Most Overrated/Underrated MLB Players

I'll do a couple from the Jays: Underrated: Casey Janssen (If Towers keeps fucking up you'll hear about him sooner rather than later) Overrated: Troy Glaus. -
Throughout the past year I've seen alot of A&E and have learned quite a bit about serial killers, but there are cases of other people killing that have left me just as fascinated, even if they were caught after the one time. Anyway, a fact I've always heard was that there has never been a black serial killer. But I thought this was untrue, as it seemed unbelievable. Then recently I saw an episode of City Confidential where it profiled George Russell, who sure as hell seemed like a serial killer to me. He raped and killed three women all in the same way, then left them in a certain pose afterwards. That seems like it fits the definition. Weirdest thing about the guy is that he was the slickest, smoothest motherfucker you'd know. Was in with all the bars and clubs in his town of Mercer City (right outside of Seattle) and easily picked up women and the like. He used to charm his way into getting people in town defend him when he committed petty crimes during his youth. Hell, on his way to the trial he laughed and skipped about, and in the short interview they had he was in a very jovial mood. I couldn't believe this was the same guy that committed these horrible crimes. Just felt like bringing him up out of interest, the guy was a very interesting case. Anyway, BUMP.

If you're talking just MMA, well Matt LIndland has choked two BJJ Black belts as of late. Antonio Rodrigo Noguiera has submitted tons of guys too, but I didn't include him because his sport BJJ accomplishments aren't so great. You'd really put Shaolin at the top? I wouldn't have guessed that he was the absolute best, but I guess he has proven to submit many other guys in the toughest weight class to do it in, especially against other top submissions guys in Strebrendt and Hansen. -

Tanner dropped out of a scheduled fight against Horn, and now CHael has taken his place, source MMAWeekly. Didn't even know that Tanner was supposed to fight Horn at this event? Neither did I. -

That's outlandish right there. Regarding AOki: BJ Penn, Matt Serra, Shaolin. -
Who here supports the current administration?

Hey, for those that voted yeah, you guys gotta show up and defend your stance. So far the only people talking in here are the naysayers, and it's quickly becoming a circlejerk. -
Edwin - While they showed them at their lowest, didn't you think all of their stories of overcoming the despair and becoming happy were a little far-fetched? How did Julianne Moore end up on top? Ditto with Heather Graham, and the limo scene had no place in the movie, where they beat the shit out of that guy. They didn't really build on it, or have any of the characters evolve from that scene. I also really liked everything up to the New Year's eve party, but I thought the movie went downhill from there for the most part, save for a few funny spots.

What the hell is a track party? -
I didn't know much about how that started. if anyone is willing, can you explain how this one got rolling, and that one too? Was it on here or did you guys start talking on AIM or something.
-
Wait, what the hell is going on? When did all this happen? So are you guys, gonna like, fuck? Marvin, you shoulda jumped on her when you had the chance. She's willing to travel through God knows how many states to get laid with someone she met online, who, even worse, is a Kiss fan. If that's not desperation I don't know what is.

Well thought out response=Textbook entry=Lame -
Wrong phrase, but I don't think that my dislike of the movie is justified by more than shitty phrases. I'm just waiting to see what Edwin writes so I can see why he liked it. I know a thing or two, the story seemed like it fell apart around the midway point of the movie. I haven't seen it in awhile, so I can't remember specifics.
-
I'm a little late in this discussion, buy why'd you like it? I remember thinking it was a bad movie. None of the conflict was resolved in a way that satisfied me, and I thought it was put together sloppily. It started off great, but then kinda got lazy and fell apart. I thought the director/writer (whose name escapes me at the moment, Paul Thomas Anderson I think?) had many other movies that were a lot better. Rothchild was awesome, but someone should tell Marky Mark that his character is from California, not Boston.

It's a perfectly cromulant phrase. Well played.

Royce couldn't take down Hideo Tokoro. People shit on Hughes for his guard because of what they saw BJ Penn do, but those people should learn a thing or two before they speak. One, P4P in MMA, I don't think there is anyone else out there who has a better top game than BJ. Two, BJ Penn is an infinitely better striker and wrestler than Royce, and therefore was able to get Matt down in a weird way, as we all saw. If Matt ends up on his back through some fucking miracle, he can easily just stand up, as Royce can't hold him down. But whatever, there's no point in arguing about the specifics in this fight. Those that are cheering for Royce are just throwing out fantasy scenarios rather than facts, without anything to back it up. You're all fooled by the myth that is Royce Gracie. Your views will come crashing down in about three weeks. -

I was gonna say, it will still be sold out eventually and all, but Rudo is right. Just because it didn't move as fast as the last one doesn't mean it's a failure. In fact, I think the last one was the first time they sold out in a matter of days. Normally it takes a few weeks. I think they are being a little too worrisome. I also have to point out that "off" might be a typo, and there might be 30% left. -

Does that mean that there are 30% of tickets left or they're selling them 30% off the price? Hmm, which LHW with a big head was on 59 but is not on 60? While Dana won't want to admit it now, Tito IS a draw and he deserves every last penny he gets. I refuse to believe that tickets sold out in three days because people were looking forward to seeing Tim Sylvia try to recapture past glory. -

It's standard for them to cut out promos of all non-title and non-main event matches. They also always put in all the fights, since that is why people watch. Some fights are just gonna be bad. -
For those that watch both versions, would you say that the American is better than the British one? I've always heard the opposite, but I am a big fan of Steve Carell.
