    Feedback for the 11/11 show!

Sounds like a dare to me... The White Stripes? How much did we have to pay them? Jasmine getting wacky was funny. The Elimination Chamber build has begun. Should be an awesome match, considering the line-up. And the build should be something special too. My bold prediction is for Drek winning the title as he could do a seriously good job. Not that the other 5 couldn't, obviously. But Drek is l33t. Cal and Zack=goodness. Nate/Douglas was very enjoyable. Already Danny is looking a very interesting character. I like to think the Rodez/GPX triple threat was enjoyable too as I had a lot of fun writing it and thought it came out pretty darn well. Obviously, my boy Rando brings the awesome. This Chris and James is great comedy and it they should provide some good matches too, eventually. The Militia seem to stand-out from the crowd well in the Tag Division, which is good considering the vast division we now have. JACKIE GAYDA'S TIG OL' BITTIES~! Need I say more. That seriously had me laughing out loud. Stevens' character has come a long way, to the point that it now belongs in an Elimination Chamber main event. Speaking of standing out in the Tag Division, the stuff with Hell's Hitmen was so crazy that it worked perfectly. And Panther brings another fun match to end the show. Great action. And the ending was great shit. The OAOAST continues to go from strength to strength. Match-wise, the past year has probably been the best ever as this place develops onwards. Not to sound like 'Mr SWF', but there's a lot of writers here who could comfortably fit in with the competitive writing scene in the folder above, if they ever decided too...plus, there's a few SWFers here too. In terms of matches, the two feds are as close as they've probably ever been now. Add into that the segments continuing to excel and it's looking mighty healthy 'round here.

The OAO Survivor Series 2004 Thread

Are you saying that at Survivor Series, Snitsky and Heidenreich crossed paths? Shit, this is the kind of stuff I thought could only happen in theory. Yep. They went face to face for a while breathed heavily and exchanged those pleasantries...before they said they'd see each other soon. It was really quite a tender moment. Cole has got better. Compared to his 99 run and the early days with Tazz, he improved generally quite a bit. Then Smackdown went through a rut and it just seems like Cole and Tazz don't care enough to do a good job anymore. During the SD Six era and into 2003 though, Tazz and Cole were doing a pretty good job IMO. Other interesting observations. Snitsky getting cheered for destroying Maven. Christian wearing the worst entrance jacket in the WWE today. Hands down. Trish selling a (slightly) bloody nose like death. And the fact I now want Josh Matthews in the Cruiser Division.

    OAO Raw is Radno Thread

They should call it the Sparkler. As in the proper, Japanese 'Exploder' being firework like...and Benjamin's being the 'safe' alternative you'd give to a seven year old to keep them happy. Besides that, question is which week will be worse in terms of backstage skits? Maven is generic but has a decent enough speaking voice. I don't know if I could live through a whole night of non-in-ring Benoit segments. Jericho has had any character he ever had ripped away from him, aside for 'Assclown' and 'BABAY~!', but he is the best choice for skits. And Orton has a tendancy to stumble over his words...but he at least has a character of some sort.

I know that, read the description. I said Opening Match because it is in fact, the opening match. Or would you like someone to hold your hand? Uhm, ok... If it was a joke, I kinda missed it so apologies.

The OAO Survivor Series 2004 Thread

Michael Cole really brought the suck in the Cruiser 4-Way. "Spike Dudley is the unluckiest man in Cleveland tonight, he has only a 25% chance of winning tonight." Uhm...so did Rey. And Chavo. And Kidman. "And now we're left with the two friends in the ring, Rey and Chavo..." Since when were they friends!?! They'd feuded on and off ever since Rey debuted on Smackdown but I can't remember them ever really bring friends. In fact, they were bitter enemies way back at...ooh, Great American Bash in the Summer of THIS YEAR. "I really believe Kidman used the Shotting Star Press intentionally on Chavo Guerrero..." Well, no shit Sherlock. It wasn't an accident, was it. Still, line of the night goes to Heidenreich. "I like what you do to babies." Now that's something you don't hear every day. Except maybe in prison.
  8. No actual talent has been confirmed yet, but already there's unofficial rumours of Kobashi coming over to defend his title. Sounds exciting either way. Hopefully it'll hold up, especially with Smackdown and Raw tapings planned around the same sort of time-frame if I understand correctly. And as it says above, anyone going to British Uprising can pick up tickets for the show early.

