So Cena runs in on Torrie/Dupree. Wow. I never saw THAT one coming.
-
Not that the old one was a masterpiece, but that is pretty horrible.

See, that's why the term hoss comes up in these smark/anti-smark debates all the time. This isn't a hoss debate. It's a BATISTA debate. This discussion isn't 'pro-hoss'. Nobody here is 'pro-hoss'. You can't be 'pro-hoss' without liking guys like Nathan Jones and P.N News. Same way you can't be 'anti-hoss' without hating Vader and Stan Hansen. It's not different to saying you're pro-cruiserweight, and then saying you hate Billy Kidman. Only it's cool to 'hate hosses'.

The Olympic Slam? That was always a great finisher when sold properly, even in the early days of Angle. Same for the Fame-Asser, which again was pretty good when sold properly... Which was basically Dace's point, which I agree with. Same with Trivia's. People bitch about RVD losing to DDT's now...yet it used to be a feared finisher. A lot of the credibility in finishers is in how they're built. ROH for example. You have matches where two guys are hitting 6 or 7 different head-drop variations on each other and coming up with different moves each week...you can't really end a match like that with say a superkick. It depends on the company. Saying that, Edge's Spear blows goats.

Wait...if this is a 'challenge' and not a work, then Inoki would be challenging WWE wrestlers to shoot fight his guys...right? Yep, he's insane.
-
*applauds* Nice stuff...a little humour goes a long way, plus it puts over how important the win was to you. Plus you show that Sly has sex. A good character trait for sure.

SWF Storm Card, April 30th

Flik...new stats will be up in roughly...48 seconds. Cheers. -
Well, I'm a big fan of Van Nistelrooy's...but I don't think he should be on in Shearer's place, especially after the goal he scored against Chelsea on Sunday. And Howard's only played half United's games this season, now Carroll's pushed his way in...Friedel's been impressive this season, and actually scored a goal, so I'd put him in his place. And this from a United fan... Oh, and if Henry doesn't win Footballer Of Year, it'll be a travesty.

A wrestler retiring of their own free will? Nah!

I got this the other day myself, seeing as the last one I got was the 2001 edition. Sting as number 1 surprised me, until I realised it went on how they ranked in previous PWI 500's...

One and Only Raw Thread for 4/26/04

Remember when Rock and Taker won the Tag belts? Remember how quickly they dropped them back to E&C(?)? I'm smelling a rematch this week, or at the very least the decision being over-ruled and the belts going back to Naitch and Batista like Spiff said. -
Initial thoughts... Congrats to Sly. SPIKE WINS!?! OMG!?! Very nice match from Crow. Thank you to Alan for writing a great match. Great stuff man. Congrats, I guess, to Coy. Although I fear you won by no-show. Not sure who wrote the tag match, although I'm assuming it was Toxxic/Liston just because of who won what. All I'll say is it was crazy wicked. Zenon/Kibs is also awesome. Congrats to Kibs. Flesher wins a ladder match. Great stuff from him. AND DURAN IS DA CHAMP~! Congratulations man, that was an awesome match. More in-depth stuff once I return from school...which I am late for...

Chalk up another vote for Fully Loaded. I'm surprised that didn't get a slot, when Unforgiven did...which was possibly the worst event of the year IMO.

But Stevie and Victoria haven't been together for a month or two now. They just mysteriously dropped their relationship when Victoria turned face. Yeah, Stevie is a heel. Coach brought up the whole Victoria not being aorund him thing last time I watched, and Stevie was playing heel. Then again, allignment isn't that important to guys on Stevie's level, so it's hard to tell.

Ah, quit yer bitchin, Maddix; I was in the fed for a full year before I got my first non-kayfabed win on PPV. You're a good writer, and you're ahead of the curve, as far as I'm concerned. Really? *laughs at WC* Oh, and...thanks for the compliment.
-
Well, it wasn't a one shot deal then. Looks surprisingly decent for Heat. I'll have to try and watch it...on Wednesday, when it's shown over here.
-
Well...my shitty match has been sent in. Lets just say that Clark's all but won, and my PPV record is still without a win. On the plus side, I've realised how valuable commentary is in matches, so maybe this'll make my future matches a little better. Still...I'm not happy with myself. So, as such... *kicks Spike in the balls*

Will Christopher... ...that rich dude that stole your girlfriend last summer. Deal with it. Yeah, that sucks. Landon Maddix owns all of these names...

Bossman/Bull vs D'Lo/Godfather from WM2000 smokes anything The Bashams have done in the WWE. And that's saying something.
-
Still, I could have SWORN it said Saturday 24th. Damn I suck.
-
Wha...the deadline is TOMMOROW? I was SURE it was tonight. Well, in that case I might very well be able to show. Err...well...I look stupid...so... *runs away*

It's not like he's never had a decent match either. Since SurSer Batista's had quite a few decent/half-decent matches.
-
Classic. Styles was a pretty solid announcer...the 'Oh My God' got cliched, but that was to be expected I guess once the fans caught on. He was humourous and could carry a whole event commentating on his own, which is probably pretty damn hard. Oh, and he'd call the action. Shock horror.
