The Bills are worse than any of those NFC North teams (almost typed Central). Their offense has scored less points than the Dolphins and over twelve games their defense has allowed only about thirty fewer points. BUT THEY ARE SIX GAMES AHEAD OF THEM HOW THE FUCK DOES THAT HAPPEN! The weirdest thing is, they could just as easily be 8-4 right now, taking the Broncos and Cowboys games into consideration. To make things even worse, they have one of the easiest schedules to end the season, with the only real challenge being the Browns (I'm not sold on the Giants, especially at home, and the Eagles are not that impressive either). It's possible that they could make the playoffs. Holy crap.

The Bills may be the worst .500 team in sports right now. Seriously.

For Your Consideration

Common thread between all the fights; lightweight division. Fuck yeah I'm glad they brought it back. Hendo/Silva was also awesome, as was Hendo/Rampage. I can't think of many others right now. I liked seeing Lawler storm on his comeback trail and take it to Ninja. Shamrock embarrassing Baroni was also fun to watch. BJ Penn vs. Jens Pulver is also awesome, as it's pretty much just BJ at his best, doing what he does. Being a mark for BJ means I love watching that one. I need to watch it again actually. Griffin-Edgar may be my fight of the year, not sure yet, but no fight had me as pumped as: Fuck you, this fight was BOSS. Couture whooping Gonzaga can also be considered, but this one was just WOW. Talk about bringing you out of your seat from the start. It was like UFC 43 all over again, except even crazier and with the odds stacked even more against Randy. -

Seriously you guys, Gannon vs. Hinkle. Someone must have it. -
Yeah, I meant most of the fights I saw recently. I saw Pacquiao vs. Barrera I today for the first time. Talk about a one-sided beating, I'm amazed that so many people saw Barrera as the favourite considering what happened, especially because he was just getting beat to the punch every time. It was embarrassing.

Yeah, because for the past fifteen years ESPN hasn't been all over Favre's cock...
-
I don't have ESPN classic, and I haven't seen the fight myself. Sounds interesting though, based on what I know about both guys, it was pretty much just a brawl no? I've only seen these guys lose in big fights. I'd still be interested to see it, I'm sure there's a few copies floating around online.

I honestly don't remember it being that bad, but everybody complained the day after about it, about how Seattle got screwed. I just remember them getting beat, I had no care towards the outcome either. Moots how'd you find this board? Just curious.

He's lunchpail as fuck though, remember that. I doubt they'll be so harsh on him. NCM; this isn't Edwards first start, I think he actually has a 3-1 or 2-1 starting record.

It takes 4-5 years to make a good NFL QB... I know a lot of people have lost patience given how certain guys can just come in and start running things. Losman for years??!! You make it seem like he's been there for 6 years sucking shit, have some patience. Fuck, guys like Troy Aikman, John Elway, and Steve Young wouldn't be able to make it in today's high standards must win now league. Eli Manning is feeling that now. Three years dude, that's a pretty long time, especially since there's no progress and he actually seems to be getting worse. He has weapons and a decent line (better than in years past) but throws up ducks, and just seems to heave it when he feels like it. I'm more patient than most, but there's no point in waiting for a shitty QB to get even shittier. I'm glad they're going with Edwards, who got the Bill Walsh seal of approval before he kicked the bucket. Random thought: Bill Walsh also said Brees was the better pick of the draft than Vick. He was right, but it's still funny how that played out.

Decade as in the 2000's, rather than actual ten years. His QB rating last year was worse than Grossman. He's burned his team many times in the past with his INT habits (I'm thinking of the playoff loss to the Vikes in Lambeau right now, but there's many other instances). I was harsh with that line, of course he's valuable, but I wouldn't say MVP-worthy. That was the context I was speaking in. That's a different argument though. Obviously Brady had a great team around him, there's no denying that. Great players won't win it by themselves. Before this year the Pats have never had a good receiving corps. Not even great, it wasn't good. Troy Brown is a team player, but he's not very skilled. Deion Branch is a decent deep threat, but look at what happened to those guys when they left. Tom Brady was luckier than Favre in that the coaching staff/front office is remarkable where he's playing. But he's the lynchpin. Everyone is expendable on the Patriots, as we learned with the Milloy situation way back when. Everyone BUT Brady. He is the face of that team, and the one guy who Bill will not get rid of. I think this is obvious. He carries tremendous value with that organization, both on the field and off. He is the best player in the league right now, so he has the most value. Favre would probably finish in my top five, maybe even top three for the voting, and is a feel-good story. Playing in Dallas this Thursday isn't good for them though, for obvious reasons.

