Wow. READ THIS SHOW! Toxx, the end was dog-gone awesome. Much kudos for that. Also, obvious props go to the winners...two in particular, but all the winners. Even Sacred. One hell of a way to start the year guys.

I just walked two miles, smoking the whole time.
King Cucaracha replied to Giuseppe Zangara's topic in No Holds Barred
Guys, he walked 2 miles. He clearly did it for the exercise. -
Silvervision have an offer on, with 2004 DVDs on offer. Wrestlemania 2004 is just £5.99 which is an awesome price. All other events are £5.99, except that NWO is just £3.99. Any way you cut it, if you don't have Eddie's DVD, Lesnar/Eddie is worth £3.99 to have in your collection.

Yeah, for a Shotgun jobber. Calls himself the Fallen Angel apparantly... The guy we're talking about certainly isn't good.

"...and welcome back to Lockdown!" *PPPPFFFTTT!* Suddenly, the buzzing of screen static interrupts any plans King and Pete had for discussion. The Manchester crowd rise to their feet, booing wildly already, as from in the ring Maddix watches on intently. “There is nothing wrong with your television set.” Andrew Blackwell's voice cuts in, causing the boos to go up a notch. “Do not attempt to adjust the picture.” "Here we go..." King says, salivating at the thought of Maddix getting destroyed. "Some may say Sacred has been a little jaded since his return..." “We will control the horizontal.” "...but the events of recent weeks have no doubt brought some of the 'old', more downright intimidating Sacred back..." “We will control the vertical.” "...which is exactly the Sacred that can become World Champion." “We are controlling transmission….” Finally the picture returns to normal, just as the lights begin to dim and "Tainted" by Lycia begins to play through the P.A system. Jumping from foot to foot in an attempt to get loosened up, Maddix tries to listen to the words of his valet Megan, over the rampant boos and Sacred's music. Meanwhile, back up on the rampway, Sacred has emerged. As the spotlights hit him, Sacred begins to walk down the aisle, hearing the crowd's reaction, the boos greeting him like an old friend. "Ladies and gentlemen, this is the Seven Minute Challenge...with...a seven minute time-limit. Obviously. In this match, if Sacred can last seven minutes without being beaten, he will recieve a World Title shot. If he can win, he will get to choose a stipulation for that match. But should he lose, he will get no title shot. Introducing at this time...representing Revolution Zero! From Adelaide, Australia...he weighs two hundred and sixteen pounds. This...is... SAAAAACCRRRREEEDD!!!" "BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" Rolling into the ring, Sacred starts to pull himself up... "And, currently in the ring. He represe...WOAH!" ...as Maddix suddenly bursts past Funyon and slams his boot into the rising Sacred's head, getting the jump on his opponent! Quickly as he possibly can, Sexton Hardcastle gets Maddix's belts and Megan Skye out of the ring. *DING DING DING!* Before calling for the bell. And as soon as the bell sounds, a timer appears on the SmarkTron, set at 7:00 but already ticking down the second as Maddix continues to stomp away on Sacred. Not having reached his feet yet, Sacred has been hit by at least seven or eight kicks and seeing no let-up, decides to roll back out of the ring to give himself a chance to get his head together. "And straight away, we see the cheating tactics of the 'champ'." King grumbles. "Maddix has got to come out like this King. Sacred doesn't have to win in seven minutes, Maddix does. So Maddix has to try and wrestle a quick pace." As soon as Sacred rolls outside, referee Hardcastle moves in and gets Maddix to retreat. Sacred crouches on the floor and grimaces as he cracks his neck, in no hurry to get back in...and no reason to be in a hurry. "ONE!" Hardcastle begins to put a count on from in the ring. But as his attention turns, Maddix qucikly slides out of the ring and goes after Sacred...who's waiting with a quick boot to the gut, before slamming a forearm between Maddix's shoulder blades. And again. Maddix shoves Sacred away weakly, but the Aussie is quick to boot Maddix again. As Maddix doubles over, Sacred follows up by slamming a forearm across Maddix's jaw. "TWO!" And a second forearm. But again, Maddix pushes the aggressive Sacred off, so Sacred quickly grabs the World Champion around the back of the head and hurls him face-first into the ring apron! As Maddix bounces back and staggers past him, Sacred coolly casts a glare up at Hardcastle, letting him know he doesn't care about any count. Slumped up against the railings, Maddix is wide open for another boot from Sacred. Following it up, Sacred smashes Maddix in the jaw with another stiff, methodical forearm. "THREE!" As the count goes on, Sacred lines up Maddix again on the railings... ...but Maddix ducks a right-handed forearm, causing Sacred to whip himself into the railings instead, before hurriedly grabbing Sacred and bundling him back into the ring. Maddix then follows, backing himself into the centre of the ring and beckoning the Revolution member up. With anger covering his face, Sacred pulls himself to his feet and turns around with a forearm wielded. But Maddix is waiting with a forearm of his own, beating Sacred to the 'punch'. A second forearm from Maddix is blocked by Sacred's raised arms though, allowing him to hook on a side headlock and take Maddix to the ground in the hold. "Smart move." approves King. "Sacred, looking to dictate the pace here." Trapped on the canvas is not the position Maddix wants to be in, with a good half a minute already gone in the match. From the outside, Megan Skye reminds Maddix that time is against him, as Sacred forces Maddix's shoulders to the canvas in the headlock... ONE! T... Maddix lifts up his legs, wrapping them around Sacred's neck. Releasing the headlock, Sacred rolls onto all fours with his head trapped between Maddix's knees. But any thoughts he has of trying to escape are pointless as Maddix releases the hold moments after breaking the headlock, spinning on his rear like some sort of break-dancer, stopping beside Sacred and tumbling over him. Sacred blocks the Oklahoma roll attempt though, pressing Maddix's shoudlers down again... ONE! T... Again Landon is out quickly, but his veteran opponent has him in a rear chinlock just as quickly. "DAMN IT!" Cursing to all that can hear him, Maddix rolls to a seated position. Sacred releases the rear chinlock and instead grabs hold of Maddix's wrists, pulling the World Champion's arms towards his back, whilst digging in a knee between the shoulder blades for more leverage. "Well, I guess Sacred isn't overly concerned with any stipulation...he may simply stretch this kid out for seven minutes." "May? No no, he will." King corrects Doggah. "Maddix isn't the most technically gifted wrestler against the spottiest of spot monkeys. But against Sacred? Phff, forget about it." With a growl of anger, Sacred wrenches back with the hold once more. "Yeah, but is Sacred content with biding his time?" Pete questions. "You said it yourself, recent weeks have brought out the bitterness in Sacred and you KNOW he's pissed off with Maddix in particular." And Pete's thoughts seem to be right, as Sacred briefly releases one of of Maddix's arms to slam a forearm strike into the back of Maddix's neck, then grabbing the arm back once more. Hardcastle is right there to check for a submission, but Maddix won't give. Pushing to one knee, Maddix starts to try and turn to the right slightly, as he reaches his second knee. The clock lies behind Maddix now as he stops on his knees, unable to turn any further. Suddenly, Sacred releases the surfboard and hooks his arms over Maddix's now, pulling them back into a double chickenwing! "MAD - DIX! MAD - DIX! MAD - DIX!" The fans need no further encouragement as Sacred has Maddix ready for the Narcosynthesis, rallying behind the champ. Fear on his face, Maddix quickly stands up to lessen Sacred's leverage. Sacred hangs on though, trying to force Maddix down. "MAD - DIX! MAD - DIX! MAD - DIX!" A minute and a half gone, the second may not pass if Sacred can force Landon down. But Maddix is unwilling to go and fights towards the ropes, Sacred digging in and keeping Maddix's out-stretched foot far away from the ropes. Only for the foot to suddenly snap backwards, connecting with Sacred's kneecap! Growling, Sacred tightens up the chickenwings...but Maddix starts to slam kick after kick into Sacred's knee desperately, looking for an escape which eventually comes as Sacred pushes Maddix off. Grabbing his knee, Sacred forgets about Maddix for a moment seemingly, as his opponent runs forward and hits the ropes. But as he comes back, Sacred is waiting, leaping into the air and connecting with Landon's jaw with a leg lariat. The dazed champion slumps to the mat, as Sacred ignores his throbbing knee to make a cover... ONE! TWO! Kickout. No sooner has Maddix kicked out though, than Sacred pulls Maddix's arm behind his head and applies an 'anaconda vice' submission hold. Luckily for Maddix, he's no close enough to the ropes to stretch a foot out for an escape. "BREAK IT SACRED... ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR!" Sacred casually breaks the hold and gets back to his feet. Allowing Maddix up, Sacred lines up the World Champion and smashes him with another unforgiving forearm...sweet and simple. Predictably, Maddix fires up and comes back with a responce, but Sacred catches the arm and pulls Maddix down into an armbar. On his knees, arm trapped, Maddix uses his free arm to scan Sacred's body, looking for an escape...time continually ticking away. Eventually, Maddix decides to roll forwards to alieviate the pressure. Sacred comes up with Maddix though, pulling the arm into the body...and dropping back, divorce courting the arm! "Divorce court King." "A what?" "Divorce court. It doesn't just seperate the arm, it divorces it. It's...one of those new fangled, U.S strong style dealies." "Why can't they call it an single arm DDT?" As Maddix howls in pain and grabs at his arm, Sacred takes his time over getting back to his feet. Looking back at the clock, Sacred smiles. 4:46. Time enough to stomp Maddix in the shoulder as he gets up. Still Maddix is getting up though, as Sacred casually steps in... *SLAP!* "WHOOOOOOO!" ...and gets chopped! But Maddix makes the mistake of habitually using his right arm for the chop, ending up worse off than Sacred. As he shakes it off, Sacred grabs Maddix's arm and wrings it around into a hammerlock. Maddix hooks his free arm behind Sacred's head and pulls it towards his, gritting his teeth... *thunk!* ...as he headbutts Sacred! "Ugh." groans Pete. Both men's eyes cross slightly from the collision of heads, but Sacred shakes off the impact first and wrenches in the hammerlock again. This time though, Maddix fires back an elbow. His brains scrambled, Sacred wrenches again subconsciously...as a second elbow rocks him. And a third! Finally, Sacred releases after a fourth elbow... *SLAP!* "WHOOOOOOO!" ...and gets chopped, with the left hand this time. But Maddix cannot win with chops alone, as he well knows, so lands a boot to the gut of Sacred before spiking him hurriedly with a DDT! Sacred's head bounces off the mat, as he's quickly pushed onto his back for the pin... ONE! TW... Nope. "I know there's a short time-limit on this...but Maddix couldn't have thought a DDT would finish Sacred, surely?" King chuckles. Maddix is quickly back to his feet and with the proverbial sand-timer running slowly empty, Maddix goes for broke and climbs to the middle rope! The crowd know what's coming and quickly rise to their feet in anticipation, of a Crash Landon. But Sacred anticipates too and slams two fists into Maddix's breadbasket before being grabbed by the arm. Maddix almost topples to the floor, but is soon pulled back by Sacred, armdragged off the ropes and across the ring. Rolling through impact, Maddix shakes off his arm as Sacred comes in with forearm ready...only for a kick to the kneecap to stop him. Sacred drops to that knee from the kick's force, as Maddix backs up... ...but Sacred ducks the shining wizard! "OOOOOOOOHHHHHHHH!" Maddix stops short of the ropes and turns around, Sacred waiting with a go behind into a waistlock, trapping the champ's weak arm in the waistlock. Close to the ropes, Maddix lands a foot on the middle... "ONE! TWO! THREE! FO..." Sacred breaks, pushing Maddix into the ropes and clubbing him in the back. Again! But Hardcastle moves Sacred away, giving Landon respite briefly...until Sacred pushes Hardcastle aside and charges towards his opponent. But Maddix sees Sacred coming out of the corner of his eye, using the bottom rope to help him leapfrog back over Sacred...and land with a dragon sleeper locked on Sacred! "YEEEEEEAAAAAAA..." ...but that doesn't last long, as Sacred uses Maddix's weak arm to spin out, hammerlocking it behind Landon's back again and forcing him down to his knees once more. "BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!" "The fans sure don't like Sacred's tactics it seems..." points out Pete. "These people wouldn't know smart wrestling if it came to their mud-hut and slapped them around their inbread faces!" "Not bitter are we King?" Taking the easy (and importantly, quick) way out, Maddix grabs the ropes with his left hand to break. Sacred doesn't need a count this time, as he breaks instantly, pulling Maddix by his blonde locks into the centre of the ring and grabbing the arm again. Another arm wringer weakenes the arm. 3:53 left. Sacred doesn't go for the hammerlock this time though, instead lifting the champion up over his shoulder, hovering him over the turnbuckles. Maddix tries to wriggle free, but can't as Sacred turns around before teetering Maddix's head canvas-wards...and drops Maddix down with a methodical shoulder breaker! *AAAAAAAHHHHHH!* Screaming in pain, Maddix clutches his shoulder as Sacred lays his body weight over Maddix's good arm in making a cover... ONE! TWO! Kickout. "I don't know why Sacred went for a cover there King." Pete muses. "An armbar would have bought him at least another twenty seconds." "And going to the outside would have bought him even more. But, maybe Sacred has a stipulation in mind that, should he get the chance, he'd like to apply." Maddix pulls himself up on the ropes as an irish whip from Sacred sends him across the ring. As Sacred waits though, he leaves his legs open far enough for Maddix to baseball slide through, pulling Sacred over into a roll-up as best possible... ONE! MADDIX HAS THE TIGHTS! TWO! NO! As he gets up, Maddix shakes off the arm as Sacred begins to complain of the pull of the tights, but thinks better of it...as he turns around into a Dropsault! "Some crafty tactics shown by Landon there...desperate men do desperate things I guess." chuckles Pete. "Maddix is no man. He's a born cheater." "Which would be a good thing to someone like you, surely?" "Call the match Pete..." "Okay then. Maddix hitting a dropsault there but he can't follow up, as he broke his landing with his arms instinctively and landed on his bad arm." As Sacred pulls himself back up, Maddix is right behind him...literally as he kicks Sacred in the back of the knee. Maddix then reaches up and tries for another dragon sleeper from which to apply the Land Of Nod, but Sacred turns into Maddix's body and charges him into the corner. The wind drives out of Maddix's body as Sacred slams in a shoulder...and a second...a third too, before backing off. Sacred then slams in a forearm on Maddix's chest area which further takes away Landon's breath, allowing Sacred to wring Maddix's arm again. 3:24 to go. Hooking on an armbar, Sacred forces Maddix down to his knees once more...and holds. And holds. Before holding some more... ...until Maddix starts to fight to his feet. "THREE MINUTES LEFT IN THE MATCH...THREE MINUTES!" The announcement suddenly prompts Megan to scream renewed encouragement, as Maddix reaches his feet and tries to simply pull himself out of the armbar. But that isn't working, so again he goes for the back kick to the knee... ...which Sacred is prepared for, showing impressive speed and expected ring smarts for a 30 year old as he catches Maddix's leg before it can connect... *SMACK!* ...but Maddix connects with an enziguri to the delight of the crowd, sending Sacred rolling across the ring! Sacred is quickly up but a little wobbly as he turns around... *SLAP!* "WHOOOOOOO!" *SLAP!* "WHOOOOOOO!" *SLAP!* "WHOOOOOOO!" ...into three quick, left-handed chops from Maddix. Stopping to favour his shoulder again briefly, Maddix sees Sacred preparing to strike and goes to the knee once more, quickly hooking under Sacred and finding the strength to lift Sacred over his shoulder, before pointing hi towards the mat... ...but Sacred quickly tips the balance, lifting Maddix up instead... "Tombstone countered..." ...and dropping him down across the knee once more! "...into a shoulder breaker!" calls Pete. As Maddix hits the mat this time, Sacred suddenly has plans as he pulls Maddix up, smiling wryly as he sets Maddix up. The crowd boo away as Sacred, clearly enjoying hurting his opponent, lifts Maddix over his shoudler for the third time. And for the third time, he looks ready to shoulderbreaker his opponent. This time though, Maddix shuffles backwards off of Sacred's shoudlers with the dragon sleeper held on Sacred with his left arm, able to force Sacred onto his front quickly! "YEEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!" The crowd erupt as Sacred is in the Land Of Nod! And as the fans and Megan cheer away, Maddix is wasting no time at all in wrenching back on the hold. Two minute thirty remains in the match, two minutes thirty which Sacred is determined to hold out on...but equally determined is Maddix, as he wrenches forward and back, forward and back, applying and re-applying the pressure. "YOU GOTTA TAP!" "YOU GOTTA TAP!" "YOU GOTTA TAP!" "Sacred's trapped King! He's gotta tap!" Looking at the clock, Sacred looks decidedly shocked. 2:22... ...2:21... ...2:20... ...2:19... Time is going slower and slower by the second seemingly for Sacred, as the pain is overcoming him... *TAP TAP TAP!* "YEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!" Until it's all too much. *DING DING DING!* "Your winner of the match...LANDON "LA CUCARACHA" MADDIX!" The crowd cheer once more as Maddix releases the hold, instantly attending to his shoudler once more as Megan rolls into the ring with the title belts. Sacred in his pained, slightly woozy state meanwhile knows he had to give up, but looks far from pleased as he holds his neck. Meanwhile, Maddix exits the ring with his belts and his pride in tow. "So, it's victory for Maddix tonight!" Pete cheers. "Beating Sacred once more and in impressive time. I tell ya, that Land Of Nod is deadly King." "..." "Riiiight. Let's go to a break, shall we?"

