How did LT react afterwards? I've heard about this, but it's too far before my time for me to have seen it. Vick stands out for me. Once he went down, the Atlanta Falcons went down. Period.

This thing is constantly talked about. I always hear about it, but never had the time to sit down in front of showcase or whatever to watch it. Canada loves it. Is it pretty much Fubar: The TV Series?

To add to this, my knee/calf/shin is banged up from rugby today, and I have been limping since. I couldn't even walk home afterwards, I needed a ride. This all happened on one play too. BEFORE THE FUCKING GAME EVEN STARTED~!

Without even having heard it, I can name off four albums that are eons better than this one could ever wish to be, namely because of how awful Slipknot is. -Dream Theater's Metropolis Pt. II: Scenes From A Memory (2000) -Black Label Society's 1919 Eternal (2002) -Shadows Fall's Of One Blood (2000) -Iron Maiden's Dance Of Death (2003) Good to know that Slipknot hasn't evolved past the "I hate my life" stages like even KoRn, the kings of "I hate my life" nu-metal, has. Hint on how to read my post: I've never heard a Slipknot album ever I just feel bad knowing that everybody assumed that I just listen to that stuff. It's like no one expected me to have taste. BAH~! I have the Scenes from New York DVD bitch. I know how good Metropolis is.

I never heard Penn say that. He trashed creationists, to be sure --- but who can blame him? -=Mike It was at a live show from what I remember. Just basically called Christians stupid the whole time for believing in religion and God and such. I mean, I bash my fellow Christians as much as anyone else, but a line has to be drawn before a guy is just an asshole who is speaking out of said asshole. Creationists try to claim that more faith is required to believe in evolution rather than creationism. I don't see it.

Agreed to the max. The album is chockful of melodically tinged metal that will rip off your balls while stroking your penis at the same time. Best album of the year so far. No, scratch that. Best album of the ZEROES so far. No album in the past four years touches this. Truly inspiring and uplifting, all the while acknowledging the very realistic pain that one needs to shed. Beautiful.

When I first saw the thread I thought it was a dissection of Mikey Moore's filmography LOL2004~! Seriously though, I've never heard of this show, but I've seen that guy in the ponytail be a complete asshole to people, to the point of sometimes it not being funny. When he went on a rant about how all Christians are stupid brainwashed idiots, well, I wasn't offended because I don't really care about what he has to say but it just seemed a tad ignorant to me.

Yeah really... By that argument, Mike should be renamed to "Eagan4SC" Wow, that was Anglesaultian in its utter irrelevance. Bravo! Dissent in the Republican party? Hardcore white-washed conservatives collide, TONIGHT~!

Brett Favre is my favourite player in any sport. It's all been said before so I won't go on.

Yeah, seriously. But what else do you expect from a forum where there's a longass thread asking people if they would or wouldn't do random strangers? I mean that's not that bad I guess, but in this context a line should be drawn. -

Just to say, Gomi was at the last Bushido show, and made quick work of Wandy Jr. Have the Gracies been having bad luck recently or what? -
Preview of whats to come in 'Farenheit 911'
Your Paragon of Virtue replied to edotherocket's topic in Television & Film
Upon reading the synopsis of the Alex Jones film, it doesn't sound exactly like Moore's new film. They're both Anti- Bush, but the approaches are different, and the movies are different. OMG THEY COVER THE SAME TOPIC AND BOTH HAVE 911 IN THE NAME THEY MUST BE THE SAME~! You got that information from the site that RELEASED JONES' FILM AND SELLS IT TODAY AT A PRICE! Don't you think that it might be a *tad* biased in its dismissal of Moore's film? Just a *tad*? -
I don't remember ever interacting with FS before, but he's bashed me twice in this thread. I must be doing something right. I don't know why I quoted that post really.

But that's a particular position, not a universal one. The Church has never condemned all wars, but has believed that they should justified. The Pope believes that this war wasn't justified, many Roman Catholics believe that it has been. This is not the same thing. But when you go against fundamental beliefs, like abortion, then that's going against a universal position in Catholicism, which I guess you would call reverance for life or something. I don't have the exact words on it now, but that's essentially it. Like someone else pointed out, it's sort of hypocritical for them to do that yet not to excommunicate people who believe in the Death Penalty. Not saying the death penalty can't be justified, but I don't believe it's possible from a Catholic point of view.

