    Electric can openers

I once came up with a list of things that showed how lazy people as a whole were. Everyone thing on that list was eventually debunked (rightfully, as I recall). The only one I can remember is paper shredder. Paper shredder has little to do with laziness at all, and more to do with efficiency. It's very useful, especially for Enron-types. Don't make me debunk you again!

    UFC 79: Nemesis

Everybody keeps talking about the later rounds, but odds are GSP will TKO before three are even up. Matt's probably hoping to stall and wear him down any way he can, because he realizes that the odds of him winning the fight early are pretty low, while extremely high for GSP. Also, it's not like GSP is out of shape, he's always training so I don't think the fight being taken on short notice will be that much of an issue.

Well that's the end of that chapter!

NFL week twelve: Turkey Day Cliches

But that means you should reserve judgment altogether, rather than extrapolate based on some stupid on-field incident.

    COUGHCOUGHWEEK13*

Czech got pwned hard in this fake thread.

What are you going to buy this Dark Friday?

But why after Thanksgiving? I figured that Boxing Day would be more consumerist because people are expected to buy shit for Christmas and there's a bunch of stock left over. I don't understand why the day after Thanksgiving would have more people buying stuff.

Lets remember the genius of Freddie Mercury

I like Queen, but this thread is an example of the word genius being thrown around far too much.

    UFC 79: Nemesis

Now your previous comment makes a lot more sense.

Well then the floodgates open up as to who can be considered a "relevant" fighter. I would consider Mark Coleman very relevant, especially since he still has been actively competing in the past year (I think). Jesus, how could you forget about Randy? He actually debuted on the same show as Tito. These two are off the top of my head, I'm sure there's more.

Not true if you're considering all the old schoolers, which I assume you are since Tito got his start as an alternate at UFC 13. There's plenty, some of whom are still active today.

    UFC 79: Nemesis

As for Hughes, I don't know if he takes a fight knowing it could cost him a title shot.

    UFC 79: Nemesis

GSP's title shot being delayed makes you happy? Why the fuck would you want the best Welterweight in the world to have even longer before he can get his belt back?

    Merry Xmas!

First real snowfall today. Makes it really feel like Christmas is coming.

Pat will probably try to take him down. He isn't stupid. Someone has to have that Gannon fight.

Small file request: Does anyone have Gannon vs. Hinkle? I need to see that again. If you have Dana's sleazy justification of the fight, all the better, because I haven't seen that before.

This comment doesn't even warrant being a comment that doesn't warrant a thread, but anyway, Oleg is fighting again. Against John Marsh.

    NFL WEEK ELEVEN- Proving grounds.

What the fuck is that from?

    NFL WEEK ELEVEN- Proving grounds.

I picked them to beat the Rams when no one gave them a chance, so I rooted for them and was delighted that they won because it just made me look smart. I am rooting for them this year for the first time in awhile. This doesn't happen that often in sports, so instead of being bitter and pissing and moaning about how they're whooping the Bills, I will just sit back and appreciate the amazing job that they're doing.

Rashad Evans versus Michael Bisping to headline UFC 78

I don't think the Fisher vs. Edgar fight was boring ground fighting. They were both very active. Spencer tried many times to sweep or get up and had good hip movement. But Edgar was just too controlling and always active. He had some good GnP in there too. The fight would have been better if Fisher learned how to wrestle. I was really surprised at how bad he was. If he manages to improve in that aspect of his game it will make a huge difference I think.

    NFL WEEK ELEVEN- Proving grounds.

Yeah everybody is skeptical about him playing, but really if he does that would still not help much. It`s gonna be in Buffalo, which has been a pretty tough place to play this year, but I think that the Pats blow the game open in the fourth, after the game stays relatively close for two and a half or three quarters. Thats being positive.

    TUF VI: Welterweights

I actually thought that was pretty lame, those guys were making drama out of nothing. Hightower looks kinda like Corey Haim.

I missed the first ten minutes, anything interesting?

    TUF VI: Welterweights

Semi-spoiler (has nothing to do with the fight, rather the interaction between two fighters): Blake makes Mac cry! Awesome.