I'll be honest. I hated the stip. The only plausible endings were the draw, or someone winning with four or five seconds left. And the latter seemed far too predictable to me. My original idea was to write a draw because to be honest, I couldn't think of a way of writing Landon to beat Sacred in under seven minutes. I actually spent a whole day trying to work out an ending that wouldn't make Sacred look weak. Couldn't really find one. So in the end I just said to hell with it, rushed through the match in an hourand a half (legit), tacked on a LON to end it and sent it in incase Muzz no-showed or sent in a rush-job. Which, thankfully he didn't.

I suggest wacky tag match shenanigans! Uhm...call me in a week maybe. --^ *BIG HINT* ^--

So, in two years time, will weone wrestling folder, one pop culture folder, one boards stuff folder, one archives folder and one hosted forums folder? Then, if wrestling become pop culture again, we can merge the pop culture and wrestling folders. And seeing as the board is a wrestling board, we merge the wrestling/pop super folder with the board stuff folder. And since archives are part of the board... Well, you get the point. And for the record, that super wrestling folder is going to be cluttered beyond belief.

Will WWE finally realize that Orton is nothing more than a failure? Wait, they dropped by .4 or a .5 and lo and behold, the entire 'disappointing' number drop is proof that Randy Orton sucks? Don't get me wrong, you may be right. But you're not basing it on any fact except that 'Orton sucks and I don't like him'. Unless, you mean that it was his fault because he was the focal point in the main event. In which case, surely, JBL was responsible for the surprisingly good Armageddon buy-rate? I'm sure you'd disagree. And how exactly was HHH/Orton high-profile? High-profile would be at least a week's hype, like Benoit/Michaels or Trish/Lita. HHH/Orton as the main event was totally interchangable with Benoit/Batista and Y2J/Edge. All only made as a quick, easy way to hype the Chamber match. Like someone else here said, call me when it's a 2 or a 5.

Rodez, Panther, Bryte and Zack will all be in Seattle. Meaning shit will likely go down.

OAOAST X-Division Championship Fatal Fourway Match Leon Rodez © vs. Chris Bryte vs. Panther vs. Zack Malibu Also, if possible this should curtain jerk, because all four guys are Rumblin' later as well.

Rudo brings up a point. Batista would work in the Goldberg/Austin mould. Have him become a tweener, because he can't trust Evolution or the anti-Evolution threesome (or foursome with HBK). Batista has the Spinebuster/Sitout Powerbomb to rival the Spear/Jackhammer, as both are getting the crowd reactions. He has better mic skills than Goldberg. All he needs is the renegade persona of an Austin, put him in some three/four on one situations where he fights valiantly but goes down. A few run-ins and demolishes to end shows. Maybe even a few Austin, chaotic acts. That way, you play to Batista's strengths and hide the weaknesses. Then when you put him in the ring, play the strengths hide the weaknesses. Just as Vince did with Austin after his injury and just as WCW did with Goldberg. Heck, just as Heyman did with a 911. If they do that, then Batista could be a big star. He has the look. Not just the 'he's big' look, but he looks a star in the suits. He's pretty marketable I'd bet. He intimidating enough to pull off the lonewolf role.

SWF Smarkdown Card, 1/10/05!
King Cucaracha replied to Ace309's topic in Smarks Wrestling Federation
I'm sure there's an interesting reason for this. *probably knows too much* And if maybe Ace or Chuck can PM me about what's going on, incase I wanted to promo for the show without screwing anything up...that'd be neat. If not, I'll just ask Clark when replying to one of his daily PMs. -
I haven't seen any CHIKARA shows yet so can only go off of the TPI 6-Man...is 'Sweet and Sour' Larry Sweeney any good? Same for Hallowicked and Chandler McClure, who I haven't seen much of yet either.
-
I guess the fans are finally wanting to see JBL lose, in the good way. I.e, they'd pay money to see it.
-
Well, I was going to ask to write part initially. But I'll likely be writing my undercard match or at the very least part of it, plus Clusterfuck is on the 30th and I'll no doubt need a LOT of time for that. So if you need someone to do part then I'll be available, but only if you're desperate. And if the last two spots don't get filled...I know they're tag wrestlers, but it'd probably help me out to put the GPX in as they're kinda Rodez's allies at the moment. If not, then no problem.

SWF Lockdown Card, 1-5-05!
King Cucaracha replied to Chuck Woolery's topic in Smarks Wrestling Federation
Got that right My new New Year's Resolution's going to be not to stay up late and rush a finish to my match when I don't feel well, but wait until the morning, because I'll likely still have time to send it. -
That was portrayed correctly, Rey outsmarted Eddie. Yes, and Batista used an exposed turnbuckle to his advantage, which you could class as out-smarting. You could also say it was Flair-esque influence. To use something to your advantage, no matter how immoral. It seems the problem wasn't so much the booking (Batista over Benoit), but the fact that either JR and King are dogging it, the people feeding them the info they need to talk about were too concerned (and rightfully so, seeing as this push could be a make or break one with Orton's push not going perfectly) about getting Batista's image right and forgetting about the match or, most likely, a combination of the two.

