Exactly. Orton lost clean. Batista won the Rumble. No way Orton gets a title shot at Mania. It wouldn't make any sense. Orton is there, because they need someone to play the third wheel. You have Batista vs. HHH, Evo vs. Evo. Either they do the triple threat and keep Orton in the 'do the right thing Batista' role, or they simply turn Batista officially pre-Mania. Id' be very surprised if they went into Mania with a 'will Batista fight HHH' storyline still going, UNLESS they had Orton. Otherwise, they're selling Mania on a match that 'might not happen'.

I've gotta say, I'm surprised, but it was a very good Rumble. Especially considering Patterson wasn't booking it, I kinda went in thinking it had the possibility of sucking. I don't know if it was a 'better' Rumble than last year, but it was a lot more fun. Which is something WWE's been missing recently. All the way through the match you kinda knew what would happen at points (everyone ganging up on Hassan, Raw/SD showdown, WGTT reunion, HBK/Angle, Batista/Flair, Cena/Batista), but it was still enjoyable because the WWE have had a tendancy of teasing things and not going through with them in recent months. The Rumble pretty much delivered. Especially on HBK/Angle. And I'm not Mr Workrate, but damn, I loved how they had all the smark favourites in early and at the same time. Plus they got considerable time. Made for some nice exchanges. London's elimination was unbelievably sick. The only thing that bothered me was that there were TOO MANY DAMN CHOPS! Benoit was especially guilty. And then, they ALMOST blew it all with re-doing the tired, double winner angle. AGAIN. Hell, they only used it three months ago. Re-starting the match got pop of the night from me though and by re-starting the match instead of leaving it with two winners, they saved the entire show. Cena can still claim the title shot because of the controversy, no harm done, he doesn't come out looking bad from it. I really liked the Raw/SD interaction in the segments, JBL's mocking of Long and that Eugene WM commercial was awesome. The undercard was a lot better than last year too. Although all the four matches seemed to go a little long, but I wouldn't say any of them were particularly bad, the way that last year's line-up was a total disappointment. First PPV I've not fell asleep during (damn time difference) in months. And, they did what was needed. Set up for Mania. Thumbs up from me.

SWF Storm Card, 2-4-05!
King Cucaracha replied to Chuck Woolery's topic in Smarks Wrestling Federation
Hey, I didn't botch anything, pal! It's not my fault the board can only send about 10k at a time and that I'm too lazy to check how much got sent before I go to bed. Well, I guess that is my fault. -
Big ups to Papacita for writing the glut of the 4-Way, sending it to me to finish and allowing me to be credited with writing at the end while he got zilch in writing credit. Big ups. In all seriousnes though, great job to Papa on the 4 Way and from what I read, good job to prety much everyone. A stellar way to start the year.

IWA-MS Anything Goes 2K5 Review, 1/15/05

Hmm. Aren't the Highland shows supposed to be the bigger shows though? The crowd for Rumble In Rensellaer wasn't great either. -

I got this yesterday from SMV-UK. Will be watching tommorrow when I've free time, so I'll see if I agree with you. But hopefully, the strong crowd can be creditted to fans seeing the recent money troubles and trying to get behind the company. Cause that's what they need now. The shows are still good quality, they just need the fans to pay to see them. -
I understood that. I don't see how honesty in that regard translates to "honesty" in giving a storyline reason why someone is out of action. Maybe he was thinking of ROH's 'staging a riot and passing it off as real' past?

They shouldn't use a real name because the real name PPVs would give the impression that they're continuing on from ECW. They're not. They're putting on ONE show, for one night. Hence they need a title that'll reflect that, to stop people thinking "WOW, ECW IS BACK1!!1!" And in the circumstances (Taboo Tuesday), it could have been a lot worse than One Night Stand. I like it actually.

