Don't worry, all will be explained v.soon. Now, whever you'd class it as explained or confused the hell out of everyone is debatable. As for the sixman tag... - As you know, I'm loving the face/tweener/heel craziness, so this already meets my approval. Comedy entrance for the faces which is good, considering who's there. Dicenssion (sp~!?) to start and this brings the conclusion that not enough people in the fed 'get all up in people's areas'. Just my opinion. The match itself is a very fun affair. Right from the get-go, we have the heel, tweener and face clearly distinguished up against Bowers. Injury spot to Cortez...those ring attendants are hella quick. Of course, that fits in with the storyline and gives MVS and TMM a chance for more disagreement. Nice that Team Face/Tweener/Heel are working on the rookie relentlessly, all within storyline, and I mark for the LARIATOOO~! obviously. Still no mention of Birdy or Drea as we get the chant. TMM joining in is funny. And again, Cortez is put across well as a tweener, which some people may forget seeing as he's MVS's buddy. Justin gets face heat which is nice to see, and eventually the tag is made. No HOUSE EN FEUGO~!, which is a refreshing change. Eventually it's the dicenssion that breaks things down...and eventually costs them the match, thanks to an MVS Riot Act on TMM. Match was fun, with much storyline enhancement and a considerable amount done for Bowers' prospects. Plus things didn't become a total clusterfuck luckily. However, I had a couple of problems with it. Firstly, it was a little odd that Drea didn't get into the match at all. I was hoping for a little continuation of Drea's crush on TMM which admitedly would have confused things. But the main thing was the ending. It went from Birdman in trouble to Van Siclen and Masked Man, to Birdman getting the pin after Van Siclen's move. Kinda came off bad on Team Flip-Flop, as they got the win but through no doing of their own...and then the talk was back on the threeway storyline. I can understand why and it doesn't bother me, because I'm loving the story. But it did seem a little bit like Flip-Flop looked bad at the end. Anyway...again, fun sixman that had very solid actual wrestling to go with it and makes me eagerly await what happens next.

Final Roster for PS2's WWE SmackDown vs. RAW

Holly and Jindrak made it? Hallelujah. That roster is way too small. There's at least 12 regular WWEers not on that list. London, Kidman, Rosey, Hurricane, Spike, Conway, Grenier, Regal, Eugene, Noble, Bashams, Reigns, Suzuki...

    Predictions~!

MAIN EVENT SWF WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH Toxxic© vs. Johnny Dangerous You just know Toxx is going all out with this open challenge thing and, as much as I like Johnny's stuff, Brit pride tips the balance. SWF CRUISERWEIGHT TITLE MATCH Tom Flesher© vs. Candace Tom and his superior wang. SINGLES MATCH Dace Night vs. Sean Davis Dace to get back on track. SWF USJL #1 CONTENDERSHIP MATCH David Cross vs. Austin Sly Tight one because Cross has looked decent since returning, but Sly nicks it. “ROOKIE” SINGLES MATCH Justin Bowers vs. Brian Levy Judgestin has the storyline on his side which should help...hella tough match though. SWF ICTV #1 CONTENDERSHIP MATCH Jamie Drazon vs. Andrea Montgomery vs. Manson vs. “The Icon” Max King This could really go any which way, but I'm tipping Drea to get the shot. SINGLES MATCH John Duran vs. The Birdman If he writes, then he should win. IGNJL EASTERN UNITED STATES TITLE MATCH Petey The Irish Penguin vs. Munich© Uhm, no match so NP. NON-TITLE HARDCORE MATCH Landon Maddix© vs. Todd Cortez© Should be fun.

Who should become the new member of Evolution?

I actually like that, with Trish in as the 'Baby Doll' of the group. But I agree with Loss, no Edge or Christian puns. Hell, change their names to their real names, Adam Copeland and Jay Reso. Instantly they seem more of a serious duo and you rid yourself of the E&C comedy stigma. Plus there's already 'one name' Batista and 'not even a name' HHH. Of course, then they have to explain why two brothers have different surnames, but there's probably a way of doing that.

Gutsy too, because this could backfire. Then again, it's Toxxic. He rocks.

    PROMO: The Joshi Dragon?

*gives it love* Yeah. I actually missed this first time around. Interested as to where this is going and the emotional dillemas help to create a new side(s) to Candace's character. Plus there's certainly no harm in playing up the Japan/America differences in terms of wrestling and their legacies. Something that I can't remember being done in-depth here.

    Olympic Chatter

I think it's Parry, but no worry. Great swim I agree and the best thing Team GB has done all Olympics beside the synch diving...which is still our only medal. Start as we mean to go on, I'm sure.

    I hate Toronto

Well, I guess that's all the arguement you need against any 'Toronto is a smart crowd' mentions in the future.