SWF Lockdown Card, 1-5-05!
King Cucaracha replied to Chuck Woolery's topic in Smarks Wrestling Federation
Hints don't work if people don't read them. My fault and apologies if it's a little late sending you it now, but I only just read you needed it and...well, I'm not that thoughtful I guess. -
We return to HeldDOWN, with eight men standing in the ring, ready for some clusterfuckin'! BUFFER Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is the Mid South Eight Man Elimination Match for the OAOAST X-Division Championship. Two men will start with the other six able to tag in at any time. Eliminations occur as result of pinfalls, submissions, countouts and disqualifications and the last man standing will be the X-Division Champion. Introducing the participants. First, from Windsor, Ontario Canada...weighing one hundred and thirty six pounds. SEAN... BRYANT! "BOOOOOOOOO!" BUFFER Also from Windsor, Ontario Canada. He weighs two hundred and seventeen pounds... BUFFER Weighing in at two hundred and thirteen pounds. MIKEEEEEYYY TETHEEERRRSSS!!! "YEEEAAAHHH!" BUFFER From Butte Montana and weighing two hundred and four pounds. "DEVASTATIN'"... DAAAAANNYYY... DOUGLAAAASSSS!!! "BOOOOOOOOOOOO!" BUFFER From Japan! He is the reigning HI-YAH Jr. Heavyweight Champion! YUJI... CHUUUSSSAAAAAKIII!!!" "YEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!" BUFFER Hailing from Gold Coast, Queensland Australia. He weighs one hundred and ninety five pounds. "THE LOOKS!"... SAAAAAXXOOON AAAAUUSSIIIEEE!!! "BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" BUFFER And finally, the reigning and defending OAOAST X-Division Champion of the world! From Grand Rapids, Michigan. He weighs two hundred and eight pounds. He is "SILKY SMOOTH!" LEEEEOON... RRRRROOODDEEEZZZ!!!! "YEEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!" With the eight men introduced, Michael Buffer exits the ring post-haste, whilst the eight men are now left to decide amongst them who is to start. Quickly The Bryants exit to one corner and make sure they're ready to work as a team, while Douglas exits to a corner also. Yuji and Lyne step out onto another corner and it seems Mikey is ready to start off. As is Aussie. And the champion, Rodez. COLE Well, of course, this match was supposed to be a part of Climax. Unfortunately, the bus carrying a number of the competitors in this match broke down, causing the match to be postponed. CABOOSE So what's the excuse for it being late this time. COLE ...it's not late. CABOOSE Then why does my personal organiser say today is Frida... COLE Fourth wall Boose. Fourth wall. A brief arguement is going on in the ring between Aussie Saxon and Mikey Tethers, leaving Leon to wait for an opponent. And wait. And wait some more. Until finally Rodez gives up on waiting and steps to the last remaining vacant corner... *DING DING DING* ...and the bell rings, with Saxon and Mikey apparantely unaware that they are the legal men. DOUGLAS Start the dang match, idiots! The shout from the Devatatin' One catches Saxon's attention and the Aussie quickly turns around, forearming Douglas right in the face. Mikey quickly capitalises and pushes Saxon out of the ring, before grabbing Douglas and hiptossing him over the top and into the ring. The referee has meanwhile called a tag, unbeknownest to Douglas who quickly tries to leave the ring, only to be schoolboyed back by Mikey... ONE! TWO! Douglas kicks out, rolling to his feet and coming with a clothesline at Mikey. Mikey ducks as Douglas swings a full 360, back into a forearm from Mikey...and a second...before Mikey leaps onto Douglas's thighs, attempting a monkey flip. However, Douglas catches Mikey coming and presses him off, sending Mikey crashing to the mat. Quickly Mikey rolls back to his feet, charging once more and brushing past Douglas, bouncing off the ropes and brushing past Douglas again. Danny looks a little bemused now as Mikey hits the ropes again, building up a big head of steam... ...only to get shoulder-blocked down by Douglas! "BOOOOOOOO!" The crowd boo Douglas as he drags Mikey up, scooping him effortlessly off the canvas and slamming him back down. Mikey is quick to get back up, but Douglas meets him again with a scoop and a slam. Again though, Mikey snaps right back up and walks into another scoop. This time though, Mikey floats over Douglas' head and drives him down on the way with a diving reverse DDT! COLE Wow! That'll give you a headache, daddio! Douglas senses the tide turning and quickly scrambles across the ring, reaching up to the first corner he comes to...and tags in Alex Bryant, before scurrying from the ring. Slowly The Grappler enters the ring, eyeing Mikey up like a piece of meat, ready to be cooked and eaten in some sort of bread or bun. On the outside meanwhile, Douglas is having trouble finding a corner to climb to, with Saxon Aussie still glaring at him...eventually climbing up beside Sean Bryant. In the ring, Alex Bryant drops into a readied position and beckons Mikey in. But Mikey is smarter than to try and out-wrestle Bryant, instead tagging in Yuji Chusaki! "YEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!" COLE And the crowd erupt for the HI-YAH Jr. Heavyweight Champion! Could he become a double champion here tonight on HeldDOWN~? COACH Well, yeah, if he wins. COLE ...indeed. Yuji strides confidently into the ring, grabbing the oncoming Bryant in a collar-and-elbow tie-up. Quickly he pulls Alex down into a side headlock, only for Alex to drop and roll, leaning Yuji onto his shoulders. ONE! TWO! Yuji kicks off of his shoulders, hanging onto the headlock he had applied on Alex. Pushing to his feet, Bryant fires a couple of forearms into the side of Yuji's body, weakening him up enough to push him to the ropes. Yuji hangs onto the ropes as he hits them, forcing Bryant to charge. But Yuji raises a boot, catching Bryant flush in the jaw. Away staggers Yuji, with Bryant following in and grabbing on a side headlock on the HI-YAH Jr. Heavyweight Champion. Grabbing hold of Bryant's wrist and twisting out of the headlock, Yuji applies a hammerlock on Bryant before chaining into a side headlock of his