What do you guys think about his first fight with Rizzo? You think he won or lost? I honestly don't remember. Rizzo looked stronger at the end, but my Randy fandom wants me to say his first two rounds were big enough for him to get the nod.

They have all the pressure on them at this moment to deliver. This is when the UFC had to show something, as this was a card where one of their superstars would have their credibility damaged (or retire as it were) and they would have to have some new ones arrive. On top of all that, they still had to hope that the fights would be good/solid in order for newer funs to get hooked. They responded with a great fucking card. Motherfucking beautiful.

But having bad reviews in terms of match quality shouldn't really matter, I mean Hogan's matches never really centered around having great matches so much as having great matches on the big stage, where he could bring a crowd into it. I think if they did have Hogan/Flair, as long as it was built up properly, it would have done huge. It's hard not to build that up properly, world champ vs. world champ.

They said they never fought in the WWF, before Hogan came back that is, but I find that one hard to believe.

I haven't followed wrestling in a while, but his character was always one I enjoyed. I also thought he gave tremendous effort in most of his bigger matches, and his ironman with the dragon is one of my favourite ironman matches. I always thought he was a great wrestler, but I never really see him discussed. For you guys more in the know, where would you place him, in terms of his in ring ability, drawing ability and character/mic ability? Is he comparable to top guys of his era and time? He wasn't much of a face, but he seemed to be a great heel. Also interesting to note that he was part of a great crop of wrestlers that all graduated around the same time from the same school iirc. At the very least, they're all from Minnesota, I guess that's why they all went to the AWA at one point or another.

Tito and Vernon White don't really count. At the time, Tito didn't make a big deal out of it and accepted defeat, but since then has exaggerated the tale. For anyone to think that Chuck's KO punch of Vernon was a thumb in the eye is ridiculous.

When I saw it on MMAWeekly, it didn't say Carlson Gracie has died, it said: Hear Stephan Bonnar today on MMAWeekly Radio talk about how he feels regarding Carlson Gracie's death. It was like Carlson was an afterthought to their radio show getting ratings from pulling in Bonnar. I thought it was kind of disgusting.

You know, all that talk of the conservative blowhards defending the military every fucking time and talking about how each soldier is the cream of the crop, a role model for all, all 'our boys' in the middle east are above regular citizens, etc.

He had a fight in November, and is prepped for a fight at the USA vs. Canada card in the beginning of March.

It's hard to take that 'aside' seriously though, I mean that was such a huge part of his life really. A&E had a really good biography on him, I don't know if you could d/l it though. I've been looking for their eps of City Confidential and American Justice online to no avail. If anyone knows a good torrent site to find any of the three shows I mentioned, that would be great since that is one of the few shows I like and I don't really have a TV at this point.

Makes sense that the kind of people that would applaud a dumbass parent would give him NASCAR tickets. It doesn't matter if the majority are true, in the few cases that it is false, like this one, and you act like he did, you've made a huge mistake. Imagine if he brought a gun to school? People would justify that too. I agree with Special K, we can't have revenge crimes. The exact same thing happened in my school, except the student's father didn't get involved and the teacher just left. But after it was found out that the student was lying, the teacher came back and the student was 'politely' asked to not come back anymore. Reminds me of a story I saw on American Justice; a kid was being sexually molested by his karate teacher when they went on long trips to tournaments. At the hearing, the guy got a good deal of time or something. As police were escorting him out of the courtroom the father, who was wearing some sort of disguise by a phone booth, shot him, killing him dead. The father got off scot free because they somehow ruled that self-defense. While the instructor was no doubt a horrible human being for doing what he did, it's absolute bullshit that the father was able to pre-meditate a crime, carry it out, and not be prosecuted.

I'm gonna put a preview of this card soon on the front page. Probably will be up by Monday. I'll also do a review since those are generally more fun to write, as well as being easier.

I hope you're kidding. AlfDogg's avatar says it all. IMDB says he "Lost a few inches of height because of a back surgery in the mid-1980s, but still stood about 6' 10" even after his posture was effected." So he was around 7'3 or 4 at one point. Even if that isn't correct though, it's not like people are gonna give you an award for figuring this out. He was still closer to 7'4 (as was stated numerous times). Besides, Andre is loved by all. BY ALL.

He's not a fat Samoan, at least I think he's Samoan. He's also pretty badass. I disagree about Joe looking worse for being at that party. It's not his fault he has fun drinking and other people take pictures of him groping some skanks. It's all in good clean fun.

I don't get the Bowie video, at all. What about the visuals and compositions do you like? I'm not much of a film critic, so I can't really pick out any of the finer details of what appears to me as abstract, what with the different colour schemes and stuff involved. But I really like Radiohead's Just if only because of the clever concept behind the video.

i'd pick Shogun to win by KO, perhaps a little later though. I imagine he'll get taken down at least once. He's not Cro Cop in terms of takedown D.
