This was the first college football game I've seen in a long time in its entirety, and I have to say I found it pretty stupid. The UFC would be bigger morons not to put that on free TV. No one knows who BJ is of the new TUF generation, but people will tune in for an introduction on free TV. Like stated earlier, Hughes' title fight is a money match and in my opinion a potential main event. The TV shows are built for matches like this; big contender eliminator bouts, while the PPV's generally should be built around title matches. About GSP doing Karate; he's most dangerous and probably most well known for his great hands due to boxing training. Like someone said before, in KK they don't allow punches to the head (though I thought they allowed kicks to the head/face), so don't expect a KK revival anytime soon. Ditto for Shogun, but think of muay thai rather than boxing. Just because that jumping roundhouse looked cool, I'm not gonna go out and start doing Capoiera or whatever that shit is.

I don't think you could call it feeding Diaz to Diego since most expected Diaz to win, and this was definitely the toughest test any TUF fighter had faced. I think it was just a tough fight for both, as it was also a way to try and build a base of Latino fans. Whether it worked or not remains to be seen.

Got UFC 53 along with a two pack with 45 and 46 for Christmas. It's weird seeing them build up Hughes-Penn like it's gonna be something special, when most assumed it would be like every other Matt defense. I guess they lucked out that Penn did dominate, because if he didn't the card would have been a lot worse (considering what happened in the ME) and also all the hype for the fight would have been what it seemed like beforehand, laughable. Looking forward to seeing the undercard for this one as I only saw Karo-GSP and that was good. Heard some declare Franca-Thompson as FOTY, by some I mean Mr. Blue. 45 is underrated, lots of solid fights. Also burnt 52. My favourite UFC show as well.