own. But Bryant quickly picks Yuji's ankle and pulls him off of his feet and to the canvas, causing him to release the headlock. Bryant now grabs Yuji's ankle once more, only for Yuji to push Bryant off with his feet, causing Bryant to roll across the ring, Yuji quick to follow. Bryant is ready to get up but drops back down, Yuji rolling over Bryant...and we're at a stand-off! CABOOSE Tut tut tut. Shoulda kicked him in the face. COLE In the face of great action like this, that is all you can say? Bryant and Yuji both stand back up and glare each other down for a moment...before Yuji feels a tap on his shoulder from Leon Rodez, who has just tagged himself in as a result. Yuji shrugs and exits the ring, as Leon enters in his place. COLE Well, the champion stepping in for the first time in this match. It'd probably be wiser for him to stay on the apron however. COACH Yeah, but then you'd have to mention how cowardly it was. Leon loosens himself up as he moves in on Bryant, The Grappler waiting. Scooting behind Rodez, Bryant locks on a waistlock and sweeps Rodez's feet out from under him and taking him to the mat. Rodez quickly shimmies to the side, into a seated position before pulling one of Bryant's hands out to the side and sliding behind Bryant with a hammerlock on. Pushing to his feet, Bryant hooks a hand under Rodez's jaw and springs off the mat, landing and flipping Rodez over with a snapmare. But Rodez hangs onto the hammerlock, shifting the weight so that he remains in control of Bryant. Bryant doesn't stay down for long though, pulling himself back up and connecting with a back elbow to Rodez's recently recovered nose. And a second... ...but Rodez ducks a third, allowing Bryant to stagger backwards... *SLAP!* "WHOOOOOO!" ...where he nails him with a knifedge chop, causing the off-guard Bryant to topple through the ropes and to the floor! COLE Leon Rodez with a little more 'cutting edge' in that exchange than Yuji in his, if you'll pardon the pun. As Bryant slowly pulls himself up on the outside, it seems his cousin Sean doesn't appreciate Rodez's abilities as he runs into the ring and barges Rodez out to the floor with Alex. And quickly Alex grabs Rodez in a side headlock while making a motion to his cousin, who suddenly sprints across the ring. Sean's crossfire is locked on Rodez as he sprints back... ...into a Danny Douglas clothesline! "BOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Douglas does a little celebratory strut at cutting Sean's dive off, but he doesn't see Jacob Lyne walking up behind him and hooking him up and over the top rope. Douglas, Rodez and both Bryants are all grouped on the outside now as Jacob Lyne walks over to the ropes, leaping over the top rope...AND WIPING OUT ALL FOUR WITH A PLANCHA! "JA-COB! JA-COB! JA-COB!" With the crowd chanting his name, Jacob hauls himself slowly off the concrete floor as the rest of the competitors around him try to do the same. And whilst they do so, Mikey Tethers is ready to dive. But Yuji Chusaki suddenly enters the ring, charging and wiping out Mikey with a clothesline! Only for Saxon to enter the ring and spin Yuji around, hooking him up and over with a hurricanrana that sends Yuji flying throat first into the middle rope. The ropes bounce him back towards the centre of the ring. Meanwhile, Saxon exits to the apron and begins to climb to the top rope. COLE Chaos has erupted early in this one! Saxon reaches the top rope and stops as he sees Mikey advancing, adjusting his positioning slightly before launching off the top and somersaulting himself into Tethers! Both Saxon and Mikey hit the canvas hard, pulling themselves slowly up whilst Yuji lines them up... *SLAP!* "WHOOOOOO!" *SLAP!* "WHOOOOOO!" ...chopping first Mikey, then Saxon! Both stagger a little as Yuji whips Mikey hard into the turnbuckles, before yanking Saxon the same way and piling the two up in the corner. As both men recline in the corner, as Yuji lines them up. CHUSAKI HEEEE-YAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!! Letting out a war-cry, Yuji charges...AND NAILS A RUNNING DROPKICK IN THE CORNER!!! Saxon takes the dropkick flush in the face, snapping his head back into Mikey's! The two men clock heads and slump to either side, Saxon falling through the ropes to the floor. Mikey isn't so lucky though, as he falls right at Yuji's feet. Quickly, Yuji pulls Mikey up to his knees and places him in a standing headscissors, quickly checking that the other competitors are out of the way. Which they are, brawling on the floor. Which allows Yuji to double underhook Mikey's arms and hoist him into the air...before sitting out, dropping Mikey down with a tiger driver! ONE! TWO! THREEE! *DING* "MIKEY TETHERS...ELIMINATED!" As Yuji rolls Mikey's lifeless body out of his lap and to the floor below, Sean Bryant has rolled into the ring and charges past Yuji, coming back... *SMACK!* ...INTO A YUJI SAVATE KICK!!! "OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHH!!!" Sean almost flips a full 360 degrees from the combined effects of impact and momentum, landing awkwardly on his head. Yuji simply bends down, making the cover... ONE! TWO! ...NO! The pin is broken by Alex Bryant, pulling Yuji off of the cover...AND DOWN INTO THE BORDER CITY STRETCH! COLE Bryant has the Jr. Heavyweight Champion wrapped up! This doesn't look good for the HI-YAH representative! CABOOSE Who cares? It's not like he works for us. He works for HI-YAH. COLE So? CABOOSE So...he's from Japan. He's evil! Bryant leans back with all his might, stretching out Yuji's neck to it's breaking point. But Yuji has the ropes in his sight and tries desperately to pull himself towards the nearest escape. Bryant pulls back once more...but as he does, Jacob Lyne rolls into the ring. Only to stop, realising that Yuji's elimination would only do him good. Luckily for Yuji though, Leon Rodez rolls in moments later and proves more loyal...or stupid, whatever...as he breaks the hold and quickly pitches Bryant out over the top, wiping out Douglas as he flies to the floor. Meanwhile, Rodez turns around looking for some more action... ...and finds himself faced with Jacob