I just saw on TSN it's rumored to be something like 13 years and $124 million or so.

Tom Brady named MVP (but not a unanimous selection)
-
Mike Babcock really needs to make Chris Osgood the permanent starter. I assume they're rotating to avoid pissing Hasek off but he's being outplayed pretty handily right now. Good to see Zetterberg back last night and contributing as always.
-
I really hope that Detroit doesn't play a team from the Central in the playoffs this year considering that they've performed poorly against them for the most part.

Seahawks Chargers Steelers Bucs

Buffalo finishes with a 7-9 record for the second year in a row. It could have been a lot worse but they probably should have had at least two more wins. Lynch is looking a solid pro already even if his physical style will probably wear him out. Edwards looked solid at times but at others he looked extremely mediocre. Same thing with the offensive line. Hopefully a new offensive coordinator will help with some of these problems. The defense was shoddy pretty much all year long but with so many starters on the IR it was probably to be expected (not that the defense with the starters is that much better anyway). Next year should be interesting for this team.

Watching Phoenix lose gave me quite a laugh thanks to the Great One. Datsyuk pots the game winner and they pan to Gretzky on the bench, screaming "fuck me" and "son of a fucking bitch." Priceless. Anyway, Detroit is still firing on all cylinders even without Zetterberg and Holstrom. Hudler, Samuelsson and Filppula are making the most of their extra minutes.

Just a pathetic finish by Buffalo. -

Bills pathetic run D and spotty offense is costing them as always. -
East Crosby Lecavalier Kovalchuk Markov Chara Gerber West Zetterberg Datsyuk Thornton Lidstrom Rafalski Leclaire

I can't fathom how scoring can be down when every goddamn night now people are hitting 3+ points. Lupul is just ridiculous right now, Kristian Huselius had 5 points tonight and Jarome Iginla had 4. This week has been mind boggling in terms of multiple point performances.
-
Dick Jauron did a pretty good job keeping the Bills in contention despite the ridiculous amount of injuries they suffered and having rookies start in two major offensive positions. If they held on to the Denver and Dallas games, they'd have a 9-5 record.
-
Season over for Buffalo. The same things that have cost them all year (porous run defence, inconsistent offense) cost them this year. They can still play for a .500 record but the Denver and Dallas games cost them a legitimate chance at the playoffs.

Somehow, Buffalo is still alive

Your most hated/liked for 2007

Liked: -The Red Wings making a deep playoff run and being in the building to see them eliminate the Flames. -Henrik Zetterberg having a breakout year. -The Wings getting Brian Rafalski. -The Bills season in general (being in the playoff hunt and the play of both Trent Edwards and Marshawn Lynch). -The Nationals not being historically bad. Disliked: -The Stanley Cup going to a mediocre market for the third time in a row. -The ridiculous contracts given to Dustin Penner and Thomas Vanek. -Spygate. -The Bills losing Paul Posluszny early in the year. -The Bonds and Vick sagas. -The ending to the Bills-Cowboys Monday Night game. On the subject of games, some of my favorites were the Rockies-Padres tiebreaker, the Leafs-Habs game on the last day of the year, Pats-Colts in the AFC Championship. There are more I'm sure but those are the ones that jump out. -
I'd add Dustin Penner to that list as well.

Buffalo has to win out to make the playoffs, so obviously this is a huge game for them. If the defence has a good game and the o-line gives Lynch/Jackson running room and Edwards time to operate (which both units did last week), I think Buffalo can win.

NFL Week 14 - Dolphins? More like LOLphins! Amirite?
Zetterberg is God replied to Spaceman Spiff's topic in Sports
Here's hoping that happens. Good game by the Bills today. Edwards looked good in the crappy weather and Lynch had a nice effort in his first game back. -
Didn't see that one coming. I like both guys so I'm not upset or anything. Still, at points Hatton looked like he could win the fight but Mayweather took over and proved once again why he is the best.
-
Datsyuk has really turned it on as of late and Zetterberg has looked stellar all year. Even Hasek looked good tonight. That slide into Gaborik was awesome.

Buffalo should win this game, but considering that they barely beat Miami last time, who knows. -
Buffalo wins! Gibbs with quite the coaching blunder to hand the Bills an extra 15 yards for the game winner. All credit to Trent Edwards for leading them down the field late with the game on the line. Fred Jackson also had a hell of a game replacing Anthony Thomas.
-
Agreed. What the fuck was that?
-
Edwards is starting for Buffalo this week, Lynch is probably out again and even Anthony Thomas is questionable. The Redskins are going to have an easy time this week (not that it would be hard with a healthy Bills lineup anyway).

Crazy finish in Arizona. Rackers nails the game winner but it's called back on a delay of game. He then misses the next one. San Fran does nothing with their chance but force a fumble and recover in the Cardinals endzone for the game winning TD.
