In this day and age Brock Lesnar having the skills of a dominant heavyweight about a decade ago is not a good sign. He'd probably get mauled by the majority of the division. The heavyweight talent pool is shallow though, so his athleticism and wrestling should carry him far until he gets creamed by a really top fighter.

It was caused by the manager turning down money Brandon would have accepted. That's the thing, even really conditioned big guys lose something when it comes to quickness and agility. Look at some of the bigger guys in boxing not doing so well against smaller guys. They're pretty conditioned too. Of course, some of them win, but there are disadvantages. While he would have more power, there's not much doubt that he would get sliced and diced against an Arlovski or Fedor. Speed is at a premium around 230 lbs, and tends to dip once guys get much bigger than that.

Rich Franklin was actually doing decent when he decided to trade from the outside, he tagged him a couple of times. The problems began in the clinch. His gameplan was actually to fight from the clinch which was retarded, especially considering he couldn't handle Rivera in the clinch and Anderson Silva dominated Rivera when they fought, some of it in the clinch. That surprised me a lot because he's normally very smart when it comes to strategies. Anyway, if he uses the right strategy, he could win, but he has to hit on all cylinders and essentially fight a perfect fight.
