That's REALLY funny. I was just telling my friend on AIM about how Matt Hardy and Rhyno in a revenge movie called KILL VINCE would be funny, and they could kill Lita, Edge, Johnny Ace, HHH and Steph on the way to Vince. And then seconds later I see that picture. Tremendous!

Oh management hasn't liked Hardy since he split from his brother. I remember reading reports that Vince didn't "get" the V1 gimmick and reports of Hardy clashing with Johnny Ace and creative about his push (obviously they saw him as nothing more then a midcard guy- he is small after all), and of course we all know how WWE loves the internet fans and wrestlers airing the business on their websites, so that was like the kiss of death. Hopefully between TNA, ROH and other indy bookings where he should get paid topped dollar he'll do ok for himself. I think the Hardy Boy reunions alone will have steam for a few months...

I'm not looking to download anything, I want to get a cd and am looking for what their fans would consider their best work...I just heard a track from Train Of Thought on Music Match Jukebox so maybe I'll get that. Oh and the soft tracks I heard I think were from Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence. Now I like prog rock (Rush being a favorite) but really these tracks just sounded like adult contemporary or something, definitely not rock in the sense. Is the whole album like that? See this is the info I need so I don't buy one with a different style and then shun the whole band for it.

Like I said, it's kind of hard to fake having a huge black and blue lump of flesh under your eye after getting hit in the face with a barrage of punches...

Maybe it WAS Austin who left the message on Christian's phone. I forget. Yeah it was definitely Austin leaving the message when he was bored. As mentioned he has a hearing problem in one of his ears so he really does say What? a lot to get people to repeat things so he was having some fun with that.
