Why does everybody hate Banders Kennany so much?
Your Paragon of Virtue replied to a topic in No Holds Barred
Saying Kennany out loud sort of sounds like saying poonani out loud, so it's all good. -
Newsweek's story on the Kedwards campaign...

What exactly did Bush do to McCain in 2000? I have heard much about dirty political underhandedness (like that doesn't happen in every election) but I was wondering what it was specifically. -
I think the Republicans should go out and get Michael Jordan. Seriously. I don't really know what the Dems can do, Kerry was a wuss for the most part, they need someone who has a lot more conviction as to what he believes. Bush basically bitched out Kerry while Kerry just stood there and took it. If they get someone who actually seems to look confident and strong in what he does, then perhaps that could appeal to the common man, who at least wants the president to LOOK like he is a great leader. Who that would be I don't know.

One Day Left by Michael Moore

Actually, there's a program that does those image-collages. You've gotta have the source image (Bush) and the images you wanted it made out of...but there's no real work involved in it. It's like, a three minute process.. What program is this? -
I've only seen Jimmy in It's a Wonderful Life, but nothing about him struck me as the greatest of all time. He didn't really jump out at me or anything. Who do you think out of the current crop of young(er) actors will be put up on that list eventually? I think Ed Norton definitely has potential, he just needs to pick better movies.

Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal are all pretty big for that sort of thing, on account of the cheap Canadian dollar (which is RISING fast believe it or not). I loved that scene in South Park the movie where the Canadians bombed the Baldwins' house, if only because it would be way cool to do that in real life. -
LL Cool Jay, Method Man, Ice Cube, Busta Rhymes, B-Real? Okay, I understand LL Cool J, but you don't know what you're talking about here.

One Day Left by Michael Moore

Michael Moore said Bill Clinton was the best Republican president "we" ever had. Obviously that is a shock value thing, but did he actually like Clinton, or was he just making fun of the fact that he hates all Republicans, and since he hates Clinton, he must be a Republican? Why try and figure this shit out at all? -

Speaking as someone who uses it an awful lot, I can honestly say our healthcare system, much like Canada the nation, rocks. -

Hey now, Canada rocks. You can come here because of that as opposed to "Bush winning". I'd rather live here then down there, but I suppose that only makes sense. -
Screw you all for not liking Nak and Dan. Dan beat him. Beat him. FLAT OUT BEAT HIM. The shoulder injury was a direct result of Dan's crazy knees, and he didn't let up on him at all, he controlled him like fuck and finished him with a badass knee that broke his collar bone. How many other people can say that they have broken someone's collar bone with a knee on the ground like that? ONLY DAN. Even though Silva won, and my sig is awesome because he has a BIGGER chain than Rampage, I'm gonna have to find a way to get Hendo in there. He's the "I come in once a year and win convincingly yet controversially" guy now. He should go to the UFC and rock all the middleweight's faces. Silva would get beat by Couture. Couture would pin him on the ground, and had the first round been a minute longer, Rampage would have finished it. He should have done the same thing in the second round, well I guess he tried but...he died. He fell forward and hung in the ropes, that was fucked up right there. I loved how Silva let go of the Triangle. Think he saw Rampage-Arona? Arona showed that he's a different fighter now, I think he has a shot at submitting Silva, he would know how to take him down and keep him there. Couture would beat him though, there's no doubt in my mind. I love Wand too, but I just don't see him doing it. Oh well, by the time the two organizations would be able to pull it off, Couture would be retired. He's old, he's gotta stop sometime...right? I wondered why Herring was such a big favourite. Not anymore. I was rooting for Hunt the whole time, and as soon as I saw how little effort he put into get up, I knew the fight was over. James Thompson? More like LAMES Thompson. Gardner is too big for Yoshida, but can he finish him? Cro Cop/Barnett was the fight I was looking forward to the most, but it will happen again. I am not worried.

Bob sounds pretty whiny. Canadians don't hate conservatives, they just hate Americans. Our general stance is that all you suck, regardless of your political beliefs. In all seriousness though, I had two different philosophy teachers for two different kinds of courses my last year of high school, one was an extreme liberal and the other was pretty damn conservative. The liberal spent the first two weeks trying to convince of the conspiracy theory, with that bankers in Zurich crap. The conservative one harped about how wise GWB was and how great a leader he was. Guess who everyone *loved* and who everyone tried to get fired? Mad Dog; out of curiousity, what religion are you and what kind of things happened, in regard to your "got a lot of shit over it"? -

I was all ready to say "I already saw this..it was last Wednesday's episode of South Park." I hope Kerry gets elected, if only because of the MASSIVE role reversal of gov't apologists/whiners on this board. It would be HI-larious. -

Dave Mustaine isn't a legend (Oh boy I know that will steer the thread off-topic) and he sounds like a moron. I wonder how Neil Young feels, even though he is a Canadian, or Bob Dylan, or any other 60s political activist rocker really. -

