In a series of backstage promos between Aecas and Toxxic, Aecas kept pulling a silent appearance/silent disappearance act. This prompted Toxxic to spit out, in one promo, that he should get Aecas a collar and bell so he could hear him coming. (Y)

I was kinda disappointed there weren't any promos, but that's pot calling the kettle black. Congratulations to all the winners, particularly Duran who WON the title he's never been able to get his mitts on. And let's get some promos in for the promo show, eh? Oh, and a side note - I counted the three falls of the match as three seperate wins/losses. It made sense to me. o_O

(Lack of match ideas prompts me to do a PPV ad!) ----- The scene that greets us is one of what was once a forest, now a scorched and desolate battleground. Craters pock the ground, smoke fills the air, and the sound of buzzing helicopters and gunfire is rampant. But there are no bodies on this battlefield. Yet through all the warlike noise, a calm and deep narrating voice echoes. "In battle, there are many kinds of people. There are heroes." Words imprint themselves across the screen in digital text, accompanied by the sounds of a typewriter. Wildchild And Johnny Dangerous - The Bahama Bomber And The Secret Agent - Wild And Dangerous The sound of footsteps crunching over grass becomes audible, and the camera swings around. With the sun to their backs, two figures walk through the battlefield. One in the outfit of a secret agent, the other in aquamarine and black. Their faces are calm and set, yet in the shining sun behind them, we see ghostly images. The tag team titles. Johnny hitting the MI Slam. The team nailing the Dangerous Drop. Wildchild hitting the Wild Ride, all on unseen foes. They walk towards us, filling the camera, and then the voice speaks again as the image cuts to static. "There are monsters." Again, digital text scrolls across the screen as if typed by a typewriter. Terrence 'Janus' Bailey And Aecas - The Anti-Heel Machine And The Black Angel - The Unholy Trinity We are treated to a different view of the battlefield, with the sun to our left. Rising from a trench are two hulking behemoths. One in a white trenchcoat, one in dark black. They both stare forward, one with eyes of green and red, the other with pure white. They step forward slowly, as ghostly images flash by the screen. The Executioner. The ADF II. The Intercontinental Television title. The Everdream Driver. The images flicker and are gone, as these two figures also begin to fill the camera. Again we cut to static and the voice greets us. "There are tenuous alliances..." More digital, typewritten text across the screen. Mike Van Siclen and Todd Cortez - The Spectacle And The Urban Legend - The In Crowd When the camera again cuts back in, we face yet another portion of the battlefield, this time with the sun at our backs. A small stand of trees rustle, and two more figures come forth, in black tights and a tanktop with pants. In the shadow we cast, all we can see are their eyes. They also stalk forward, and we zoom in on their unwavering eyes. They look at each other, as ghostly images seem to reflect in their eyes. The Riot Act. The shine of gold, of titles lost. The Urban Assault. That Special Place. Again we pull back, and as the camera begins to fade to static, the narrating voice again speaks. "And finally...some people are just assholes." Toxxic and Jimmy Liston - The Straight Edger and the Demon - Psychological Warfare And when the camera comes up once more, the sun is predictably off to our right. A ruined tank sits here, but the top pops open and two figures climb out, standing tall atop the tank. One wears a Dare To Resist Drugs and Violence t-shirt, while the other looks certifiably insane. As they climb down the tank's body, images can be seen in the metal. The Toxxic Shock Syndrome. The Damnation. The Hardcore Gamers Championship. The Demonic Edge. The images are lost as the duo step over them, and the camera cuts to static, finally pulling back as the narrating voice greets us once more. "But in true battle, friendships are tenuous...and friends can become foes..." And more text, spelling out the ominous fate of this foursome. Triple Title, Four Way Tag Match. The Intercontinental Television, Hardcore Gamers, and Tag Team Championships. The camera shows an airborne view of the battlefield. Each team stands at one of the compass points, all staring evenly at each other. The Trinity members, Wild and Dangerous, the In Crowd, and Psychological Warfare. They all stare at each other, even their own partners, as a loud whistling fills the air. A bomb falls in between the teams and explodes, filling the screen with fire! And within the billowing, explosive flames, the faces of the eight men float, expressing different emotions. Calm. Angry. Cocky. Focused. Determined. And in between these faces, the four gold belts that are at stake hover. And the sound of a song. To be precise, a song by Tool. It is called "Schism." Very nice. Capturing the essence of who Kibagami is. A warrior who knows he has the fire inside him, and is seeking to recapture it again. And he'll have to, in order to survive possibly the greatest weapon he created. ...okay, I suck at cool sounding observations. Kibagami definitely knows what's at stake, and he's not prepared to lose. At all. And it will all come to a head, soon. Very soon.