WCW facts, tidbits, and stuff people forgot

Is it true they also had Don Callis on the same sort of agreement (be it handshake or whatever) around the same sort of time? Also... 1) They brought in E.Z Money towards the end of the company's run to boost the Cruiser Division and they had Daniels, Styles and Modest. Where there any other former ECW/present indiy stars they had eyes on? 2) What was the story behind Arachnaman and was there ever any legal action over it's striking similarities to Spiderman? 3) Super Invader? What was that about? 4) As the flipside from a question earlier, were there any interesting WWF stars that the WCW nearly signed or had eyes on at any point. 5) From watching the Classics show here in the U.K, they recently showed the 'Nintendo Top Ten Challenge'. One of the first matches was Rude vs. Taylor which was heel vs. heel, although Taylor played face. Did the Challenge actually go anywhere or accomplish anything, or was it just an attempt to create interest in WorldWide for a while? 6) The Junkyard Battle Royal wasn't supposed to be that bad, was it? Cheers in advance. This baby needs to get pinned.

The OAO Survivor Series 2004 Thread

If Booker wins the title, it'll be the first thign that's shocked me on a WWE show for many a month. The 'If I lose I'll leave Smackdown' build-up screams Booker winning by DQ or CO, to build a rematch at Armageddon. The big question is, will the 'winners control Raw' storyline go beyond the eight people involved and Flair? Obviously Snitsky's week would involve Lita and Edge's might involve Christian. Other than that, I just hope they make something of this that'll affect the entire roster rather than just the top.

    Big Show Injured

Seems legit. If so, then I can't see how he can go at Survivor Series. Obviously, they can play it up in storyline which is a plus. But even then, it's going to be tough. How can an injured ankle support 500 pounds body weight properly?

    Papparazi beaten

I hate that excuse, because the day after someone uses it you always hear the rest of the story. Like over here in Blighty. Prince Harry got swarmed by papparazi a few weeks back. He tried to close his limo door and one camera-guy jammed his camera in between the door and the roof so he couldn't close it. And Harry ended up getting cut by the camera. So Harry got out and went after him...and guess what, Harry was the bad guy for it. These papparazi need to learn self-control. Yeah, they have a job to do. But there's a way to go about things and there's a way to alienate the people they're trying to get pics of. The lengths some of them will go to get one picture is scary.