Gardner? PRIDE? Twubbawho? Rulon Gardner, the Sydney Gold Medallist who almost lost his thumbs due to frostbite? I disagree with Steven on his logic sometimes, he seems to use a lot of "well, Dan could knock down Silva, and Nak ain't no Silva" and "Kevin knocked out Cro Cop, and Josh is a much better striker then Kevin." I have to say that since there are so many other factors to consider as to why these things happened, it's not accurate to just look at them as a way to measure ability. Same thing goes for Bas on Nak not being able to take down Dan. Dan was taken down by Murilo who is not nearly as strong a wrestler as he is, and also by Shungo Oyama. I think Nak has better takedowns then both those guys, so my conclusion is that it's foolish again to not take into account things like stamina, weight, momentum, etc. Nak can very well take down Dan at any point, regardless of how Bas feels. Still love those two guys though. No matter how much I warm up to Mauro, the chemistry I feel from them even only on this radio show is unreal. -

Cro Cop can leave people! DISCUSS Herring, Choi, Emilienenko, Aleksander Alistair, Hunt, Henderson, Cro Cop and SILVA~! are my picks to win. I don't want to get int omessy details about how, there are too many matches for me to be right on anything really. -
Kind of funny ithat you had to take into consideration the order of candidates, since people here will bitch about anything. I live in Canada so I'm not voting

Is I Won't Share You about Marr? I heard a rumour about that. I recently got Morrissey and Marr, The Severed Alliance. Apparently Morrissey, after reading it, wished for the death of the author. Sounds like a winner to me.
-
Simply, his comments deserve nothing more than being brushed off as that of some whining little hippie bitch. The gist of Morrissey's gripes: "I'm being mildy inconvenienced. This is obviously Bush's fault. My fans should vote for Kerry since I think he'll make U.S. security more lax. (By implication of the comment about the officers) Bush = Hitler LOL2004)." If you've changed your mind over a candidate because Morrissey is being held up an extra hour when he enters or exits the country, you're a dumbass, plain and simple. There are far, far better reasons to vote for Not-Bush. Besides, if you're a Morrissey fan, you aren't voting for Bush anyway, so this entire thread is pointless. Thank you for continuing to prove Inc's point. How can you hate the title track? It's certainly not horrible, it's just a sappy ballad for vegetarians. Not that bad, I'd give it a 6 if I were into rating songs, but there's a thread for that. I also like MIM better then SHWC. I don't think the debut self titled album gets enough love, even though it's not as good as the others, it's still pretty damn good, which speaks to the Smiths ability more then anything else. What other Morrissey albums should I get then? I really like You Are the Quarry, even if the production on it is a little too glossed over for my liking. A-side? I just listened to the albums like most other people these days. How is it split up on vinyl, assuming that is what you're talking about when it comes to SHWC. From what I've seen, AoO likes Metal and Prog. Morrissey/Smiths are very much neither. I was watching a live version of Shoplifters, and either Morrissey has the worst security in the world, or all the countless men that run up to kiss him are paid to do it. Yeah.

That's pretty coolm, even thought technically he's not a 'real' fighter. Which gym you train at, and how is he coming along? I am gonna train wrestling and BJJ soon, in two different GTA (Greater Toronto Area for those not in the know) clubs. I can't wait for that. I will just use my Bas Rutten big Book of Combat Volume One when learning how to strike -
Well, you're a loser. Contrary to what Edwin said, I would like to discuss "You are the Quarry". Stellar album I say, I never actually got into any of his other solo stuff before this, I was mainly a Smiths fan. My favourite Smiths song changes all the time, so nothing to say there. Right now, I'll just say "Shoplifters..."

Next ROTR card: Wes Sims vs Antoni Hardonk BJ Penn vs Rodrigo Gracie Carter Williams vs Tom Howard Royler Gracie vs Kazuyuki Miyata Cabbage Correria vs Yoshihiro Nakao Sean O'Hare vs Shungo Oyama Kirk Kipapa vs Spencer Canup Faliniko Vitale vs Kristof Midoux Luciano Noguiera vs Danny Steele Ross Ebanez vs Nathan Diaz Kaynan Kaku vs Gilbert Melendez That's right, it's the one you're all thinking of. Didn't know where else to post this, and didn't think it was worthy of its own thread. Wes Sims tried out for Tough Enough, so I guessed that's like 1.5 AMERICAN pro wrestlers on this show. It looks like a solid card anyway, and apparently Sean has been training in muay thai so let's hope that he knocks Shungo the fuck out in Round One. -

Spend Halloween Night with Satan... er.. Silva
Your Paragon of Virtue replied to RavishingRickRudo's topic in General Wrestling
This fight all depends on takedowns. If Cro Cop's takedown defense is good for this match, he should win, either by KO or decision. If Barnett's takedowns are good, he should be able to win by sub or decision. Very tought match to call, but I'm going with Cro Cop. As for Rampage/Silva, everybody wants Rampage to win, but Silva should still take it. Everyone but me that is. I am looking forward to Silva fulfilling his prediction of "Quinton becoming his next Sakuraba." The lack of stamina is what I mean by not taking him seriously. Mirko has never shown signs of gassing, even in his long, drawn out marathon fights (the ones that go past the first round). Found on the same page, the actual interview with PPH is here: I agree with RRR on how good the card will be, and I even think it has GCE(Greatest Card Ever) potential. Of course, the same can be said for every latest PRIDE event. One more piece of interesting news (yet again on the same magical front page at PPH):