SWF Clusterfuck Card!
King Cucaracha replied to Chuck Woolery's topic in Smarks Wrestling Federation
I took issue with you totally misrepresenting my character in our World Title match. I was thinking more of Spike really. (I think he wants to win) I believe ya. After all, you're Muzz man. Hell, god knows I'd be on here bitching tommorrow morning if that was the case, and I'm just a relative newbie. -
SWF Clusterfuck Card!
King Cucaracha replied to Chuck Woolery's topic in Smarks Wrestling Federation
Turns out my OAOAST stuff got to me late, so I've been able to cut my finished match down to 15.5k. So, drama over, I guess I'll be showing after all. Otherwise I wouldn't have done because lord knows if I won with a match 1k over limit, SOMEBODY would have taken issue. -
Scandal rocks the X-Division!

SWF Clusterfuck Card!
King Cucaracha replied to Chuck Woolery's topic in Smarks Wrestling Federation
Well, I'm on 14.5k and have 6 men left. In other words, don't expect anything from me. I'm not going to magically cut the 3k I need to do the rest of the match justice. Plus I've got an OAOAST match to finish off which has somehow become top priority over my SWF stuff for the first time I can remember. And I've been waiting for the 'Fuck for months, so obviously I haven't got the heart atm, which sucks because I actually enjoyed it up until now. I'm not going to bitch about the word limit, but I'll just say I knew it'd be a problem for me, which is why I questioned it in the first place. And sure enough, I'm no showing. Feel free to Bushwhacker Luke me guys. You may not be seeing Maddix around for long anyway. -
Well, they could have called him Exam, but it doesn't have the impact since the firing spree.

SWF- Home of King Cucaracha and some staggeringly long wrestling matches. OAOAST- ...King Cucaracha's weekend vacation spot.

Huggable.

Screw the in-ring stuff. Screw the 5 minute promos. Screw whever he 'panders to the crowd' or not. Can he convince the casual fan to start watching Raw again? Because that's what they need. That should be the only arguement. Is Batista that guy? He's the closest they've come in some time, that's all I'll say.

SWF Clusterfuck Card!
King Cucaracha replied to Chuck Woolery's topic in Smarks Wrestling Federation
On the same subject, I'm guessing they won't know Bloodshed, Grappler, Strangler and Ced are entered... -
I thought he beat London. Or, was that Suzuki? Anyway, looks a decent enough show, might catch it because I enjoyed the last JBL/Angle match (sans crappy ending).

SWF Clusterfuck Card!
King Cucaracha replied to Chuck Woolery's topic in Smarks Wrestling Federation
I'm okay on stats for everyone except Strangler. Grappler I'm old enough to remember (Resthold, resthold, resthold.) But Strangler I need stats or at the very least a basic recap for...so no doubt, guys like Max and Sly will too. -
Booker's corner sunset flip was always credited as a Brisco move by JR. And of course, the Anderson spinebuster for HHH and Batista (even thought B's is executedly differently)
-
People still call Orton's push a 'mega-push'? Wow. You would have thought after he got the HHH treatment and got a ONE MONTH reign with the World Title, people would realise that the 'push' sucked and Orton got cut off at the knees by being turned face, hotshotted the belt and then fed to HHH. Especially considering people still bring up RVD, Booker etc. Only difference here is that Orton got a short time with the belt. Batista? If they play him like a modern-day Goldberg (hiding his weaknesses, but obviously not squashing the entire roster) or if they give him the Austin-style tweener role, he has a good chance of making it. That just need to find that one selling point that'll put him over the top. Although RRR makes some good points, with the right booking, those can be disguised to a decent level. He's capable in promos, if not excellent. Capable in the ring, if not on the levels of Benoits, Jerichos and such. He can succeed. They just need to be careful. And keep him from getting the HHH treatment. Then again, who knows. Remember the many valid reasons against Brock getting a push back in the day? He proved people wrong. So, I'll hold my judgement.

That explains a lot. Eh, don't worry about me guys, I'm just cranky from not getting any sleep for the past three days. So, is this a full-time comeback Supes?
