Does anyone know when JLU's new season is supposed to air in Canada? It's not on the Friday schedule for the fall (that I could see over on www.zannen.ca ) so it's either on at a different time or Canada is falling back into being well behind the US airings after a season of being ahead.

If you find the time to not post here and not play one of your hundred arcade machines, you should write a SF Plot Guide. I don't care for the one I read there and you seem knowledable enough to write one, perhaps with assistance from TS.

I found it odd that Rock, in his 1998-ish look, has his 2003 titantron video while Mankind, in his 1999 gear, has his 1996 tron.

THat cage match was difficult but I did it my first try (is it mandatory?). I didn't even need to Special all 3 guys, I just german suplexed one guy into the other two. They were red damage so I hurried up the cage and thankfully escaped. For some reason, the difficulty really amped up at Survivor Series. My opponents coutnered almost everything.

Yeah I decided to to just KO Edge. Some tag matches I'm fine with but for some reason the particulat battle with E&C seemed more difficult. It's very sad that whoever wrote the story for this game does a much better job with the Hassan character in terms of his motivations and responses to people than the real WWE did.

My old enemy from the original DoR, Mandatory Win Tag Matches, is back with a vengeance. The game was fun while it lasted.

I'm having a difficult time with next week as there are 5 matches announced right now, not to mention the fact that and 2 of them are title matches. I'll see what I can come up with but I think I'll ignore the Angle/Eugene match in favour of the Masterlock Challenge and SD!s announced matches.

I , DrVenkman, declare this to be the official thread as I don't like the other one. Anyhow, I rented it today from one of the few video stores in the city that got the game on time and I've been enjoying it. First thing I wanted to do was go into the CAW mode and listen to Master's theme and thankfully I could... damn WM21 for being so stingy on that sort of thing. Anyway I played a bunch of exhibition matches because I did not feel like putting the time into a CAW for Story mode yet. The first match I booked was the Smarks dream match: Masters and Kenzo vs. Snitsky and Heidenreich. Fun stuff, I enjoyed it. I don't quite get the submission system though... the instructions make zero mention of it (nice) so I just go by what it says on screen. I gather if the opponent guesses which decision you make, the move is broken, which is fine, but I noticed that even when I selected "Rest Hold" the submission meter was going towards "Give Up"... and I wasn't pressing anything. Then if I applied it again, no meter or choices came up at all, just a victory. I loved playing as Hassan and seeing a "MODIFIED STO" sign in the crowd... must be a deal where the signs are set to include finisher names whether they sound too stupid for a sign idea or not.

My answer to Dave was Hogan vs. Andre from Mania III, but I pretty much agree with MGQ's statements (of course we were discussing the question on IRC previous to this thread being started).

I watched it this weekend for the first time with Sin City (first time as well). Needless to say, I had an awesome movie watching weekend.

I took the cheap way out this week and picked HBK/Masters/Edge/Hardy since all 4 are in Specialty Matches, albeit against each other. That should get good appearance/match/specialty match points. I kept Carlito and Angle too. I only have Kennedy and Benoit for SmackDown! this week. Next week I'll probably go big on SD! since 3 matches are already known.

I know anyone can submit anything to IMDB and if it sounds reasonably true to them they will put it in a title's info, but I would like some clarification on this issue: "The age old 'Mike Bison' rumor has actually snowballed into something of a misunderstanding over time. In the original Street Fighter release a Boxer character named 'Mike' would be encountered toward the end of the game, he has since been officially identified as a once-off character having nothing to do with the Shadolwloo boss character Balrog of the second installment in the series; Street Fighter II. Due to an infamous translation/porting problem in some of the first releases of SF2 to the west, some of the Boss characters names had been changed around (as mentioned above) this incurred push for a lawsuit from Mike Tyson's legal council at the time. However it was only due to the assumption that Balrog's 'M. Bison' moniker was referencing the previous 'Mike' character, and therefore an illegal use of his name/likeness. The lawsuit never happened as there wasn't enough premise for it in first, with Capcom having never used his name and only ever sighting the real life Boxer as an obvious inspiration for the 'Mike' & 'Balrog' characters. Vega was always intended to be a Mediterranean name for a Mediterranean fighter. Bison's 'M' has been identified as 'Major' or 'Master' depending on where you look, pending his self appointed leadership and military garb." I always believed the Mike Bison thing.
