It was a thread started by Phil Baroni, the title being "Hey Ivan Trembow" The post being: "Suck a dick just a message from your friendly neighbourhood bad ass" There was a line at the end like later or something, but that whole thing was just hilarious in how lame it was, it's like Trembow wrote a concise, well-written article about why Phil Baroni shouldn't have been signed by PRIDE, so Baroni one ups him by telling him to suck a dick. Everything about that post was funny. My description was based on his post Menne KO spiel. Lindland posts (or used to I think) on Sherdog so it makes more sense. He made one hilarious video with Phil Baroni, I doubt it's stillup though.

I'd say it's pathetic about them picking through garbage, but they netted five grand through the deal. It's still pathetic, but five grand for one hour's work is a pretty sweet deal, well not even an hour.

For those of you so worried about death, do you think that this life is it? Because from what I've noticed most people that do not, don't fear death at all because they know something about the afterlife that I don't apparently.

The thing I like about the wild card is that it allows whatever team is behind that perennial powerhouse a chance to compete every year. It's not really fair to potentially be the second best team in baseball and not have a chance to go to the playoffs.

But how can you still like the team after they move? Most people I know stop caring for a team once it's not a part of their city anymore. Like the Phoenix Coyotes, Indianapolis Colts, etc. Okay, I know that MLB doesn't want interleague play all year long which explains the "15 and 15" thing, but WHY don't they? Is it because they've always done it like that, so that's just the way it is? The only thing I can think of would be to make the World Series feel special, but most people seem to pay more attention, or have in recent years, to the CS probably BECAUSE those teams played each other throughout the year.

In all seriousness, I think Overreem poses a big problem since he's rangey and is very technical, as opposed to Shogun who is sloppy. I also think Overreem is better on the ground than Shogun, which really isn't that impressive.

This was actually the cover of that bastion of conservative journalism, the Toronto Sun a few days back. The girl in question was on the cover herself. It's kind of messed to think that the person you're looking at might be in trouble at that very moment.

I never said Jackson was a shitty fighter, but mentally he's pretty messed up right now. You can't deny that. He is thinking of changing teams as well. He's at a crossroads in his career. Shogun beating him is impressive. BUT one fight is just that, one fight. His standup from what I've seen is pretty sloppy, although you can't deny the results. I think Cro Cop would murder him, because the agression doesn't really mean much if you're all over the place. Cro Cop is a very technical striker, he'd pick apart the holes in Shogun's game pretty quickly. Hell, the reason Wanderlei survived with Cro Cop is not because he went after him, but because he was patient and picked his shots. It was his LACK of a ballsout style that caused the draw/win, depending on how you look at it.

I think Sakuraba would match up well with Overreem personally. I don't think Alistair could effectively use his range when Saku's taking him down at will and GnPing him. I think Arona is too big and too strong for him. Better submissions and probably wrestling due to the size. I think it's a bad matchup.

When you say favourite, you mean crowd favourite or favourite to win? Because I don't think anyone would favour Saku over Arona.

Bah, shogun is starting to be overrated. Beating Jackson is impressive, but Jackson is so messed up at this point that it's hard to really gauge how much that matters. Shogun has REALLY sloppy standup, which he makes up for with a gas tank and agression. I can't believe you think that Silva would be "lunch meat". I don't see him getting past the second round if he faces either of the BTT guys, which is what is most likely going to happen.

I was reading a book by Tim Green, called the "Dark Side of the Game" (I don't know why he called it that, it really isn't a negative book. I guess for sales). Anyway, he mentioned that a lot of players sit out training camp not because they really want more money, but because they don't wanna do training camp. They don't see the point in putting that kind of wear and tear on their bodies especially when they don't really need to be there or if they are getting up there in age. This is the main point I have about players wanting more money. If a team can automatically cut you and screw you out of money you deserve, than I see nothing wrong with holding out for more money when you know you're gonna get screwed over in the future. The Vikings didn't want Moss either, I mean it's not like he said he wouldn't come to training camp if he was a Viking. He didn't like it there, but the team ultimately made the deal to get rid of him, when they didn't have to. They aren't as good as most think, as most of the defensive pickups they've gotten are overrated. I was gonna say that the year is ripe for the Lions/Bears to take the division, because I think the other two teams aren't good at all, then I realized the Lions and Bears suck too. That's going to be the worst division in football this year.
