Vince Mcmahon calls TNA programming "Reprehensible"

In all seriousness, this is just a publicity soundbite rather than a firm statement. I doubt Vince is that up on the current TNA product and if he is, I doubt TNA's TV-14 stance means anything to him at all either way personally. I don't think there's much to read into it besides "Vince uses opposition to put over WWE in interview".

Vince Mcmahon calls TNA programming "Reprehensible"

So, how long before TNA come out and say "Hey, Vince is wrong about us being reprehensible, I don't know anyone who's got a Samoan tribal hunting knife or 10,000 laying around their house so what we're doing is a-okay for children!"

Vince Mcmahon calls TNA programming "Reprehensible"

To be fair, most children probably couldn't lift a sledgehammer, so I guess it falls somewhere in between obtainable and unobtainable. For what it's worth my grandparents have metal folding chairs ready for extra seating at large family meals. Every year I'm struck with endless temptation to brain myself with one of them. Clearly WWE's reprehensible programming has corrupted me.

Vince Mcmahon calls TNA programming "Reprehensible"

I assume Vince's logic was, if it were weapons that'd be lying around the house being used, children could easily replicate it at home. But my first thought then was 'sledgehammer'.

I think Andre, after saying it was Tunney fault, said something along the lines of he would have been World Champion if not for him. Or started to, then garbled and ran off. I've got that CZW show on DVD. Can't remember how many times I wound back and watched that moonsault double stomp.

Wrestling Roster Draft: Luxe & Reduxe

Wow, Vince is a HELL of a pick, especially paired against Stu Hart. Anyway, next pick is going to sort out my junior heavyweight division by slotting in against Noble in what'd be a real technical classic. And that pretty much is my junior heavyweight division at the moment. The first ever WCW Cruiserweight Champion, not to mention NWA Jr. Heavyweight Champion and 'AWA World Heavyweight Champion', with air quotations. I'm taking the mid 90s Junior Heavyweight version, although he's still wrestling now as a heavyweight for Zero-One. SHINJIRO OHTANI
  12. The SWF presents... "YO QUIERO SWF!" LIVE to DVD from the Taco Bell Arena in Boise, Idaho 7pm EST, SATURDAY, 11TH APRIL Aye aye aye! No me gusta! Aye carumba! And now that I've got my entire Spanish vocabulary out of the way we can move on. We're eminating from the Taco Bell Arena this time out, which means a couple of things. One, many of us will leave with things eminating from us into the early hours of the next morning. And two, product placement! SWF WORLD TACO TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS The Breslins (Luke and Leo Breslin) © vs. The GTA Fight Team (Tod James Stuart © and Daniel Smith) Due to some 'lax organization in the SWF front offices, The GTA Fight Team have been sitting on a Tag Team Title shot ever since All Hallows last year. To be fair, we never actually said it was to determine number one contenders when they beat TKO, just hinted it. And, to be fair, they've been kinda busy ever since, with Tod James Stuart winning the Cold Front Classic and capturing the World Title. But even so, we've found the mislayed paperwork in one of Landon's old jackets he was going to try and sell on eBay. So, now seems like no better time than to let the match happen. Especially as, intriguingly, at Northwest Navigation Luke Breslin won the right to challenge for Tod's World Championship. And we don't intend on making him wait about five months to cash in on that. So you give a little and you get a little. This time out it's Tod and protege after Luke and brother's titles, which just might serve as a marker set down for their upcoming reversal of roles. Word Limit: 6500 Rules: Standard tag match, remember those tag ropes. Send To: King Cucaracha BELLGRANDE GRUDGE MATCH Taiga Star © vs. Thoth These two don't like each other. So when they fight, it's not just any match, but a grudge match. Taiga knocked Thoth out of the running in last year's Cold Front Classic and Thoth wasn't too happy about it. Thoth hurt Taiga's hand and Taiga wasn't too happy about it. Thoth's team scored the win last time out over Taiga's team, which probably didn't sit too well with her either. If I'm missing anything, my apologies. But really, the war starts in earnest here. Word Limit: 5500 Rules: Standard singles Send To: Toxxic SPICY TRIPLE THREAT PLATTER Michael Alexander vs. Va'aiga vs. MANSON A battle of epic proportions between MANSON and Va'aiga at Northwest Navigation proved frustratingly inconclusive, albeit epic. So in the interest of fairness, we let them go at it again. This time though, we take the leftovers and add a special new ingredient (no reflection on our sponsors for the evening, I assure you!) in the form of Michael Alexander. Missing out on the number one contendership at Northwest Navigation will surely give Alexander cause to want to get back on the winning track. Question is, are MANSON's powers strong enough to wipe out two former World Champions? Word Limit: 5000 Rules: Triple Threat one fall to a finish, no tags neccessary. No DQ and no CO. Send To: King Cucaracha FRESCO COMEBACK MATCH SUPREME! Insane Luchador vs. Big Bully Bruner I'll save any jokes involved Bruner and Taco Bell to somebody less tactful. Suffice is to say, he's a big man. And a big test for anyone. Even former World Champions returning to the SWF this show, like Insane Luchador who had a hell of a 2008 and makes his first SWF appearance of 2009 here. No easy welcome back for IL, as Bruner has been racking up the wins recently in his own right. The IL comeback could be cut off at the knees, or for a better analogy squashed and flattened, before it's even begun. But if The Insane One is the same Insane Luchador who tore through all competition last year, look out everyone else! Word Limit: 4500 Rules: Standard Singles Send To: Toxxic WHY PAY MORE! FOR A WACKY TAG OPENER Dance Dance Dragon and Legs Flamingo vs. The Sensational Academy Fun fun fun. Or, more than likely, not much fun at all actually. Word Limit: 4000 Rules: Standard Singles Send To: Does it matter? (send all marked matches, promos etc to King Cucaracha)