Lyne! COACH Woah boy! COLE Former partners face to face here. These two men were team-mates around the time of The Underground's invasion of the OAOAST. Lyne and Rodez both stop and a staredown ensues between both former partners, the crowd buzzing as the two step forward until they're nose to nose. At which point, Saxon Aussie suddenly enters the ring and charges up behind the unaware Rodez, shunting him into Lyne! The two clock heads and crash across the ring, as Saxon turns back and pulls Yuji Chusaki up from the canvas, dropkicking him backwards and into the corner. Yuji bounces off of the turnbuckles and staggers out, as Saxon leapfrogs Yuji, backflipping off of the middle rope and backflipping over the HI-YAH Jr. Heavyweight Champion, hooking his legs around his head and hurricanraning him across the ring. Saxon stands back up and poses, getting some screams from the females in attendance. But as Saxon's back is turned, a rolling dropkick from Sean Bryant sends him crashing to the outside. Now though, Bryant has his back turned, not seeing Leon Rodez sneaking up behind him and hooking Sean's hands around his throat, into a Japanese stranglehold. Sean tries to pull his arms free but can't, so instead places a foot on the middle rope. "ONE!" The referee starts the count, as Sean plants his other foot on the middle rope as well, for posterity. "TWO!" But Rodez isn't done. "THREE!" Popping his hips... "FOUR!" ...AND THROWING SEAN OVER, DROPPING HIM ON HIS GOD-DAMN HEAD~!!! COLE JAPANESE STRANGLEHOLD SUPLEX!?!?! CABOOSE Damn spot-monkeys. Sean flops to the canvas, as Rodez turns him over into the cover... ONE! TWO! THREEEEEE!!! *DING* "SEAN BRYANT...ELIMINATED!" Looking decidedly concerned, Alex Bryant crawls over to check on his cousin as Rodez gets back up...only to get socked down, by a Danny Douglas clothesline. COLE Folks, we'll be right back so don't go anywhere...this match shall continue!! *** COMMERCIAL BREAK *** COLE Welcome back to HeldDOWN~!, where during the break we saw the eliminations of both Alex Bryant and Jacob Lyne. Now, back to the action... CABOOSE That's kind of a cop-out, isn't it? COLE How? CABOOSE Well, you come back from a break and simply say 'this guy has been eliminated'...leaving it at that? Seems kinda...lazy. COLE Fine. Roll replays... *** REPLAYS *** Swinging neckbreaker from Douglas on Lyne! ONE! TWO! Rodez in for the sa... THREEEEE!! *DING* "JACOB LYNE...ELIMINATED!" ......... But just as Bryant looks ready to grab Yuji from behind, he finds himself cradled to the canvas, crucifix style by Leon Rodez... ONE! TWO! THREEEE!!! *DING* "ALEX BRYANT...ELIMINATED!" *** END REPLAYS *** COLE So now, four men remain. Leon Rodez, Yuji Chusaki, Danny Douglas and Aussie Saxon. One of these four men will leave tonight as the X-Division Champion of the world. In the ring are Yuji Chusaki and Danny Douglas, Douglas stomping away on the fallen HI-YAH superstar as boos are currently ringing around the arena. Likely because Douglas had hit a lowblow on Chusaki not twenty seconds ago. As the boos continue to sound out, Douglas takes a moment to make a belt motion around his waist in Rodez's direction before he scoops Yuji from the canvas. Quickly, Douglas throws Yuji across the ring and into the corner, right beside Saxon Aussie. But rather than tag himself in, Saxon steps back until Douglas tags him in. COLE As you can see, Saxon and Douglas have isolated Yuji Chusaki here and are working him over. Infact, this match has almost descended into a tag team format. CABOOSE Who'd'a thunk it? Stepping in, Saxon grabs Yuji and calls Douglas over, before the two men irish whip Yuji across the ring. Yuji ducks underneath a double clothesline attempt from the two men, coming back off the ropes...as suddenly, Saxon leaps into the air with a dropkick. Douglas simply turns away and laughs at the thought of doing something so adventurous as dropkick someone, so Yuji runs into a single dropkick. Turning his head, Saxon wonders where Douglas went. But instead he shrugs and makes a cover... ONE! TWO! Kickout. Saxon drags Yuji straight back up by the head, hooking him into position for a suplex. Yuji fights out with a series of shots to the gut, but Saxon breaks and dropkicks Yuji straight in the chest, sending him flipping backwards... ...into a tag from Rodez! "YEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!" The crowd pop as in comes Rodez, charging...and clotheslining down Saxon! Up scrambles the Australian, but a second clothesline puts him straight back down. Douglas now tries to come in, but Rodez sees him running over and sends a clothesline his way too. Managing to duck, Douglas runs onto the ropes. But Rodez hooks him as he comes back, hiptossing him over...cradling him up...as suddenly Saxon rolls over. Suddenly though, Yuji charges from the corner and SMASHES Saxon with a forearm. Dazed, Saxon staggers around, getting grabbed by Yuji and scooped up on top of Douglas. Now Rodez has just under four hundred pounds combined weight in his arms, which drops immediately down across his knee! COLE A DOUBLE Silky Scoop Loop! Wow! Douglas takes most of the move obviously, with Saxon feeling the after-effects also. Quickly Yuji pulls Saxon away and pushes him into a corner, walloping him in the jaw with a few more forearms, whilst Rodez drops into a lateral press on Douglas. ONE! TWO! T.. NO! Leaping back up, the relatively fresh Rodez pulls Douglas to his knees and quickly fires off some right hands, watching on as Yuji is continuing to do the same with forearms to Saxon. Rodez then backs up, lining up Douglas and booting him in the jaw! Douglas rocks on his knees, as Rodez boots him again! But a third is blocked, by a lowblow from Douglas! "BOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" COACH Lowblow, right in the Ro-nads! COLE And the referee didn't see it, busy pulling Yuji off of Saxon Aussie! Yuji turns away and sees the dis-orientated Douglas trying to pull himself up, deciding to hit the ropes and come back. Douglas reaches one knee just as Yuji comes back, launching off the planted knee...and connecting with a shining enziguri! The blow sends