The OAO Raw Is Randy thread for 08.16.04

I still see Orton/Jericho happening before any Orton face turn, plus it looks like HHH/Eugene may continue as possibly HHH/Flair vs Eugene/Regal. A quicky Orton face turn does no-one any favors. Plus every heel to face turn has resulted in the character being excruciatingly lame recently, so they really need to build as much of an heel Orton following as possible before the turn.

    I hate Toronto

Those fans booing Eugene sure popped for the Stunner, eh? Those fans chanting "You Screwed Bret" at Hebner sure told Flair what they thought about him disrespecting Bret. And those fans sure showed respect for good wrestling during Angle/Eddie and Orton/Benoit by either sitting on their hands or chanting abuse at a referee. Smart crowds, like the general ROH crowd, respect good wrestling. Toronto wasn't a smart crowd. It was a crowd that tried to draw attention to itself. It seems like that's the way wrestling fans are going. NY boo Lesnar/Goldberg and get praised for it. Boston (?) booed Steiner/HHH and got praised for it. Hogan/Rock... Lesnar/Rock... Hell, people still talk about the pro-Hart crowd at Canadian Stampede favorably. It seemed more a case of Toronto trying to be smart rather than put their own opinions across at times. It's like they were trying to change the WWE 'single' handedly, just so they could possibly say 'I was the reason JBL jobbed the title' three months down the line. I'm sure the reactions were based on their opinions, but it seemed a little much at times. Oh, and one observation. The crowd only seemed about 60/40 against Eugene on second viewing. He got pops for the Stunner, Rock Bottom and Legdrop.

    The OAO SummerSlam 2004 Thread

Well, I personally thought it was a decent show...made worse by the crowd, but that's dealt with in another thread. JBL/Taker was much better than I expected, until the 'wave' and then the ending. Oh...and Bradshaw getting chokeslammed through a paper-thin roof. WTF was that!?! Why would JBL, the WWE Champion, be riding around in a limo that can't withstand anything above light drizzle? Angle/Eddie was much better than I'd hoped for. I guess I'd given hope up on a heated match, which helped. But Angle might as well throw away the ankle lock because it's credibility is gone. EVERYONE knows how to counter it. He had to apply it 6 or 7 times in the match. Hell, when Shamrock used it nobody would stay in for more than 5 seconds. Eddie was in the Ankle Lock for 3 or 4 minutes in total. And nobody reacts to the Ankle Lock anymore because you know the recipient just has to roll forward and he's out. And w00t~! for Orton/Benoit. Great match with Orton doing more than enough to get my approval and Benoit smoothing out Orton's rough-edges. That suicide dive into the barricade from Benoit was sick. Surprising how many Orton signs there were in camera shot, but pleasantly surprising and the handshake at the end put both Orton and Benoit over. Pity about the corwd...but then again, that's for another thread.

    Best/Worst Announcers Of All Time

Ah, I was just gonna mention Donovan. I still cringe every-time I watch KOTR '94 because the guy was either not prepped or didn't listen to any prep. Clueless. And I agree with House's nomination. I usually watch CZW shows on mute because his voice really is that annoying. On the flip-side, I always like Schiavone up until mid-90s when he stopped giving a damn. Tony and Jesse always made a good team, as did Tony and Bobby.

    I hate Toronto

Yeah...the thing is JBL/Taker wasn't really that bad. Seriously, I watched Summerslam back and the crowd were dead all night. The opening six man were decent but the crowd couldn't have given a shit. Same for Cena. Same for Kane/Hardy (save for the chokeslam). Hell, they sat on their hands for 90% of the Angle/Eddie match which I thought was a very enthralling match. As much as the blame goes to the WWE for their product, the blame should go on most of the fans. Why pay $35, even months in advance, if the only entertainment you get out of the night is a wave. EDIT: And please, nobody cal Toronto a 'smart' crowd when they chant 'You Screw Bret' at Hebner but earlier in the night cheer and 'WHOO' for Flair. Yeah, they sure care about Bret's name being tarnished.

    I hate Toronto

Ugh, where nik when you need him? Back on subject, it seemed like they were booing Bradshaw/Taker because they thought it was the 'cool, smark crowd, we're Toronto and NY sucks' type of thing to do at times and I agree that a bad crowd makes bad shows even worse. In the case of Eugene, instead of getting into the match the crowd kept taking the attention away towards themselves. I'm indifferent to Eugene, but I'd have preffered to actually watch the match and make my own conclusions, rather than having to listen to and watch the crowd. And the biggest arguement is that if the crowd keep shitting over the wrestlers, pretty soon the wrestlers will half-ass every single match until people stop turning up. The sort of stuff coming from the Toronto crowd isn't going to make wrestlers put on a better effort. It's going to make wrestlers regret becoming wrestlers, just like Lesnar. This isn't ECW. "Boring" chants won't make workers 'step it up' because unlike ECW fans, it's hard to tell whever the Toronto fans would give a shit anyway. HOWEVER...I agree with Banky Bitch, in that the fans paid their money and there's nothing to stop them doing what they want to enjoy themselves.
