Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Season 7
Conspiracy_Victim replied to The Dames's topic in TSM Classic Threads
Indeed. Marsters deserves SOME sort of recognition if he continues the job he's done so far this year. However, that'll be nearly impossible since the people who give out Emmy nominations seems to have a hard-on for HBO. I guess BTVS isn't "serious" enough to be a drama and not "humorous" enough for a comedy. Damned to be stuck in classification purgatory. -
As did I, as I mark for classic Soundwave. Good quality, good sound, and they even seemed to correct SOME of the mistakes. Can't wait until the second half of season 2, with Bruticus, Stunticons and Arielbots, etc. Already got the movie, so I'll have the whole timeline up to season 3 (hard to believe there was only 3 seasons, they were long as hell though).

Well, despite the fact that Booker jobbed in Texas (again), Jackie showed up on my TV at all, Steph making sure that everyone knows that all men want her, and the viewers being doomed to yet another cripple vs. booker's blowup toy, RAW was great I agree.

Shouldn't Have Chief Moorely Come Out During The M

Because 3H is above man's law, dammit! No one shall keep him down, for he is the savior of wrestling. -
I actually like that Rygar commercial. Catchy tune, and lots of things getting destroyed is always entertainment.
-
Oh Lord Vicky vs. Jackie. Well oughta be stiff if nothing else. The match I mean.
-
Geez man I thought I bitched about a lot of things. Well you see this match doesn't have either of those paragons of technical wrestling, HHH or Big Poppa Pumped-Up.
-
"I'm gonna give you a friggin' train wreck!" Isn't EVERY match of yours train wreck, H?
-
HHH shoots! And the scary part is, he REALLY DOES believe this!
-
Big Dick's dead? Oh wait yeah I remember now. Heart attack or something wasn't it? Anyway, on a more cheerful topic, I want to see more of that Smackdown: SYM commercial so Brock can beat up HHH some more. Of course I'm surprised that 3H didn't come out at the end of the commercial to get his job back. OH PLEASE!! They can't time a beat down to not coincide with a commercial break? How long have they been doing a live show again?
-
Geezus how overbooked can you make the curtain jerker? Where's Big Dick and Dances With Dudley to make the interference complete?
-
And Rico takes what will most likely be one of the more impressive bumps in the match. Edit: BTW what is the 5 for on the back of Rosie's jersey? I'm betting it's the number of people he's legit hurt so far in the WWE.
-
And we start off with two teams who's music is currently better than THEY are.. BRILLIANT I TELL YOU!
-
RVD vs. HHH...Will they play "No Chance in Hell" for Rob's theme just for the hell of it?
-
Watch with amazement as HHH destroys the champ AND the #1 contender in mere seconds! WOO!!
-
Whew made it in just in time. And as an added bonus I get early Ashley Judd (albeit as Wesley the moron's girlfriend)!! THANK YOU TNN!!
-
Actually, I thought Rob was LEFT LIFELESS out of the ring, struck down by the wrath of our wrestling Jehovah? Anyway, 3H goes on a rant about how he should be the champ because he can hold his breath the longest (cheap Steph humor RULES), Shawn talks about how great Jean-Paul is but says that the Lord gave him the ability to win the belt while taking as many bumps as Undertaker in a Matt Hardy feud , and Rob sits in the back smoking a dime bag and wondering where his push went back in January.

Chef's parents are in Scotland? Oh yeah.... "I'm nominating you for biggest douche in the universe!" BTW, I mark for "tree fitty"

Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Season 7
Conspiracy_Victim replied to The Dames's topic in TSM Classic Threads
Well I remember him saying that he's read "all about" Buffy's high school days. I imagine he's heard about what kind of things happened at the old Sunnydale High. Maybe he wanted to make sure she was around in case everything went to hell (literally). But yeah, the sleeper Watcher idea is appealing, as it shows that the Coucil was aware that something could happen and tried to plan for it. -
Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Season 7