Douglas tumbling to the side and rolling out of the ring, as now Yuji encourages Rodez to get back up. However, behind him, Saxon Aussie is closing in...leaping onto Yuji's shoulders and victory rolling Yuji over... ONE! T... Yuji kicks backwards, reversing the pinning predicament... ONE! TWO! Saxon kicks out, scrambling to his feet as Yuji rolls back onto his feet acrobatically. Hitting the ropes, Saxon comes back with a crossbody, but Yuji sees it coming and manages to catch Aussie in his arms. But as Yuji catches Saxon, Rodez is back up and clubs Yuji in the back, before hooking on a waistlock. Yuji hangs onto Saxon despite being seriously dazed, as Rodez looks for the german suplex...but can't lift both Yuji and the cradled Saxon. Breathing deeply, Rodez tries again. But again, the weight is too much. COLE Rodez can't lift this much weight, single handedly. That's about four hundred pounds he's looking to german suplex, one way or another! Giving up, Rodez releases the waistlock and instead dives forward, hooking Yuji's head and bulldogging him down...causing Yuji to crush Saxon with a fall forward slam in the process! But Yuji rolls off of Saxon, clutching his ribs and unaware that he could have had the cover. Quickly Rodez turns to boot Douglas off of the apron, before turning back... RODEZ STREET! SMARTS! Rodez is ready to teach someone some Street Smarts, waiting for one of the two men in the ring with him to get back up. First to begin doing so is Saxon, but as he reaches his feet Rodez grabs "The Looks" and hurls him out of the ring, out to the floor. Meanwhile, Yuji is struggling to his feet as well. Rodez catches him on his knees with a kick, before pulling him up and applying the inverted front facelock, hooking up the tights and lifting... ...but Yuji floats behind Rodez! The X-Division Champion stops, as Yuji hooks on a full nelson... ...AND POPS RODEZ ONTO HIS HEAD!!! "OOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" CABOOSE Holy moly! COLE RELEASE DRAGON SUPLEX!!! Rodez slumps onto his back, moments before Yuji collapses on top of him... ONE! TWO! THREE... NOOOOOOOOOO!!! "YEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!" Yuji looks positively shocked as Rodez's shoulder explodes off of the canvas at the very last possible moment! The crowd too are shocked, cheering wildly as Yuji gets to his feet, pleading with the referee to change his mind. As he does though, Danny Douglas creeps into the ring and rolls him up... ONE! TWO! DOUGLAS GRABS THE TIGHTS.... THREEEE!!! "BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" *DING* "YUJI CHUSAKI...ELIMINATED!" CABOOSE And there goes the Junior Heavyweight Champ. Enjoy the flight home buddy. COLE Well, thank goodness his title wasn't on the line. Danny Douglas STOLE that victory, no doubts about it...Douglas used the tights for leverage. But Douglas doesn't care how he scored the fall, busy celebrating the fall as the desolant Yuji is told to leave the ring. Meanwhile, Saxon Aussie is climbing to the top. Rodez is groggily reaching his feet just now as Saxon reaches the top, quickly making his choice as he tumbles off the top... ...but Rodez catches Saxon as he attempts a somersault seated senton! Falling back, Saxon tries for a hurricanrana instead but Rodez is able to block, before stepping over Saxon's left arm. Struggling not to let his right arm go the same way, Saxon thrusts around in Rodez's grip... *SMACK!* Until Douglas dropkicks him square in the face, allowing Rodez to hook the other arm, before sitting back with the Sitdown Sunset Bomb... ONE! TWO! But Douglas breaks the count! COLE Now why would he do that? CABOOSE Because he's bad, babay! COLE Forget I asked. Pulling Rodez up, Douglas is smiling broadly as he lines Rodez up... *SLAP!* "WHOOOOOO!" But gets chopped by Rodez! *SLAP!* "WHOOOOOO!" And again! *SLAP!* "WHOOOOOO!" A third time, causing Douglas to howl and try to run for cover. But Rodez grabs Douglas by the tights and pulls him backwards, hooking on a waistlock. Douglas fires back a couple of elbows to quickly break himself free, hitting a third for good measure. As the waistlock breaks, Douglas STRUTS~! out of the hold and turns around with fingers extended, for some eye poking fun. But he doesn't reckon on Saxon Aussie leapfrogging Rodez, landing on Douglas with a seated senton... ONE! TWO! Douglas throws his feet up, hooking Saxon over for a sunset flip... ONE! TWO! But Saxon rolls to the side, taking Douglas' feet with him and turning the Devastatin' One onto his shoulders... ONE! TWO! Douglas shifts again, back to the sunset flip pin... ONE! TWO! Saxon rolls out, pushing forward on the legs and stacking Douglas... ONE! TWO! But Douglas kicks out, flipping Saxon back into the sunset flip pin in the process... ONE! TWO! Kickout by Saxon! Now both men roll to their feet, Saxon swinging and missing with a palm strike, leaving himself open for a waistlock from Douglas... *SMAAACK!* ...AND A RODEZ SUPERKICK! "YEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!" Saxon's head cracks back into Douglas who weakly holds onto the waistlock, as Rodez dives behind and sunset flips Douglas over, causing him to german suplex Saxon in the process... ONE! COLE He's got them both pinned! TWO! THREEEEEE!! "YEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!" *DING DING DING!* "DANNY DOUGLAS AND SAXON AUSSIE...ELIMINATED! Therefore, your winner of the match and STILL OAOAST X-Division Champion... LEON... RRRROOOODDEEEEEZZZZ!!!" Rolling from the ring, Rodez gratefully takes his X-Division Title and raises it into the air, whilst the dizzied Douglas sits up and wonders exactly what the hell just happened. The answer clear, as he catches sight of Rodez. Rodez staggers off, belt in hand, as Douglas starts to slam his fists into the canvas, unable to believe he lost. COLE Man, what a showing from the X-Division Champion here tonight, defeating seven challengers here! CABOOSE He didn't defeat seven. COACH Technically, he did... CABOOSE Oh, don't you start sucking up to him too. Rodez didn't pin seven men... COLE But he beat seven men, to RETAIN his title! CABOOSE ...whatever.

