Believe me, I'm not saying Lesnar and Goldberg shouldn't have tried to pick the pace up. I'm not saying the bad match wasn't their fault. All I'm saying I feel the match might have been laid out slow. Whever they should have picked up the pace is a different issue. Firstly, why would they want to? It was obvious a hefty portion of the crowd would have shat on whatever they did. Secondly, and I agree, they possibly couldn't. I wouldn't imagine either had much experiences of changing matches on the fly. My point isn't concerning whever they could/should have made the match better, because I agree that they could/should. My point is that I feel the match was based slowly in the hope that the NY crowd would shit over it, thus softening the blow of losing the two of them to the mark crowd.
-
See, you're missing my point. Of course he didn't send them out there to suck. But I still think the match was booked slowly with the possibility of the NY crowd shitting over it.

I'm only a student of the English language somehow... ...stupid American test.

That's just a stupid conspiricy theory? If the match was pre-planned by a road agent then they would have had to have more than FOUR days to do it. I just think they were both phoning it in because they weren't bothered about the match since they were both leaving. To be honest, if I were getting that reaction, I'd have phoned it in. As for your point about having more than four days...if they changed the ending, they'd have to change a chunk of the match they had planned. Who's to say they weren't told to wrestle a slower match at the time? It's obvious from the backstage reaction I already mentioned that no-one gave a damn about Goldberg and Lesnar. I'm not saying the bad match wasn't GBerg and Lesnar's fault, but I feel that someone had a hand in making the match a little slower. Call me suspicious, but I still reckon the way the match was laid out did neither man any favours. Oh, they have to be **** matches. Why not make it ***** so you can prove your point better? I'd give Show/Brock more than **. Benoit and Eddie have been mentioned. Taker at Unforgiven was solid, HIAC was great. He had a decent match with Mysterio on Smackdown when debuting the BrockLock. Rock/Brock from SS2002 was good. I don't give a crap who you think 'carried' it, so I'm counting it. You're also not counting Triple Threats...conveniently ignoring Lesnar/Show/Angle. I enjoyed Brock/Hogan from before SS2002 as well. That's just for starters. Considering some of the matches he had were against the Billy Gunn's and Hardcore Holly's, or were extended squashes, I'd say that's pretty impressive.

I still believe the match was booked to be a slow match by Vince and crew, so that the fans would give the two that reaction. If the two weren't leaving, everything in everyone's power would have went into making Lesnar/Goldberg special. But the match, even without the crowd heat, sucked...and it was nothing like your typical Lesnar or Goldberg match really. Plus the reports you hear of the guys backstage laughing it up over the reactions. I still feel the match was booked to be bad, just to humiliate the two. The guy's charisma had improved tenfold by the start of 2004. And he had great matches throughout 2003, with guys like Big Show no less and his match with Eddie at NWO...but, we should forget about that because he left. Ok. Just more heat seaking from you it seems.

He's the Raw Jobber, remember? Doesn't look a bad show, except for the Eddie/Eddie's mom segment. If they use that, the Bradshaw/Eddie build up has reached all new levels of suck.
-
Am I missing something here? Who's treating him like God? Just because we're not saying he's worthless like you are, doesn't mean we're worshipping him.
-
Retire? Or, failing that, Steiner needs to go to Smackdown seeing as he has somewhat of a name value left. He'd have more use there than getting lost in the Raw midcard shuffle.

You still should show respect for the man. His entire life has now been confined to a wheelchair, and it came as a result of being a professional wrestler. If nothing else, it's not a terrible request to ask you to shake his hand and talk to him for a few minutes. From all accounts, he's a decent person, and he should be treated as such. It's not about greeting Stone Cold, The Undertaker, and guys who you think can do something for your career in the future. It's about being a good human being, and being kind towards those that are now less fortunate than you - such as one that is paralyzed and permanently confined to a wheelchair. You really should quit now. Last I checked, Droz wasn't 20 years old. Hell, last I checked he wasn't even 30. Droz has lead a decent life. You are trying to make him out as god because hes in a wheel chair. Thats like me saying Owen Hart was god because he died in a horrible way. Or that Bret Hart should be whatever the hell the ruler of Canada is because he almost died in a motorcycle acident. Shit happens. Get over it. Nuff said. Wow. Are you really that ignorant, or did you not read the post before you replied? 'Droz has led a decent life' is no reason not to show the guy a little respect when he's around.

Thoth + me + weird stip = no surprise. Looks fun, although I don't really get how you can be put THROUGH paper stacks. Then again, that's probably just me. EDIT: ***NEW STATS PUT UP***

I dare say 3 Count Helms would get over. There's enough people around who'd mark for the return, and the rest would probably welcome a slightly more believable gimmick.

What Corey said. Making the X-Division more diverse can only be a good thing and less confusing for us guys when they hire guys like Rude. Anyway...they could certainly have chose someone worse than Bobby Rude.

He needs to swallow his pride and retire, take backstage job if offered or even an on-screen non-wrestling role. I don't want to see Angle wrestle again, even HBK/Angle, if he's risking his life and livelihood for it. The guy has to think of his family.

