I have watched it and enjoyed it a lot although the others I was with seemed less sure. The film is sort of disturbing and the advertising in England had it as a dark fairy tale. Well it is dark but wouldnt let a kid anywhere near the film. Recommended as it is different to lot out there at the moment.

Really hoping someone can help. I have a video that is in an avi file that needs the XVID codec. Is there anyway I can convert this file so that is plays on the stanard windows media set up. The reason I ask is that I have a video clip that I need to show at work but it wont run without the codec (and loading the codec at work is not an option). If anyone has a free and easy to use program they can direct me too I would be forever grateful.

Just to point out something that people often forget. While not condoning slavery in any form myslef (just to be clear). There are issues where slavery exists in the third world in which the slave is supported by the slave owner, often the owners supply the slaves with land to work. Once they have been freed normally under western NGO pressure to the government they kick the former slaves off the land they own and so while technically freer they have no money, no land and no hope of working. I noticed in the parts of the article quoted there was no mention of money to help set up the freed slaves in their own businesses or money for land redistribution either. What I am trying to say is that people often talk about freeing slaves as though that is the end of it but normally that is only the first step because without financial help and general support you will find the situation where the freed slaves will try and sell themselves back to their former owners. Just food for thought.

Thirded, although was not the biggest fan of the ending, it has to be one of my personal favourites as I really got into the Rock HHH fued.

Its interesting to see what was going on at the time and thanks for taking the time to put it all down. As for feedback, any chance of perhaps putting a few links into the text for images and such like. I now it is a quirk of mine but I find it is nice to be able to see a link to a picture of a person mentioned to help visualise them.

Not to dampen everyones discussion of the article but www.snopes.com under lastest additions runs their eyes over the believability of the story. Apparently from the evidence they have found, somebody was lookign through the changes to the unemployment laws coupled with brothels legalisation and realised it is technically possible for someone to lose benefits if they refuse a prostitution job. However no one has come forward to say this has happened and every job centre that has been spoken to say they would not even consider it.

I think this really relates to the Baltic nations and an interesting little political situation. The treaty if I can remember my history legitamised the Russian annexation of the Baltic countires which had been freed after WW1. Russia recently asked the Baltic nations to celebrate WW2 anniversary which put them in a quandry. Do they celebrate the Russian defeat of Nazi Germany and thereby give a backhanded acceptance to communist Russia which spent 50 years oppressing them or do they stay away and are seen to support Nazi Germany. This is a way of saying they want to celebrate the defeat of Nazim but want Russia to acknowledge it was wrong to invade them (Baltic countries) in the first place

In the UK we have them here as well and they are equally annoying. What is worse is they there ads have stared appearing online. I am really learning to hate "crazy frog".

Does anyone know of a good web site that goes through and rates the different graphics cards against each other. I am thinking of getting a new PC soon and the graphics card is giving me a headache. What I am really looking for is whether the cost of a more powerful card is worth the extra cost. I cant really afford the last Radeon but would like to know how the other cards rate against each other. Thank you for any suggestions.

I go with Man U as I think Chelsea will be concentrating on bigger cpmpetitions (league and Champions league). Cant wait until the Champions league kicks off again soon as there seems to be some great potential matches. Roll on Ipswich into the Premier league, Coventry on Saturday and we need to win.

I think it may just be to do with the television works over here. I remember SKy got censured by OFCOM (UKs version of the FCC) bcause in an episode of RAW SKY had not cut out multiple references to a book the WWE was promoting at the time. In England there are a lot more rules on what you can endorse on television and the level of advertisments within the programme itself. So they are probably just editing it to make sure it all fits in.

Well Ipswich won and Wigan lost so that we seem to be slowly cementing our place in the top two although reading are only two points behind. Hiopefully promotion will be ours this year.
