I'd imagine that Miami needs Texas and LSU to both lose again because FSU is dropping like a rock in the rankings while LSU will get a strong UGA team in the SEC title game. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> We still have a tough Georgia Tech team to play, and the ACC championship. The Florida win was impressive, no doubt about it. The thing is they haven beaten any tough teams outside of Tuscaloosa. If they run the table the rest of the way including the SEC championship they deserve to play for the national championship, imo.

Don't forget that Alabama did the same thing against #3 Florida earlier in the season, actually leading 31-0 in the fourth quarter and beating them WORSE than Miami beat Va. Tech. If you're going to use the rankings to determine a national champion (and the AP still crowns one every year), then you need to base the rankings on merit and accomplishment and not just how the teams are playing right now. Besides, Miami lost Tyrone Moss for the season against Virginia Tech. Who's to say that injury won't affect their season the same way. If Miami plays a close game against Wake Forest next week, should we drop them below a two loss Ohio State team? Don't laugh. CFN already did it. What is so hard to believe about that. Alabama struggled against 2-7 team this past week and have no fuckin offense whatsoever. Do they have a very good defense? yeah...but guess what, Miami's defense is better and is ranked #1 in the entire nation. The canes are a better team, playing a tougher shedule. Not to mention they just layed the fuckin hammer down on the #3 team in the country, in THEIR home. I'll say this. If Alabama wins out the rest of the way, that would be 3 straight wins over top 25 teams, then they deserve to not only be ahead of Miami, but maybe even be ahead of Texas and play for the national championship.

Right now i'm feelin (in a hetero way): Andrei Arlovski --- Tremendous standup skills and amazing hand speed and technical precision to his boxing. Great movement. This guy is becoming a star and he's only gonna get better Quinton Jackson --- Seems remotivated and has new team, which i think he needed. Looked very good against Yokoi at Pride: Fully Loaded. This guy is dangerous if he stays focused. Karo Parysian ---- I'm upset that he won't be fighting Hughes, but his time will come. Very exciting style and is always pushing ther pace. This guy has a ton of heart and will stand up and bang with you too. Joel Villasenor ---Apparently, this guy has been contacted by Pride and feelers have been thrown his way. Very good fighter, with devasting KO power . Also not a bad ground guy either. Has dominated KOTC for a while now and it's time to step up to the big leagues now.

Simms is a part of it, but i think a big part of it has to do with Cadillac being figured out by defenses. 35 carries for 62 yards combined in his last 3 games.

my Georgetown Hoyas should surprise many this season. Their talented 3 freshman are back for year 2, Bowman is back, and Hibbert is a 7'2" center. The Hoyas i predict, will win over 20 games and end in the Top 25. They have a very tough ooc schedule though, including hosting Duke and at Illinois

Young would be more like a Cullpepper type QB. Big and strong, and fast. He can also actually complete passes. He's better than Vick. I'd say Michael Robinson of PSU is the second coming of Vick instead.

A playoff system will never happen. NCAA and the conferences would lose Millions and millions of dollars if they took away the bowl games. I think at the very least they should have a format like this: Rose Bowl - USC vs. Texas Sugar Bowl - Miami vs. Alabama Added Bowl Game for the Championship - Rose bowl winner vs. Sugar Bowl Winner

If they beat LSU and Auburn and then win the SEC title game, I definitely think they should at least be considered for the championship game.
