How hyped are yall for WM21?

While Rudo's idea would be interesting, Angle vs. Michaels really doesn't need that sort of storyline. Just the Angle/Michaels match itself is enough to interest the majority of people, because it's a first time match between two wrestlers are considered top line talent. A storyline that might be best saved for Michaels' next feud, which might need that storyline more. As for Mania...it sounds clichéd and smarky, but I actually didn't realise it was so few days away until watching Raw. It really doesn't have the Wrestlemania aura around it like recent years. X8 had Hogan/Rock. XIX had a stacked topline. XX had the special date. XXI really doesn't have anything really special.

    PROMO: A Pubic Service Announcement

We knew that already, but how does it relate to the OAOAST? KC, explain yourself! Some of CHIKARA's workers include The Bear (which is a guy in a bear costume), Wonderman (you know, like Wonderwoman, but...you know), Jolly Roger (a pirate) and on one show they had Ken The Box (that Japanese guy who's...well, a box). It's basically a half serious/half comedy lucha fed. In America. The OAOAST has the 70's Dude, The Love Doctors, a retired pornstar (wtf's up with that one?), Carl Winslow, Chicks Over Dicks and the GPX. You do the math.

    Who said it?

Ric Flair? "These guys are young and hungry. Well...except Kronic."

    PROMO: A Pubic Service Announcement

You realise Carl Winslow works for the OAOAST now Supes? Seriously, that place gets more like CHIKARA every week. In other news, this is typically awesome stuff.

    X-Net Icon

*shows off DA GUNS~!* I doubt Toxx'll do a second attempt (although if he does and adds in some more talkage, he'll be in like a shot methinks), so I guess I'll be representin'. So long as I get another 'yes' vote that is.

    The World's Funniest Joke

When I heard it, I laughed. Did you get it (the bit about BA being British Airways), or just not find it funny?

    John Cena copying Jadakiss...

And here was me thinking he stole Ah-HA from ABBA. What's the deal with the hand-signal anyway? "You Can't See Me?" I can CLEARLY see him! Does he think waving his hand in front of his face makes him magically invisible or something? [/anglesault mode] But not as pure. Ah-HA!

    Lockdown predictions~!

The Main Event Fatal Fourway Match Wildchild vs. "The Urban Legend" Todd Cortez vs. "The Critic" Scott Pretzler vs. Toxxic - Pretzler to pull off the upset. World Heavyweight Championship #1 Contender's Match Pure Wrestling Rules "Hollywood" Spike Jenkins vs. "The Franchise" Mak Francis Special Guest Referee: Tom Flesher - Since I'm guessing Tom won't be writing, I'll plump for Spike to get the win a second time. SWF Belt Tournament - Championship Match Johnny Dangerous vs. Jay Hawke - Either way, it'll be a great match. Johnny's got the edge on paper though, so I'll go with him. Magical Mystery Match Austin Sly vs. ??? - Triple ? methinks. Hey, maybe this'll be the guy who did those mysterious promos at the beginning of the year and then suddenly dissappeared. WTF was up with that anyway? Non-Title Match Insane Luchadore vs. Mohammed Koran - Koran, because IL isn't the most conistant of fellows. Opening Bout JJ Johnson vs. Ced Ordonez - You can call him Jay...or you can call him Jay. *shudders*. So, yeah, this kid looks to know what the deal is. Obviously it's a jobber squash, but that irregardless.

    Lockdown Card 03-30-05

Thanks for not booking me man. Hopefully though, I'll have time to bust out the opening promo, if that's cool.

    SWF Storm Card, 3-25-05!

Nothing from me again. Apologies, but I'm having to wait until after Easter to get the laptop sorted. And I've had hardly any prolonged time on the computer itself...so, 138 days and out I guess.

    BOOKING FOR THE 3/31/SHOW

I'll handle the PPV preview again. Also, depending on how much time I get, the following are possible - Rodez vs. Romero, LIVE on tape delay (!?!) from HI-YAH. - Some hype for the Joy Of X. - The debut of another wacky new tag team.

    SWF Minis!

Fuck. Yeah. I knew Pretzler rocked from the moment he named-dropped me in a promo. This just confirms it.

    IWA: MS tommorrow night

Looks like a pretty strong card to me. The one thing that bothers me is Whitmer vs. Daniels. I understand why they're against each other (again), as they'll probably both be in War Games in May...and at least they've got a stip that they haven't done yet. But I've never shared Ian's faith in Whitmer. He does nothing for me and never has.

    WWF/E Tidbits from the past

I read somewhere that WWE had thought over using Molly/Mona in Ivory's RTC role before she debuted as Molly. Any truth?

The Rockers or Rock n' Roll Express?

Even having grown up on the WWF, the Rock and Rolls (from what NWA I've seen) were at their peak the best tag team going. Morton made the hot tag his own and that's probably the most crucial part of being a successful, face tag team. The Rockers were better at the tag team moves, but The Rock n Rolls were better at tag team wrestling. Individually, it's a different story.
  16. I got nights 1 and 2 in the post this morning. First CHIKARA shows I've bought, so hopefully it'll be a good introduction (as an IWA fan) to the company.