SWF Favorite Writer(s): Justice and Rule, Taamo and Grappler are top of the list. Mainly because I've tried ripping them off before. WC too...his hardcore stuff was fantastic. Plus he said me. Danny and Toxxic are high on the list too. Favorite Promo(s): Err...well, Z's seeing as I can remember them. Favorite Match(es): Again, my memory sucks...so I'll go with Grap's Clusterfuck. Favorite Stip to Write: Multi-man matches, which I'm not part of enough. My Biggest Accomplishment: SJL Triple Crown, last ever JL Champion, beating Todd Royal in my third match. I Regret That: I didn't get to write the Clusterfuck, I didn't become JL Champ earlier, my floppy disc sucks so I couldn't write a decent Empty Arena Match, that I didn't join sooner. I Wish: Clusterfuck wasn't so far away, that Judge would come back Dream Matches Involving Yourself: Me and TNT from what I've seen of his. Me and Flesher would rock too. Oh, and Maddix/Ejiro. Dream Matches: Shite...Flesher and King would be awesome. I've Become Most Friendly With: Rando and Todd. I Hope: Rando and Todd go on great runs and get big recognition, that I get to write a Clusterfuck (see a pattern forming?), that I get to World Title level sometime. Personal Name (First name works, last name if you don't care): Chris Single: Yes Have Most Trouble: See Above Favorite Things to Do: Listen to music, Play computer games...just relax and shit. And play football (soccer to the Yanks) when my knee isn't wrecked. Most Recent Accomplishment: Probably the last time I scored a goal. Which isn't really recent. Most Recent Failure: Failing to get important schoolwork done in time. That's a common one. Favorite Bands: RCHP...I'm more into songs than bands other than that. Favorite Book: I don't read that much, so I couldn't say. Favorite Movie: I'm no movie buff...anything funny I guess. Favorite Actor: See above. One Song to Listen to On Repeat: Right now it's D-12 "My Band". It changes whenever I find a song I like. One Item You'd Save During A Fire: My laptop. I'd be fucked otherwise. Something You Want to Get Into To: Wrestling without being a wrestler. Once I'm old enough, I'm going to try to become a referee, announcer or something. Playing/singing in a band would be great, but I'm talentless. Or porn. Porn's good. Biggest Regret/Mistake: About everytime I haven't asked someone I liked out. Biggest Turn On: Someone I can talk to. Seriously. Biggest Turn Off: Breasts that are too big, or girls that are taller than me. If You Died and Went To Heaven, What Do You Want God to Say: "Fancy being re-born?" How About Going to Hell, Devil says: "Fancy a marshmallow?"

Smackdown needs stars. The genius of the front office thinks Jeff is a star. Do the math. If it is Hardy, Kid Notorious and everyone else on his board going needs to give him a ROH style welcome.

John Cena Getting A Title Reign Before Christian?
King Cucaracha replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
If Christian gets himself a new offensive style then he could very well be a big star. The Jericho feud has helped his crowd reactions, as has Trish being in his corner. Plus he plays the cocky heel brilliantly. But still, Cena should be a World Champ before XTain...considering he's the most over wrestler on Smackdown and all. -
Wrestlers where their debut televised matches were
King Cucaracha replied to Lil' Bitch's topic in General Wrestling
I'm guessing you can't count Mr America at Judgement Day '03. -
Yeah, RVD's 5 Star is the exception. The problem is more when the person on the mat moves themself around into position, which more often than not looks mighty dumb. While I'm here, might as well add the 'missed avalanche into Clothesline From Hell' spot that never seems to go away.

TNA To Start Using 6 Sided Ring For X Division
King Cucaracha replied to BoboBrazil's topic in TNA Wrestling
That would be intresting to say the least, but I dont see it happening. Indeed. There wouldn't be a whole lot of mat if it's got to fit inside the Asylum, but it'd be a better way to be original. Still...if the 6 sided ring comes off, it should be an interesting watch. -
Gold.

Nobody's mentioned the Stinkface yet? Let alone the way everyone falls in perfect position for it. Also the whole 'two guys on the top rope, the one facing out to the cowd gets pushed off and manages to land in perfect position for the opponent to hit his top rope finisher' is starting to get very old, very quickly.
-
Meh. If he comes back in the same sort of role as Grandmaster has done, then it doesn't bother me. Then again, the article only says ATTEMPTS to return, so this could all just be misleading speculation and stuff. And by could I mean probably is.
-
As far as Edge using the Edgeucution...Christian's started using Gangrel's Impaler DDT recently, which is basically the same move. So maybe that's why he doesn't use that. Plus it's technically a head-drop move, so maybe it's been adjudged to dangerous to use.

Orton/Shelton, Orton/Edge, Christian's Challenge
King Cucaracha replied to Zack Malibu's topic in The WWE Folder
If they've thought about turning Flair, then the Harley Race segment might have been the start. Everyone who watched Mania saw that Flair respects Race, and there's a future there that the majority of fans know about already. Flair could get mad at Orton for spitting in Race's face and disrespecting legends, and tell him about it. And then Batista and Orton turn on him. I wouldn't be surprised to see that happen personally, if Orton wasn't in two mini-feuds already. -
And there's your catchphrase right there. Kudos on promoing, and for getting in some solid character development. And hopefully this belt gives you a boost as it seems to be doing already.