    PROMO: The Strongest Seed

Well, the point of this was to put myself in World Title connection (for me personally) without making the ICTV Title look like the 'lesser' belt, which does no good to whoever inherits it from me. So, yeah.
  19. ***SWF.net EXCLUSIVE- POST STORM*** Standing backstage and showing both signs of sweat and exhaustion, despite his match having finished well over an hour ago, the SWF Intercontinental Television Champion Landon "La Cucaracha" Maddix stands alone staring into the camera. No fancy setting. No interviewer. Just Maddix. The blood that flowed during the battle royal Maddix has just won still covers his head and face, dried on now and left alone more as war paint than anything. Removing the ICTV Title from over his shoulder, Maddix takes a deep breath and squints at the headache he is suffering. "Sunday, November 14th...will mark the ninetieth day that the Intercontinental Television Championship has been in my possession. A record, in SWF history. It seems the perfect time to sit back and reflect on the good times...and the bad. The times I fought and clawed my way up through the rankings to get this belt. The amount of energy I exerted, the sweat I passed, the blood I lost. For the past five months since I defeated Ace Lezaire to gain possession of this championship for the first time, I have cherished and coveted this gold belt. It has been my life for the past five months." Stopping to look at the belt, Maddix manages a smile over his blood encrusted face. "Landon Maddix...SWF Intercontinental Television Champion. The ninetieth day that I have heard those words together. And every day, it sounds sweeter than the last. Landon Maddix...SWF Intercontinental Television Champion. It's almost become custom. Ever since Janus took this belt and dis-respected in front of the world, I have strived every day to bring prestige back to this championship. And yes, there were times in the past when I resented this championship and what it meant to my career. But I've wiped the tainted stains off of this belt...Chris Card, The Suicide King, Janus, Max King. I have wiped those stains off as I've wiped each tear, each drop of sweat, each drop of blood that I have put into this gold belt! And now, I am once again PROUD to be holding this belt for the third time." Again Maddix stops, this time turning away from the camera shot and judging by the sound of metal clunking, sets his ICTV Championship belt to the side before returning into view. "Which, makes it all the more ironic that on this day...and on the night of my 90th day holding the belt, that I'm not thinking about that belt." Sighing, Maddix brushes the hair from his eyes, or at least those hairs that aren't stuck to his scalp by the dark red gunge covering his forehead. "Tonight, was not about being the Intercontinental Television Championship. Tonight...it was about a new journey. The next step. Tonight, the sweat I perspired and the blood that I lost was for getting closer to a shot at the SWF World Heavyweight Championship. Despite the beating I took at Ashes To Ashes, I sucked it up and went out into that ring and outlasted eight other men. All to become the number one seed. Which doesn't guarantee me a shot don't get me wrong. I know the big test is yet to come. But believe me, I am ready. Danny Dagda knows I am ready. Spike Jenkins knows I am ready. Sacred, Christian Fury, Manson...everyone in that ring knows what this title shot means to me. Especially you Max King." A smile creeps over the face of Landon Maddix upon uttering the last name, as he again tries to make the blood on his face more noticeable. "Oh yeah Max, you got me tonight. You got me boy. Second time in five days, you managed to bust me open in the middle of that ring. And you enjoyed it, didn't ya? I looked up when you were raining those fists down across my forehead...though my head was pounding and my eyes were rolling, I looked up into your eyes. I saw the look in your eyes. I saw the anger. The FURY. I saw that you felt strongly enough about the ICTV Title that when I took the belt from you, it lit a fire in you. In that battle royal, Max King was the dominant male. You went out there and eliminated body after body. But still, you couldn't get that one thing you wanted. Revenge. Irony is, I've seen the brackets. You're on the opposite side of the draw to me now which means it could come down to Max King versus Landon Maddix, as to who faces the World Champion. Or...it could be Landon Maddix vs. Sacred. I still remember, my first night in. I came in holding two belts...left holding none. That was almost a year ago. Maybe I'll get the chance to settle the score. Or David Cross, you might be my opponent. Or Manson. Manson, who never had the best of luck with me in the SJL. It could come down to any one of those four...if I get past Dagda or Fury. And then Spike or Cortez. The possibilites are endless... ...but the result, WILL be the same. See...for every day that I have held the Intercontinental Television Championship, I would sweat twice as much. Bleed twice as heavily. And fight for twice as long, for half the time as your World Heavyweight Champion. Believe me, this kid ain't under no illusions. I know that I will have to do all those things to be the man. But my god I am ready. Being the SJL World Champion was an experience that should have been one of the greatest in my life. But it was tainted, by the way the company ended. Now's my chance to win the REAL big one. And I'll be damned if I don't give every ounce of energy inside of me to achieve my next goal." As he notices himself getting a little worked up, Maddix stops to take a few more breaths and calm himself back down. "So, to Danny Dagda and Christian Fury...I will be watching your match with great interest my friends. And to whoever comes out on top. Whever it be you Danny Dagda. One of the men I dumped out tonight. Strong as an ox and my god, don't you know it. Or whever it's you Christian Fury. Hardcore Gamers Champion, Tag Team Champion. Whoever it is, I offer you these words of warning. Prepare...For Landon." With a last piercing look into the camera, Maddix turns off...scooping up his belt as he walks off, traced down the hallway a little way by the camera. The SWF Women's Champion meets him with a blood stained towel and wraps an arm around him, as Maddix returns the favour and presses the towel to his head...as the camera fades.

Thoth- Fury versus Dagda is the first match in the Cold Front Classic. I assume it's the Prelim Match. The winner gets the HONOUR of facing the #1 seed, me, in the first round proper.

    The Old School questions thread

    1) At Survivor Series 87, what was the deal with the Bees and the Young Stallions being the Sole Survivors of the 20 Man Tag. Were they set for pushes? 2) How did they explain Hogan and Orndorff teaming together and acting like buddies in the SurSer 87 main event?

    Ashes 2 Ashes Losing Matches

Oky-doke. First off, this is in now way a 'bad' match and there's some things you managed to do better than me. Like spelling Intercontinental right, for a start. If there were minor points to be found, it might be that your match had quite a few more pins than mine did. Which, may or may not have been a good thing. Also, when the pin did come, some of the turnbuckle attempts laked the DRAWMUH to stand out from the rest of the match. Some did admitedly, but some didn't. This one, for example, don't look like they could be the match ending sequence. It looks too much like just another part of the match. Now, technically, would that count as a break in the sequence. I'm not sure as I haven't seen a strap match for months, but I would have assumed it's only a break once the person in the sequence is knocked down or there's contact from the other guy. Having never seen a sack of wet mice, I can't comment. There was plenty you did do right though. I preferred your ending, thought you did a better job of making a match without making it too dramatic in places, like mine. And it seems you spell-checked it, unlike moi. But as you say, Que Sera Sera. Besides that I can't really be impartial. Hope that helped some.

    Booking for the 11/18 show!

Couple' questions... 1) Is there/was there an official weight limit on the X-Division Title. I assumed not seeing as Supes had it back in the day, but I'm not certain. 2) Jesse's "Body Shop" is cool to use, right? 3) Is Joel Gertner being used at all for anything. I know he showed up on one show as authority, but having heard nothing since... 4) Why do I laugh at Rando's sig every time I see it? K thx bye
