Canada and most of Western Europe says hello. But we're socialist pigs, so I supposed we don't count.

To be fair, quite a bit of that is not desirable too. Forget about the fast food, which is easily identifiable as being bad for you, but I'm talking about the cream-based pasta sauces and the cheese, probably the "Jalapeno" spread. A lot of it may not be unhealthy but at the very least quite processed, which sort of defeats the purpose.

The fact that you seem to be okay, or at the very least indifferent, about subtle, hidden racism being common is a little disturbing.

Whatever, the main gripe I have with people thinking he would never win the big one is because the talk was premature. This shit started when he was like 26, 27, as if his career was over. If anything, it reminds me of the fickle, short-sighted nature of the media and sports fans in general. A similar story is when I saw the ticker say that Drew Bledsoe signed a long term deal, and that his career would end in New England. Within a couple of years he was gone and ended up playing for two other teams after. It's as if they just throw logic out the window. I like Peyton, mainly because he's a great fucking QB who has a lot of people that don't know any better trying to fabricate stories about his teammates and personality in order to rip on him. I don't really follow espn and the like too much, so if they ride his dick *that* much, I can see how that might be grating. No reason to hate on him though, not his fault. I believe it was Al on this board that talked about how overexaggerated and overstated the idea of "clutch" is, and he's right. -
You used to live in Kentucky? That's bad enough as is. The guy from Dateline is probably coming over to your house right now.

Slayer is a Vikes fan isn't he? Why would he care about Peyton? Or was he one of those idiot "Peyton will never win the big one" guys? -
About Kapono, he is a great fit for the Raptors offense and style. Bosh and Ford love the screen and picks that would make great use of someone that can kill it on the perimiter like Kapono can. While he's not the athlete Colangelo was looking for, it's really a case of him being the perfect fit. He's not worth the six, but I wouldn't think Walton was worth the five either. Then again, maybe Five million ain't what it used to be as far as NBA salaries go.

drugs Not familiar with sarcasm? It's okay, hopefully you pick it up as you continue to browse TSM. VX, go in depth, fuck "legal reasons". If Milky can post about the time he stuck a pair of scissors to a 13 year old girl's throat whilst fucking her I'm sure what you have can't be that bad. Btw Milky, how old were you at the time? Best - Spending about thirty minutes trying to decide what to order at a Burger King in the middle of the night, while at the intercom. After finally deciding on the Kong Burger (this was during the time the movie came out), I asked "Wait, is this place even open?" Needless to say, we ended up going to a all day breakfast place instead and had the greatest meal ever. While it is not the most "action-packed" drug experience I've had, it's certainly the funniest and most memorable. Worst - Anytime I've been high/drunk and have gotten really bad news. Not that often, but when it happens it sucks. KOAB, surprised your dad wasn't pissed.

Dan Henderson would probably never be able to make 170 unless he seriously maimed himself. Why am I even discussing this? Razazteca is a poor man's Tang God. I hope Karo vs. Fitch ends up happening. While I don't want Diego to fight BJ, if it does happen I think they should move it to this card.

BJ or Fedor, depending on what day of the week it is.

The Juice freak is in quotes though, because there's a story with Bruce Hart bagging on Benoit and everything else he could. Sounds bitter as hell. There was a little blurb detailing Bret's thoughts, and ironically didn't sound bitter or anything but level-headed and went to bat for Benoit and the WWE. -

Let's not forget that most of his fellow wrestlers looked at his short fuse and tendency to snap as being "cute" or at the very least, just like good ole Benoit. The fact that they tell stories like the one about respect and stuff about him flying off the handle with any kind of fondness is kind of worrisome. -

I think KenFlo will have main event status soon if they keep building him up like they have. The thing is it's risky to have smaller guys headline a PPV, just because of the mentality of the fans. I think if they bring in a guy like Gilbert Melendez or Takanori Gomi, they could headline PPV's with that after a couple of introductory fights to let people know how good they are. Match them up with BJ Penn and people would probably go apeshit once they see what these guys are capable of. -
You're right, kill is strong, and in a sport like MMA it's tough to make that assumption. But I do think Grove will dominate him, and I think he will do it in the fashion I stated above. Cote has power though, and I've seen Grove get KTFO before.
-
Ha, I don't know if this is trying to be sarcastic, but I really couldn't tell you exactly, it's almost pointless to predict the way a fight will go. I would predict Grove tags him on the feet for awhile, gets taken down or gets the takedown, then submits him.
-
Alright, so I listened to another couple of the Fight Opinion radio shows, and I have to say that these guys sound like bitter assholes. Everything they say is tinged with bias against the UFC, they just try to spin everything to bash it, rather than analyze the facts to understand the situation properly. Let the guy report on happenings in Japanese mainstream MMA (he doesn't really know about MMA org's for their product, which is why he doesn't know much about DEEP, SHOOTO, etc.) and tell him to shut the fuck up about everything else. The other hosts don't even have that going for them, they offer nothing.

You're an asshole. The fact that you have to end your post with "just to clarify, it's not okay to hit your wife" just goes to show what exactly you're trying to defend here. Nice try. Didn't know that about Chris' son. That fact combined with Benoit's own mental issues may have caused him to think he was "saving" his son. -

Am I the only one not impressed with Huerta? He showed lots of heart coming back against Evans, but that's not a guy that a title contender should be falling behind against. He looked real sloppy against Garcia and I think he will lose to a Fisher or Stevenson. -
I think Grove outclasses Cote in most areas, though Cote looked to have improved wrestling in his last fight. Grove just seems to be another example of a TUF fighter who is slowly learning all aspects of the game, mixing it in with conditioning work. He's improved leaps and bounds, so I am expecting the same here.
-
Cote is going to get fucked up by Grove big time. Agreed.

Steroid abuse and physical punishment might have a say in there too. This is a well-documented problem, you can't point out painkillers and alcohol as the lone problem here. Have you ever even read about these guys backstage antics? Alcohol was the least of the problems. Much crazier, harder drugs were being used on a regular basis. I won't bother telling you who made it easier to distribute either. Let's just say guys would go to the doctor and get prescriptions for drugs that they "needed". I don't know in how many pharmacies you can just walk in, ask no questions, and get a prescription for steroids, amphetamines, or a block of nose candy. Maybe in Mexico. EDIT: Listen, these guys ultimately made the choices themselves. However, it wasn't made easier by someone putting pressure on them and controlling a very large aspect of their lives (their careers and livelihoods). Is it completely Vince's fault? Nope. Should he shoulder a large part of the blame? Yes he should. I keep going back to that interview with Armen Keteyan (sp?) and he just slapped the clipboard out of his hand. That's what he's like on a nationally televised interview where they are basically insinuating the worst about him, and he's prepped himself to restrain himself to an utmost degree. I can't imagine what he's REALLY like. -

I'm just happy I am not a pro wrestling nor have I been for a good half decade at least. That would have made this much tougher to deal with. As it stands, I can look at it pretty objectively.
