  1. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Wrestli...g_Entertainment or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Wildlif...viation_dispute More information about the WWF/WWE problems.
  2. I know it was listed in a mid-90s magazine made by WWF, so it may be biased... But there was a Michaels/Jannetty cage match back in the day. Was that any good?
  3. Yeah...and Monsoon even messes up Martel's name, calling him "The Model" Ric Flair.
  4. World Wrestling Federation is never bleeped. WWF they either cut out the sentence that uses WWF or they just cut off the F from it, like... "Anything can happen in the WW" and then they START to say F, but it's either cut completely or they just catch the first part of the F.
  5. Exactly the reason I waited for eternity until I came across an original Wrestlemania X-Seven on DVD. I could have picked up one of the History of Wrestlemania DVD sets, but once the Attitude era kicks in, you have blurry WWF logo's everywhere. Try as I might, I can't help but be a little distracted by blurry turnbuckles, logos, tshirts, and belts. Personally, I always found it a little dumb that only the scratch-style WWF logo had to be blurred per the Wildlife Fund lawsuit. Well, they also blur out when you have the letters WWF like how I just typed it on a screen. As evidenced in the DVD of the 1991 Royal Rumble after Sgt. Slaughter wins the title. Hmmm, that's interesting. I haven't noticed them editing-out the old block-style logo. They don't edit out the block logo. They just edit out when it's typed out WWF like how I just typed it out.

  7. OK, with recently having more free time than I used to, I've been going through the WrestleManias and Royal Rumbles in chronological order. I'm currently on WrestleMania VI, the DiBiase/Roberts match. During the match, Jesse Ventura completely ignores the match, more concerned about the fans doing The Wave (as well as periodically making joking insults about Gorilla Monsoon having eaten too many hot dogs) than the match. What are some other examples of this happening?
  8. Double post there. Don't know what happened.
  9. With the recent release of the Summerslam DVD box set (and me STILL hoping for a Survivor Series one soon), there's something I've been wondering. For Survivor Series and Summerslam, which were the first of either event that was on DVD? I already know that WrestleMania XV and Royal Rumble 2000 were the first of those respective events on DVD. Reason I'm asking is because, if I can, I'm going to try to get the old WWF logos of those events, so I don't have to worry too much about "Bluramania"
  10. Honestly...that's more variety than nowadays, when some wrestlers will wrestle each other for months on end. I am kinda surprised they never went further with Duggan/Brown. EDIT: Then again, I'm also suprised that I think they never went the route of having a Junkyard Dog/Hercules chain match...
  11. I figure they did that for the same reason that they changed "Wrestlers" to "Superstars"
  12. I have to wonder after watching WrestleMania V again... Did they ever have a continuation with "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan and Bad News Brown? I could see, if it were 10 years later, a hardcore match between the two given how their Mania V match ended (Duggan with the 2x4, Brown with a chair)
  13. Lego Batman was fun (I beat it). Kinda dissapointed that the two secret characters were Hush and Ra's Al Ghul...and there was no super-secret character like Superman or something like that in the game. I have the DS version too, and after I deal with some of the other DS games I have, I'll give that one a try.
  14. I'll wait until Kizarny is in the ring to hate on him. He could be the worst promo person in the world, but if he can wrestle at least and not botch a lot or at least make his in-ring stuff entertaining, then that's good enough.
  15. <JR>There's only been one Undertaker <Me>Except at Summerslam 1994...
  16. Well, they stopped calling their people wrestlers and started to call them Superstars. So now, they've also decided to stop calling their viewers fans and call them the WWE Universe.
  17. Were those emergency tights that they gave Zeke? I'm also wondering what, if anything, these Helms pop-ups will lead to. The announcers don't really mention anything about them...
  18. Maybe it's me, but now I'm wondering if they'll do Big Show meeting Khali again in the Royal Rumble match. ... *Waits to see if ANYONE replies in this thread.
  19. I'll start up the Smackdown Thread here. Second jobber Show messed with looked like a skinny Ricky Steamboat. Liked Greg's pop-up for "sideburns" (AKA Jobber #3)
  20. I'm glad they didn't try to do a COMPLETE overhaul of the uniforms. Though I am surprised they kept the miniskirts.... EDIT: Also, the Enterprise bridge kinda reminds me of the Enterprise bridge from the first Star Trek movie.
  21. The new Survivor Series logo reminds me of the logo for WWF Invasion...if just for the huge V's.
  22. There's alos a possibility of Tatsunoku vs. Capcom getting a US release.
  23. Nah. Then he wouldn't need Hornswoggle or the weapon to win the match.
  24. All right...so who will people vote for? And I find it funny this thread got more posts during show than Raw did last night.
  25. Johnny Nitro chant!
