    Trivia

    1. I'll go with Yoko, although I'm not sure if he worked in the AWA...I think he did 3. Sgt. Slaughter 4. Bill DeMott 5. Wahoo McDaniels? He gave Tatanka his head dress during Tatanka's feud with IRS in spring 94
  2. "Brett Heart Sux"
  3. The episode of Gillagin's Island where they almost get off the island but there's a miscommunication and Gillagin is blamed.
  4. You know what would save you a lot of hassle in the long-run when it comes to copy-protected tapes? Buy the masters. Seriously, try eBay for some WWF tape lots. You can sometimes find 10 or 20 tapes for auction as a single item, with the average price of a single tape being FAR cheaper than it would ever sell for individually. I'm talking in the $2-$4 range.
  5. I have mixed feelings about Season 6. Loved the Trio ... loved Evil Willow ... didn't care for Dawn's social issues ... can't stand to watch the whole Buffy / Spike relationship (disturbing much?). "And here's the scene where Spike nails Buffy from behind on the balcony at the Bronze...And here's the scene where Spike nails Buffy outside of the Doublemeat Palace...And here's the scene where Buffy treats Spike like shit..." Lovely. I gotta get me one of those relationships!
  6. Flair and Shawn SHOULD get a 4 disc. I hear Bret's trying to produce his own DVD. Last I heard, positive talks were going on between he and the WWE about Bret gaining the rights to his footage in the WWF and WCW. I hope he gets the 10 disc treatment.
  7. I rented that from Blockbuster about a week or so ago. Very ... odd.

    Trivia

Rick Rude Kensuki Sasaki Bret Hart; Monday Night Raw building up to WrestleMania XII Triple H ... or Jean Paul Levesque as he was then known Bret Hart Randy Savage ... semi-finals of the U.S. title tournament 95 - Gene Okerlund / the Big Bossman following Bossman's actions during the Sting / Avalanche match ... Bossman tried tearing his shirt but it was giving him trouble so he said "shit", "fuck", something like that and Okerlund said "Hey, pal, you can't say that on TV! I'll have you sent out of here in a minute!", something to that effect. The 96 edition was Pillman / Heenan which most people are aware of already. Pillman was fighting Eddie ... rolled to the floor ... roughed up Heenan, to play up his "Loose Cannon" persona, and Heenan went off on him. Madusa Ric Flair and Carlos Colon A week or two prior, Marty Jannetty made his return after a 9 month hiatus and the altercation with Michaels during WWF Superstars saw HBK's manager, Sensational Sherri, smashed in the head with the giant mirror ... so he was without Sherri for the match and had to deal with the looming problem of Jannetty, who was very much pissed off

  10. 2. Rick Rude 3. Kevin Nash 4. Brian Pillman; he lost a Loser Leaves Town match to Barry Windham 5. Essa Rios 6. Konnan and Paul Diamond both played the role ... one of them? 7. Flair was at one point ... there were others 8. Ciclope 9. Mr. Wrestling? 10. Vader, Kane, Mankind
  11. Here's the full card. I know the match order is a bit off... WWF @ New York City, NY - Madison Square Garden - November 30, 1991 El Matador pinned Kato Texas Tornado pinned the Bezerker Jim Duggan pinned the Barbarian Virgil pinned Skinner The Nasty Boys defeated the Rockers IRS pinned the Big Bossman after the Mountie came ringside WWF IC Champion Bret Hart pinned the Mountie with an elbow off the middle turnbuckle Hulk Hogan defeated Ric Flair via disqualification after Flair used a pair of brass knuckles, given to him by Mr. Perfect

    Trivia

5, 6, and 8 are correct. Heenan / Pillman is correct but there is another ... Flair is correct but there is another. Although Drose did beat Triple H via DQ during the Free For All prior to the 96 Rumble, by "free TV" I meant one of the weekly shows.
  15. Why don't we have a 30-minute classic between Trish Stratus and Victoria. Dragon suplexes ... powerbombs off the top rope ... Inziguris ... planchas to the floor, etc. And then the winner can spank the loser and tear her clothes off.

    Trivia

    1. Who attacked the British Bulldog during the November 93 Clash of the Champions? 2. When Rick Rude faced Dustin Rhodes for the U.S. title on WCW Worldwide (the match that resulted in the title being held up for several months) - who was Rhodes' originally scheduled opponent for that bout? 3. Who gave Triple H his first free TV loss? 4. During his brief TV title reign, what current WWE star did Larry Zbyzsko lose to via count-out due to Lord Steven Regal's distraction? 5. Who did Virgil warn after his bout at the 1992 Survivor Series? 6. Who did Steve Austin lose to in his final TV match in WCW? 7. At both the January 95 and 96 Clash of the Champions, an explative was clearly heard. Name the two wrestlers and broadcasters involved in the incidents. 8. Who interrupted the marriage ceremony between Col. Parker and Sensational Sherri? 9. What wrestlers participated in both Starrcade 83 and Royal Rumble 93? 10. Why could it be said that Shawn Michaels was at a mental disadvantage going into his title match with the British Bulldog at the final SNME?
  17. I was always a fan of the Acolytes - as a team and individually. Weren't the most technically sound but when it came to the WWE, there were few guys that were more stiff in the ring (big ass former football players that are stiff in the ring = uber entertaining). And Jeff Jarrett. Jeff Jarrett rules the school.
  18. I believe when Raven was involved (and the leader) it was referred to as the Dead Pool. That was July - August 99 and right as it was gaining momentum Raven jumped back to ECW.
  19. One of the highlights of 2002 ... and there weren't many.
  20. Oh god, I can see it now. Nash patronizes everyone via the microphone and only puts himself over. Nash: "It's Tommy Dreamer and Steven Richards - a main event in any city in the world! This is a match of the year candidate in the making! A lock up - OH MY - A HELLACIOUS HEADLOCK!!!! These boys are pulling out all the stops! Dreamer off the ropes ... OH MY! WHAT A MANEUVER! The cover ... 1 ... 2 ... 3! OH NO, HE KICKED OUT! HA HA! (I don't know...he goes into Vince McMahon mode)" Then after 30 seconds, he goes to the ring and lays both guys out before cutting a 15 minute promo about ... well, nothing. But the marks love every minute of it.
  21. I had it for a weekend when I had my cable hooked up. Think instead of Nora Jones or Michelle Branch, it's all Styxx or Journey. Pretty entertaining as I remember.
  22. It's been years since I've made copies; I think most of the tapes I ended up getting masters of. As I remember, I had problems with Rumble 89 and Survivor Series 87. It could have just been that specific copy of the tape or maybe it was copy protected - not sure. Everything else I never had a problem with (and that's about 85% of all the CHVs).
  23. 1. I'm leaning towards Jericho or Benoit ... Jericho? 2. Shawn Michaels 3. Ole Anderson 5. I've never heard it referred to anything other than a side suplex; from what I've seen, he only used it in 92 into mid 93 ... in the later part of 93 he added a flying clothesline and a piledriver to his list of finishers 9. Doug Furnas & Phil LaFon? 10. Earthquake
  24. Hey guys, c'mon now ... let's give Ms. Lopez a break ... after all, we shouldn't be fooled by the rocks that she's got - remember that she's still, she's still Jenny from the block.
  25. Oh, so FX is the name of that channel? I thought it was the M.A.S.H Network.