Again, Matt didn't actually confess to doing such things, rather he implied doing them. Pulling out that dog collar/leash was a total dick move that IMO cemented Matt as a good heel. This in turn prompted Jeff's angry reaction and his pissed attitude on his last two matches, just going out and beating the shit out of his opponents. I really don't see where they changed directions or revamped anything. I see this as a natural progression of the feud. I don't think he even implied it, did he? Seemed to me they had him take responsibility for the storyline stuff and have him talk about the real-life stuff in a way where people could draw whatever conclusion worked for them. The dog leash thing, he explained that he was hanging onto it until it was the right time, but obviously he didn't care about anymore.

Wrestling Roster Draft: Luxe & Reduxe

Adding a little more entertainment value with this pick. You know what there's not enough of in wrestling today? Stalling. Sure, you can have guys who go out there and chain wrestle themselves into knots, take crazy dives to the floor and come up with innovative ways to drop each other on their heads. But what about the art of stalling? Just as much of a reaction (and often more) with less of the physical risk. Don't get me wrong, this man can wrestle, absolutely. Infact he was way ahead of his time in many ways. But my fond memories are of watching him spend the first 5 minutes of matches cartwheeling and prancing around, generally working people up to the point that they wanted to see him get his comeuppance. Which he always did. Factor in that he's also an excellent talker can be alligned with other wrestlers as a mouthpiece having been a manager, plus the fact I'm based in Florida AND I've got a natural feud for him with the guy who impersonates his brother... this pick is nothing short of genius. Infact, it's THE GENIUS

To answer my own question, I've got into online poker recently. And make the ocassional bet. Put betting wise, I've only ever used free bets I've been offered or gone as high as 10p for actual bets. And I'm equally as cautious about putting money on the poker because I'm still a bit of a novice. I did win 9p today though so that was good. So, yes, but only pussy bets. And as LOTC brought up, gambles in life, no. I'm a very play it safe person, far too much so.
