PROMO: Champions Press Conference.
King Cucaracha replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in Smarks Wrestling Federation
It's not a sanctioned title though, is it? That's the way I took it when you told me about it. Oh, and yeah, your ass is mine etc. etc. -
Okay, looks like I dodged the bullet... ...any criticisms of the ICTV Title hotpotatoing storyline can be placed here for me to deal with. Any praise can be too. Oh yes. Welcome back to those who are back, congratulations to those who are new champions and holy crap it's SILENT!

Well, not sure if this was a work or not (I believe it was..), but the way it was explained on the show. The PPV carriers deemed it too violent of a match to be shown live as the opportunity for someone to get seriously hurt was too great. So the match went on first, before the PPV itself began. I think the deal of explaining it was that the match was to be released on video-tape, only edited to suit. Anyway, after Bigelow/Taz there was the whole commotion about part of the ring being broken. Styles started talking about Sabu/Sandman, before Paul.E came to the desk. The two hard an arguement, before Paul.E ordered for the Sandman/Sabu match to be shown. Which it then was. So, it's possible that the match went on first so they had something to show while 'repairing' the ring or maybe because Sabu/Sandman needed the full ring.

Woah...he was never really over? The first run with the porn-star gimmick got him over. As over as the gimmick would allow, but he sure as hell made it work.

Is there any chance of trading out Cena for Raven, at all?

*spits out water* So, not only does Van Dam learn a new wrestling move, it's a finisher...and it's a german suplex? They could have at least given him a CREDIBLE move. Unless it's a shock counter or something. But still...a german suplex winning a match?

Year-End Nominations: Promo Stuff/Comedic Moment
King Cucaracha replied to Ace309's topic in Community/General
Remember Tom's promo before his match with Candace...the one that ended with the words "Damn Alli, I can't do THAT to her" or near enough. Nominate. -
Earthquake at Battle Royal At The Albert Hall (paraphrased): Quake': Gene, do you know how far it is on a boat from America to the England? Really far...that's why we took the plane!

So...Booker T's turning for no reason to go after JBL and now Chavo is turning for no reason to go after Carlito? Eh. I don't really like it, but it's something fresh for them in terms of card placement.

Don't get me wrong, Owen WAS world-class. But the fact is, he's done nothing of note for months now. Since coming back from his injury, he's been a shadow of his former self. Trouble is...the pundits and experts still rate him as one of England's most valuable players and continually harp on about him 'just needing one goal to kick-start his season'. He's been no better than Beckham, who's been slated recently. And the thing with Owen is, he still thinks he's 19 years old and tries to take it past more players than he needs to, takes too long on the ball and takes too long to shoot.

Well, at the risk of giving too much away, I call opening promo to discuss the future of the SWF Intercontinental Television Championship and it's new owner. Rest assured, it's important.
-
Well, 2-0 to England. Not bad but not great. I swear though, Owen is so over-rated it's not even funny anymore. He wouldn't pass the ball because he was so deadset on scoring. Only trouble was, instead of passing, he continually took on situations where he was outnumbered by at least 2 men. And ended up losing the ball nearly every time. Real Madrid's bench doesn't need him, believe me.
-
Well, OAOAST wise it's week to week as my feuds have so far lasted roughly a month each. In the SWF, I'm more like PFL as I've got my plans pretty much sorted up until March '05. Not in a lot of detail of course, but I have a lot of ideas in the bank for feuds. Hell, my SWF feud with Rando was an on and off feud for about 6 months, with a lot of plans laid out early but most things ironed out later.

Year-End Nomination Thread: PPV Match of the Year
King Cucaracha replied to Ace309's topic in Community/General
From this year... - Grappler's Clusterfuck should definately be in, as should the Wildchild/Flesher Ladder Match from the same event. - Grappler winning the belt from Va'aiga and then losing it to Duran...both very good matches. - Toxxic winning the title in the triple threat is momentous and it's also a good triple threat match which is tough to do. - And for the same reasoning, Ryan Dustin's triple threat ladder match from Genesis V deserves a mention. There's a lot elsewhere too, but it's hard to pick out any in particular without feeling guilty for leaving other matches out. -
I swear we used to have a video games folder.

Storm Comments for October 10th, 2004
King Cucaracha replied to Sly's topic in Smarks Wrestling Federation
Well...from a quick skim, it's congrats to Filthy. Here's hoping the other three n00bs wrote. Cross and Fury catch me majorly by surprise, but in a good way. Looks like even though Hollywood Boulevard is done with, Masked Man's away and WCs still inactive...the tag division still has some life. Mark's promo is pure hype gold. Hype or not, Mark vs. King in HIAC is going to be one hell of a spectacle. This just makes me want to read it more. Well, 'Drea wins her match. I know Ace couldn't show...hoping Johnny did and is still active, because he's slipping down that card. Very enjoyable from Drea all the same. I'm actually pleased my dumpster match won as I think that's about the best I've wrote in a long time, as far as being 'natural'. Trying to turn Maddix into a puro head was no fun. Hitting people with Pepsi Max cans is. And then, of course, Toxxic pulls out the win and now Mike signs up for that big 'retired SWF wrestlers' board in the skies. Only to return when our PPV cards need a little sprinkling of name value. Sad to see Mike go, but I've feeling he won't be 'gone' as such. Just retired. -
I know you mean in-ring Rudo, but Michaels was back within a year in the Commisioner's position. Granted, back then it wasn't that big of a deal. But today, it'd be Austin syndrome all over again. Hell, Michaels was being used high up the card briefly in late 99 too. Remember when he cost The Rock the Brahma Bullrope Match. And he was referee for the Ironman Match in 2000. He was supposed to come back for WM X7 and do something with Trips too, wasn't he? Michaels wasn't a 'regular' talent, but he never really went away for all that long. He still kept his face in the spotlight so no-one would forget him. As long as Trips is in the wrestling business, he'll want to be on top. And as long as he's physically capable then he'll be in the wrestling business. There's really no two ways about it, without Vince actually asserting authority on the issue, as Triple H isn't going to go of his own accord.

Booking for the 10/14 HD~! From Philly
King Cucaracha replied to Patty O'Green's topic in Brandon Truitt
From the Round-Robin Tournament... "The Mad" Mad Cappa takes on "The Not So Mad" Panther! "Sexy" Drek Stone goes up against The "So Sexy He Has To Wear A Mask" Blurricane! And it's "The Bigman~!" Gunner Sharps one on one with "The Little Job Boy" Leon Rodez! Oh, and just to rule out any last minute confusions as far as my match goes, I can (and unless that's a problem will) write Gunner/Leon. Oh yes! -