They can't control the fact that we can watch it on TV, but last I remember mixed martial arts competition is banned in Canada. There are ways around it with loopholes and technicalities and such, but yes, banned for the most part. If it weren't you would have probably seen a UFC in Canada by now. Hell, a lot of states still ban MMA, which is why the UFC has to go to Las Vegas and Conneticut and places like that so much. -

Oh yeah, I hate Bob Sapp, and I like Fujita's warrior spirit. I predicted him to win the fight since I still think Sapp is a joke and would get beat by someone whose within about one hundred pounds (which still isn't close but whatever, he's a joke). All I can say is: FU-JI-TA! FU-JI-TA! FU-JI-TA! That's what I'd be chanting anyway. Odds are the Japanese would look at me like I'm an idiot, than follow suit. Hooray for cultural acceptance. -

There's no billboards around here, but MMA is illegal in Canada. I guess not enough people have died while fighting. -

My post wasn't really about the UFC being idiots but rather that EVERYONE was picking Ludwig to win. I guess they saw "K-1" thought "striking" and totally ignored that this was an MMA card. The fact is that Ludwig's chances to win were so much higher after the UFC dropped Penn, because people thought that since the UFC was afraid of Penn losing, that he probably WOULD lose. Common sense was thrown out sez I. Everyone has a chance, but this had just gotten ridiculous. Regarding the UFC, I believe that they should have kept Penn, because win or lose it would make them look classless by dropping him, as it did. Besides, even if they wanted to drop him, at least wait till AFTER the fight. The biggest problem here is the UFC itself however, as they don't understand that their pay towards the fighters is low compared to Japan. Spend money to make money. At UFC 43, Lindland got paid like what, five grand? The best middleweight you have now that Busta had left (Second verse same as the first), and you pay him a lower amount than guys that he's beaten decisively. This reminds me of politics in a way; one group wants to set an example for the guy that leaves, who is the problem, by just cutting him and sending a message to anyone else who wants to do the same. The other group realizes that the underlying problem is deeper and more complicated than that, in that it's the company, since if you spent money in the right place the fighters wouldn't leave, you'd look like a class organization, more guys would come in and you'd probably make more money too. I'll leave it up to you to decide where to stick the "conservative" and "liberal" label on there. -

Why would anyone pick Ludwig? He's totally one-dimensional, and the only reason he beat Pulver was because Pulver was cocky and wanted to trade. He has good enough wrestling skills that he should have taken the fight to the ground and finished him there. -
At church on Sunday, we had a priest who told us that if you don't believe in everything the church says, you cannot recieve communion, nor will you make it into heaven or even purgatory. Hm. Whether you like it or not, that is ALL church's teachings. If you don't agree with them, then you shouldn't RECEIVE communion. -=Mike Uhhh, no. The communion part you're correct. But about purgatory, there are so many issues about mortal and venial sin that should be taken into effect, and believing in gay marriages is not a mortal sin, nor is being refused communion against your own will. Abortion may be a different story though. Oh and the death penalty thing, I'm pretty sure the Church condemns it. We are supposed show reverance for human life, and it's not our place to punish someone with death. Self-defence is different, as is Augustine's five reasons for war justification.

Oyveh, that's nothing to feel guilty about. Lots of hair metal and prog metal. Not that I ever buy any albums, but I'm a big fan of all the cheesy singles like "Wanted Dead Or Alive" and such. Except for Dream Theater, I think I have all of their CDs with James Labrie on vocals plus the DVD. That would be it. I have the Walk To Remember soundtrack.

What's up with your life right now?
Your Paragon of Virtue replied to Your Paragon of Virtue's topic in General Chat
I find it weird how old most of you seem to be. I pictured you guys being like in your late twenties for the most part, but when I hear that a guy like Edwin is 21 and AoO is only 22, I scratch my head. I am now playing three songs for the festival at my music school in June, a couple which they only gave me today. As if I needed anymore stress....