Rudo...pandering to the crowd? Makes it sound like you think Batista should have been making sure not to elicit crowd reactions. Even though he's clearly being groomed for a push. I agree with your point, but I didn't see the match so much as demoting Benoit as rather promoting Batista. I really don't think it hurt Benoit that much either. He lost to a man being booked as his equal. And not in a squash match either, in a competitive match where Batista impressed. The lasting impression wasn't neccessarily Benoit losing, but Batista's victory. As I've said many times before, if Benoit suffers from losing one match, then he must be in DIRE straights.

How Many People Here Actually Have Dreams..
King Cucaracha replied to natey2k4's topic in The WWE Folder
Yep. If not a wrestler, then I want to be doing something wrestling related in the near future. Writer, Manager, Colour Commentator, Ring Announcer, Referee, hell being a cameraman would do. The idea of being a referee in a medium-ish sized indy company like IWA:MS or the FWA (the British fed) would be preferrable. That way you can interact with the wrestlers, maybe take the odd bump every now and then maybe do some wrestling training on the side at some point. Then, working the indies would be more than enough for me. -
Somebody got me Photoshop Elements or something for X-Mas. If I ever get the hang of it (slow, lazy learner) then I'll try and get some graphics going for the company. Like PPV banners, maybe shirt designs. If I get the hang of it.

Dream Matches in the WWE (or wrestling in general)

I would pay big money to see Joe/Benoit. If we're talking all-time, Rock vs. Sting in their primes and Brock vs. Vader at their peaks would be dream matches -
New Year's Revolution Prediction Thread
King Cucaracha replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in The WWE Folder
ELIMINATION CHAMBER, WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP Triple H vs. Randy Orton vs. Chris Benoit vs. Chris Jericho vs. Edge vs. Batista -- I'll say Benoit, just to be different. Then Trips beats Benoit at the Rumble. After all, that'd be a more convincing way to get his job back. WWE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP Shelton Benjamin © vs. Maven -- I've a horrible feeling it'll be Maven. WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP William Regal & Eugene © vs. Christian & Tyson Tomko --Regal/Eugene WWE WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP Lita © vs. Trish Stratus -- Lita retains. Kane vs. Gene Snitsky -- Squash win for Kane. Jerry "The King" Lawler (w/Jim Ross) vs. Muhammed Hassan (w/Daivairi (can't remember the first name)) -- Hussan wins, but The All Americans get their heat back post-match. Got to protect those announcers. Unless the Chamber goes INSANELY long, they'll likely tag on another match too. Dean/Rosey maybe.