That NAMMAE website is awful, but it actually looks like a pretty cool event. -
He wasn't always that good though was he? I read that he blew as many plays as he made spectacular hits on, when he first came into the league.
-
Ha, semantics. You got yourself a shitty QB dude. Trust me, I know, I've been forced to deal with Losman for years.

Where'd you hear about Swick vs. Burkman? -
He pretty much embodies all the negatives of the Boston sports fan (and there are plenty).

Years past was just a reference showing valuable Brady has been. It's certainly more relevant to look at things that have happened than the hypothetical "where would they be without him". The main knock on his MVP hopes this year is the team around him, when he was doing pretty damn well without them before. He's the best player in the league right now, so by that definition he's the most valuable. I love how before people always used to talk about how great Brady was, it was due to everything but the stats. Now he's going to win because of them. Co-winners is bullshit. I love Favre, but Barry Sanders deserved the MVP that year, in every sense, whether stats or value to his specific team.
-
Because why type that in the first place? Why would anyone think he deserved to die at this point? It's just a stupid thing to point out. I don't think a young man deserved to be killed? Well no shit. It's pretty much implied.
-
MVP is the player who is playing the best, whatever that means. If you wanna do it with who is the most valuable to their team, then we should take away some of Favre's previous MVP's, as I highly doubt the best defense in the league combined with what was the best offense would have taken too much of a hit had Favre not been there. The Lions would have been 1-15 if Barry didn't break the record that year probably. I don't see how you can say Favre is more valuable even to his own team, when this team won super bowls with Troy Brown and Deion Branch as the primary targets. Sure, they're a powerhouse now, but Brady has done the most with the least for years now, and I don't think we should necessarily take away his value just because he has some toys to work with. He has carried this offense time and time again with nothing, and this team has essentially been a super bowl contender every year since he's been the starter, except maybe in 2002. Brady is what makes this team go, and he's proven it with less. Brett Favre needed the best to win his one super bowl, and hasn't really come close since the Broncos loss. Tom Brady has consistently put up great numbers with nobodies, Favre hasn't. I understand you're talking about this season, but I'm using the past as a reference point to show how valuable Brady really is, and how Favre hasn't really been all that valuable this past decade. The team has done great this year, but I wouldn't point to him as being the focal point. The Pats haven't had a straight running game for awhile either, Maroney has just recently come to life after injury. Not to mention, the Pats have had the tougher schedule, playing two undefeated teams on the road and coming away with big wins, mostly thanks to Brady. Bottom line is this; if you had a choice between the two, who would you take to quarterback your team?

I know Mecca's an idiot and has a stupid sig/av/whatever, but really there's no point in blowing what he said out of proportion just because a lot of people like to do that all the time anyway. This is a tragedy, it doesn't make much sense right now (though we may find out more in the future) and a 24 year old man just died. Mid-life crisis was puberty for this guy. That's fucked up. Snuffbox; I don't see much spinning room treatment, a lot of people are shocked the guy died and with good reason. You don't think he deserved to die? What kind of thing is that to say? Retarded.
-
He looks like a guy who sweats a lot.
-
Same reason I'd bring up any time Favre's name comes up in MVP talks.. Without Favre, where are the Packers? And without Brady, where are the Patriots? I think it actually comes pretty close in terms of the ramifications of a major injury to either guy, but Moss, Gaffney, Stallworth, and Welker are all proven, good WRs that can work with any quarterback. I think Favre makes Green Bay's offense go, especially the way he carried that offense in the beginning half of the year with no running game. I just saw this. Would you actually pick Favre over Brady as MVP based on a hypothetical?

That sounds like a pretty good deal actually. Corey Hill will be fighting Joe Veres at the next UFN. That's the guy Gray Maynard KO'ed in less than ten seconds. -

$12 for one issue? Sounds pricey. Unless that's the total price for the subscription, and then it depends on how many issues that covers.