Well, my thoughts (I missed a bit, work really gets in the way of my TV time): 1) The Watcher's Coucil being blown up was kinda shocking. I like how Travers is making this big heroic speech about how it's time to gather and strike back, then "BOOM!". It also lets Giles come out of hiding to effect some sort of takeover of the Council and rally the troops, such as they are (I'm looking at YOU, pre-throat cutting Wesley). 2) I personally don't think the principal is evil. When I saw him going down into the basement I was thinking that things would start to unravel about him, but it really didn't. He looked almost resigned, like he expected to find paranormal activity/murder/mayhem, but was hoping that it wouldn't. Personally, it looked like he was just doing a coverup. 3) Marsters is the god of acting. His taunting of Buffy to get her to dust him was eery in that he was able to sound contrite and pleading one second, menacing in the next. Excellent acting. 4) On the subject of Spike, as a huge Spike mark I don't like the looks of where this is going. Buffy's whole "I believe in you" speech could set the stage for one of Joss' favorites, the noble sacrifice of the redeemed. Maybe it's just me though. 5) Andrew was hilarious with Willow. "Hey you don't even have black hair!" seems to stick in my head for some reason. 6) Xander and Anya still have the spark. Xander talking about Anya replacing "this one guy"'s heart with darkness and forcing him to live empty shows that he still has some feelings for her. Anya playing bad cop was great as well. 7) It kinda looks like they raised the first vampire. Full of evil, no spark of humanity whatsoever, I guess that might be "what a real vampire looks like". -
High school football playoff games at the moment. Amazing that the "eighth wonder of the world" is used for H.S. games now. After that, I'm not sure what it's going to be used for, and neither does the Harris County Authority (the owner of the Dome) last I heard. I've heard quite a few ideas, including converting it into a parking garage for Reliant. Since we got screwed I mean since we lost the Olympic bid, only thing it's got plans for is like Track and Field Championships, etc.

Hey Kotzen I'll tell you what that stadium is impressive as hell, and the practice fields aren't anything to sneeze at either. If you come down the freeway near Reliant you can see the Astrodome with Reliant Stadium behind it. The thing friggin DWARFS the 'Dome. Although the Dome has like 5 floors underground (offices and such) Reliant is almost twice as high and about half again as long. Feels like the biggest place I've ever been in. And the practice facility is amazing. Four outdoor fields I wish my semipro team could play their games on, and the indoor bubble is awesome. Astroturf feels like grass the ground up tires make for a rubber "dirt". Been in there a couple times (friend of mine works in a luxury suite and is on friendly terms with Capers) and it never ceases to amaze me. And yes, the logo is tremendous. Much better than the old oil derrick Bud "Asshole" Adams chose for the Oilers. I wasn't a big fan of the baby blue uniforms either .

Indeed she was and indeed she has. Ms. Cerina Vincent was Areola in NATM as well as Maya (aka the Yellow Galaxy Ranger) in Power Ranger: Lost Galaxy and a couple of videos ("Return of the Magna Defender" and "Power Rangers in 3D: Triple Force"). IMDB rocks.

Hey man acknowledge your cartoon fandom. I grew up watching cartoons back in the day of the original G.I. Joe (Snake Eyes rocked everyone else) and the original Transformers (first 1/2 of season 2 comes out on DVD in a week and a half, I'm there). So, I'm an old fart and I still watch X-Men and Yu-Gi-Oh!. Maximillian Pegasus had to have been one of the most sarcastic and funniest bad guys in recent cartoon history. Don't quite get where they're going right now, but I have faith. Oh yeah, and don't get me started on Tea and Mai Valentine. Anyway, before I become too much of a geek (too late, I know) I'll just say that I kinda lost track of MMPR around the start of the whole Evil Ranger thing, when he was in the middle of owning all the other rangers. Was prety cool, since you can never have enough kung fu, beating up of the "good guys", and explosions in children's programming. And yes, Amy Jo had the whole cheerleader-next-door look going for her. Edit:Good lord Amy Jo is 32 frickin' years old! And still looks like 20 or so! Hey Kotzen if you just want pics of her try her site. I found it tonight while trying to find pics of her (always looking out for you man). Nothing major, but try Google or Yahoo I'm sure they've got about a million different sites for her.

I'm happy with the final. I voted for Pulp, but The Godfather is indeed a great movie. Glad to see it came down to the wire, makes for great..uhh....TV *goes to get a beer and forget he said that*.
