Mainly because I've had the promo written and ready to use for the past month and my edit job (I did edit out a bunch of English chants, but pretty much left the cheers for some reason) when I realise we were in the Ukraine was...well, lazy. Or, in kayfabe, there were subtitles provided on the big-screen or something.
-
Well, unless you really want to help out, it's not going to be any hassle for me to handle it.
-
*insert obligatory "I'd hit it" joke here* Wow. That's pretty hideous.
-
If my modship gave me any actual power, I'd gladly update. But apparantly, I can't do anything for some reason.
-
I didn't realise that was single-handedly the fault of Bradshaw. Silly me.
-
Don't worry 'Drea. It'd actually do me better, character wise, not to have a legit match on this show...so if you're definately not able to show, I'll write something to make sure you don't get jobbed out.
-
Dunno until NYU responds to my prospective plans.
-
Ah, we might have a problem there.
-
^ True. In context, 300,000 would be big numbers for an ECW PPV.
-
Meh. Unless Tom turns out to be the father, it won't draw. ... Hmmm...
-
Way low? Please. 300,000 range is MUCH more accurate than 800,000 range. That's a good percent above anything the real ECW ever achieved, so they should be thankful if they got as many as was reported. I'd wager this number is far from 'way off' when the confirmed number comes through.
-
I guess it's true. Nobody watches Smackdown anymore. Funniest part of the report.
-
Unless somebody broke the matches/segments up with a line, preferably in color, it'd look exactly like you said...a big block. If it helps, I'll soon be doing lots of promo featuring a woman, so maybe that'll pop the ratings. Toxxic: "Not bloody likely". Then again, I personally don't see why we should have to change our style to fit in with other feds, when we are clearly different from every single one of them. The problem isn't that we're unoriginal. It's that we're 'too original'. Our shows are completely different to every single show put up. The low rating is probably because are matches are too long for whoever's giving ratings to read through without losing his attention span. Maybe it's because I've never seen the benefit of this X-Net place...but I don't see the point in us changing how we do things to fit in with a fed-list that we won't fit in with, unless we become an RP fed like every other.
-
That's the one thing I really suffered with when writing the Slay Ride match. A lot of stuff got left on the proverbial cutting room floor, because I thought it was either too heelish for Toxxic or too 'nice' in context of the match and the feud.
-
Well, BIG ups first off to PFL on the Women's Match. The indy mark in me was drooling pretty much the entire way through, again. Very good stuff. I actually thought up the Canadian Destroyer DDT a while back for SWF stuff, but didn't know if it'd work (or look too much like a Northern Lights)...does anyone actually use that on the indies? Also, Tony has Cornette written so spot-on. Great promo and a decent match to follow up. We really need to stop feeding all these WWE/ex-WWE guys to Axel. Matt Hardy. Batista. Theodore Long. Not to mention Austin and Hall fed to Hoff (I think). BTW Adam...doesn't that 'Props' post at the end kinda give away the identity of the mystery "soon to return"ee?
-
Maybe I read Hoff's post wrong, so dis-regard if so...but if Ultimate X is at AngleSlam, Rodez and Wright are unavailable. Feel free to use Black though PK.
-
Actually, nothing from me I'm afraid.
-
Right, I'll bear that in mind. If NYU's okay with this, I wouldn't mind having it dealt with next week and the week after.
-
Buffer (Michael) only did WCW main events though, so he had 'big-match' protection. And got to make 3 minute intros. The rest of the time it was David "can somebody please turn my microphone up" Penzer.
-
Fuck, them. I think it's clear what we need- Thoth back on the booking team.
-
BTW, I can write all of the segments if it'd help you guys out.
-
That suits me. You could build Stevens/Knight, I could build Wright/Rodez...maybe mix them in closer to L2P. Providing TNA don't sue us in the meantime. If they do, we'll just rename it Pinnacle X.
-
L2P is the next PPV, right? See, I need to hold off on my 'big' match until AngleSlam. And if not, then I wanted to write an Ultimate X Match during my title reign but never got around to it. You could have Dude get injured, vacate the title. Then make it PK (last challenger) vs. Leon Rodez (previous champion) vs. Christian Wright (to build Rodez/Wright) vs. one other heel. Jay Richards or Chris Stevens would make sense, but anyone available could fit in the role.

OAO WWE released talent/staff thread
King Cucaracha replied to MikeJordan23's topic in The WWE Folder
I'm guessing you don't have control of hiring and firing where you work then, otherwise you'd be familiar with the term 'lawsuit'. I could think of plenty of exceptions. Big Show. Batista. Undertaker. Kane. Heidenreich (finally getting over). Snitsky (come on, you can't fire Snitsky). Matt Morgan (proved himself in OVW, making the best of a terrible gimmick). Viscera (over with the crowd). I'm sure I'm missing some others.
