  1. How does pinning someone to the ground for 3 seconds rectify attempted vehicular homicide / almost killing your brother / amditting to killing your parents and being responsible for the fire that scarred your opponent/brother / etc. etc. etc.?
  2. Logic states that the person Jones squashes for his debut on Thursday should NOT be someone with a match at Mania.... so expect them to do the house show circuit match of Matt Hardy vs. Nathan Jones and have Matt squashed just 3 days (in TV time) before his CW title defense. Seriously though, my bet is on Demott. Anyone else likely?
  3. From The Law: "TNN has given the WWE the green light for RAW to run over by half an hour tonight. TSN will also air the full 2 and a half hours of the program. Sportscentre will follow RAW at 11:30 and then the RAW repeat will air from midnight ‘till 2am (it’ll be interesting to see what they chop for the repeat" So, it's not me who is the liar if this is false.
  4. This just in... Raw is 2.5 hours tonight. HYPE! ROCK CONCERT! EXTRA 25 MINUTES!
  5. The show is being advertised o nTV as a 'Rock' Concert, so I expect many backstage (if not in ring) segments with Rock playing guitar. I would expect Austin to not wrestle at all (if he does, a Morley / Rico / Jamal / Rosey / A handicap match with any of those squash) and Rock to possibly get his win back over Hurricane in a rematch based on Rock's beatdown last week. HHH/Flair vs Bookdust should end with Goldust or Booker (preferably Booker) pinning Flair or HHH (or Flair) pinning Goldust. The two main guys shouldn't be taking the loss.
  6. I haven't been to Silver City (Famous Players) in almost 3 years, but it was pretty great in 2000. I won a WWF Attitude t-shirt and during Heat employees were running up and down the aisle taking concession orders for you. While Bob classifies it as "not expensive", the main reason I stopped going was the ticket price jumped from $15 to $20, and now it's even more. If you're going on your own, it's less than watching from home, but the second you go with a friend it's getting pricey. Consider this: It costs $150 for a group of 5 to go to see WrestleMania at the movie theatre, $115 more than it is at home. HOWEVER, if you look at it as an arena experience, it's much much less.
  7. I was supposed to go with some people to a WM party in Michigan, but in my circle of friends, only two of us are actually wrestling fans and only one of us knows the guy in Michigan. Well now Drew_K has decided he no longer wants to live in this city, thus severing the link between me and the casual fans he drags with him to the bar, so the party in Michigan is off and I will most likely have to sit alone at the local bar.

For whatever reason, I find Carla Gugino and Molly to look similar. I like Carla, but she wasn't on the list. I like Molly as well. As a result, I end up voting for Molly and Carla. Shania > Molly, but Carla > Shania, so Molly wins. That probably makes no sense, but that's the way it is.
  9. With Tina Fey gone, I'm backing Katherine Heigl 100%
  10. Oh, it wasn't a complaint. I was legitimately wondering how long the tallying process was.
  11. I won tickets to the first theatre PPV, Rumble 2000, and the place was sold out and it was awesome. I also went to Judgment Day that year as a birthday present, and while good, the theatre attendance had already started dropping. I've just kinda of assumed that over the past 3 years attendance has been low and therefore not as fun, but I could be wrong. As for the bar, last year at Mania it was NUTS. It didn't help that the event fell on St. Patrick's Day. Attendance really dropped off around Judgment Day. It was hard to gauge Royal Rumble since 1/2 of the bar was on the "football" side (2 big TVs), but NWO attendance was way up and people were really happy to see Austin back.
  12. So when does round 2 start?
  13. The theatre is a good idea, but I'm going to be a cheap bastard and go to the local bar and watch for the price of a hamburger.
  14. Actually, yes, the Flair flip is there. The first time I watched it I had missed it while reading or doing something else and assumed it was edited.
  15. the really weird thing is, in Canada, Cogeco is offering the PPV for $34.99 Canadian. Isn't that the same price as normal PPVs? I haven't caved in to their demands of having digital cable to watch PPV, so I don't know.
  16. I think the ending to Kane vs Angle at WMX8 is edited. I remember it looking really (REALLY) bad live, but watching the DVD it just looks "kinda sloppy". I think a different camera angle is used on the commercial release of WMX8 when Rock does the people's elbow (as the original angle showed Rock barely connecting). I THINK (this is based on memory) a botched Flair flip is edited out too. The funny thing is both of those are shown in their original form in the end of show video package.
  17. I got lucky with WMX8. I had to be at work for midnight and thankfully the show didn't use it's entire 4 hour window (just as most PPV's end at 10:45 instead of 11). Just incase there was some lingering doubt, Josh said on Velocity last night it was "extended" to 4 hours.
  18. Essa was going for the "flippity dippity arm drag", I believe, but fell down... I think. Either way it was running towards the ropes while holding Eddie's hand. The funny thing about the Jericho edit at SummerSlam is that the first show has Rhyno irish whipping him away from the entrance way edited together with him being thrown in that direction. Sloppy. Oh, BTW Bob, I also thought the Allied Powers music was cool.
  19. I THINK it was to Chris Jericho, but that's just thinking of recent angles. Either way, it was hilarious. As mentioned in another thread, one of my favourite moments from 2002 was from Vengeance (from Detroit, keep in mind). "Edge was in attendance at WrestleMania III... sorry, that was WM VI, WMIII was held right here in Chicago"
  20. bob barron said I could probably start a thread of edits since 2000 if it wasn't for the fact I probably wouldn't remember anymore. Most recently (haven't seen Armageddon and probably wouldn't realize something being edited out), Survivor Series edited out Rico yelling at Jeff Hardy for missing his cue. Going back a few years, WMX-7 has a different camera angle for Eddie falling off the ring apron (although it's still somewhat visible in the corner) and I believe it shortens the amount of time Test was stuck in the ropes. The commercial release for Backlash 2000 removes a blown spot by Essa Rios (replaced with a shot of Chyna on the outside). That's off the top of my head...
  21. Vince's shirt at No Way Out, which stated that he would do "NOTHING" when Hulkamania runs wild on him (ie lay down and job) and said that "Brother SUCKS". Brother SUCKS must have really hurt Hogan's feelings.... The whole Steiner / HHH match at the same show. 10 minutes of hilarity. Steiner kicking HHH in the back of the leg only to fall on his own ass was priceless, as was the next night on Raw where JR blamed Steiner's poor reaction to the US Flag on his tights. As mentioned before, Test getting caught in the ropes at WMX7 and Viscera slipping during a hardcore walk in. The leader of the lesbian protestors breaking out in laughter while trying to deliver her lines to Bischoff. Mr. Perfect's promo from WM9, "The Larcisist.. Loucsisit..... whoever Mean Gene" or something like that. Rico yelling very loudly at JEff Hardy not being on time to knock him off the top rope (which sadly was edited from the DVD).
  22. ^ used to write on the same site as me (twice!)
  23. Did everyone go to that Sont TV website and vote for NewsRadio on DVD? I didn't have time to read all the older posts but I randomly clicked on page 12 and it seemed that it was mentioned.
  24. If you say it's interesting, then I guess it's interesting.
  25. I couldn't even listen to Byte This to hear this big announcement. I was listening to theme music being played before 4pm est with a green screen, then a Rock/Hurricane promo was playing. I figured if I downloaded WMP 9 like the website says I'm supposed to, the green screen would be replaced by video. Well, I do that, install, get the codecs, install, click on Byte This... NOTHING. Now nothing plays. Stupid WMP and stupid WWE.com (none of the videos on the site will work for me... though the rarely did in the past)