Predict the 2006 WWE Hall of Fame class

Ric Flair (I think it'll be 'his' year, ala Hogan.) Arn Anderson JJ Dillon Ricky Steamboat Road Warriors Sting (longshot maybe) Ted DiBiase Ray Traylor EDIT: Obviously, this'd be a 'Flair' list like this year's is Hogan. So you could probably swap Traylor for Hennig, which would make more sense.

    Why all the Orton hate?

Batista and HHH had a slow build. I still say that HHH played a considerable part in getting Batista over. He made him look a threat week in and week out for a good period of time, in more ways than just saying 'You are the future'. Whever Orton would have been Batista over with a slow build instead of being jobbed out in under a month...doubtful. But he'd certainly be better off than he is now.

    English Football

So, Heskey and Rooney start then? That's what I see happening. Owen is fresh apart from a few benchsores, but do you waste a fresh Owen on a Northern Ireland team we're expected to beat anyway? Or do you throw Heskey in against a weak opposition? If Heskey scores, the critics are silenced. And of all the teams in the group, who is Heskey most likely to score against? Northern Ireland. I'm not a Heskey fan, but logically, I can see a case for him starting. So, my starting team would be... Robinson Bridge Ferdinand Terry G.Neville Cole Lampard Gerrard Beckham Heskey Rooney

The latest twist in the Schiavo case.......

As much as starving her isn't 'torture' technically, because of her vegative state, it still doesn't seem right somehow. I don't know why, because the more I look at it, the more it seems like they're just letting nature take it's course. But still...something bothers me about the thought of actively letting any living person starve to death, even if they can't feel the effects. Other than that...I don't know. As much as I feel she shouldn't be allowed to die despite lack of evidence that those were her wishes, I also don't see the actual merits of prolonging her life. What bothers me atm though, is that her estranged husband is the one to make the choice. I understand the laws of marraige and so on. But it seems suspect that the husband is the one who can make the choice simply because he put a ring on her finger a few years ago...and despite the fact that he's been seperated from her for years, he has more power than the person who gave birth to Terri. Seems ass backwards to me.

    ROH/WWE Talent agreement made

Wait, ROH working with WWE? Pure wrestling working with sports entertainment. I thought ROH DOESN'T DO SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT~! (Apart from Special K, The Christopher Street Connection, the 'fan run-ins' at Unscripted, Low Ki pretending to take an E tablet and booking a worked fan riot of course.) Still, if it means letting Jimmy Rave go to the WWE and job to Chris Masters while he's in the middle of a push, who's to argue with ROH if they're really working with the WWE? And hey, if it means the WWE (reportedly) sending out feelers to CM Punk and Joe and possibly taking away ROH's two drawing cards, who's to argue? I mean, they get to use Stevie Richards. That's GOT to be a good deal.

    Why all the Orton hate?

I agree with above. Except for 'great charisma', which he clearly hasn't. I've always been a fan of heel Orton. His in-ring work is up to the standards the WWE wants for the top liners. He's had good matches on a pretty regular basis. And that's not just with Benoit, Jericho and others who can 'make him look good' as others say. He's had good matches with RVD, Shelton, Edge, HBK, Foley (albeit overrated. But then again, so was Angle/Marty), HHH (the match they had on Raw was very good, the Rumble match was better), Flair, Batista, Val Venis. He can work, to WWE standards. The pose is better as a heel. He forces it WAY too much as a face. Still, the hate for that and his theme music always comes off as 'oh, look, another possible reason to hate Orton' from most people. But, even as a fan, I'll admit...he's missing that 'x factor' that'll take him from 'decent worker' to 'money star'. And that's the crucial thing that goes against him.

    SWF Storm Card, 3-25-05!

A little from column A and a little from column B. But mainly A. In which case, I look forward to seeing you in the finals of Xnet Icon, where you can pick the situation for the final roleplay, no-show, and I will job you to a haiku. ...sunshine. I look forward to it. I think.

    SWF Storm Predictions

MAIN EVENT NON-TITLE MATCH Toxxic (SWF World Heavyweight Champion) v. Wildchild -> Wildchild. Seriously, because I think as much as his style suits Toxxic, WC is good enough to win. Hell, he's good enough to be World Champion, if he'd wanted to be. Now, if it was a PPV match...different story. SWF BELT TOURNAMENT SEMIFINALS SWF INTERCONTINENTAL-TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP Landon "La Cucaracha" Maddix (SWF Intercontinental-Television Champion) v. Johnny Dangerous -> Me, most definitely. It's unlikely that Johnny will win. But seriously, even Stryke predicted me. And Stryke hardly ever predicts me. Ever. In all seriousness though, if I win this, then I'll get the 'longest title reign ever' from ELM. If not, I'm tied for 2nd with Wildchild. So, yeah, I'll be going all out. Take that as you like. SWF BELT TOURNAMENT SEMIFINALS SWF UNITED STATES-JUNIOR LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP Austin Sly (SWF United States-Junior League Champion) v. Jay Hawke -> Hawkester wins. HOUSE RULES MATCH SPACE BASE BRAWL SWF HARDCORE CHAMPIONSHIP Insane Luchadore (SWF Hardcore Champion) v. Arch Griffon -> Griffon takes the belt in his talons and flies away with shiny gold. Unless IL goes old school on him. OPENING MATCH Manson v. "The Tigris Express" Mohammed Koran -> MANSON-O-CITY RUNS WILD~!

Big Show? Damn, I remember this one, but I'm not sure who said it. Hawk of LOD springs to mind.
