It seems to ring out over an empty series of rooms, but then a door opens, and Janus emerges. Light shines out of the bathroom, showing discarded, semi-bloodstained bandages on the floor. Clearly scarred thanks to Dace Night's introduction of barbed wire to his chest, the giant steps with a silent grace towards the phone and picks it up. "....." "Janus, I know you're there. It's King. I take it you saw what happened on Lockdown with Nathaniel Kibagami..." The giant's tone was quiet, deep, and almost commanding. ".....Give him to me." "No, no, no, Janus. You want him, but you can't have him. In fact, it's already been settled. A match at 13th Hour. You don't touch him until then." "........" The Suicide King sounds unimpressed with Janus' ominous silence, and continues. "If you do touch Nathan before then...you'll be fired and arrested for assault before you can even blink. Do you understand?" The giant grunted almost sourly into the phone. "Good. Enjoy your week or so off." *beep beep beep* The giant slowly hangs the phone up, and stares at it with a scowl on his face. The sound of cracking bone is heard as he clenches his fists, and shakes his head slowly. Suddenly he pauses, and braces his hands on the desk, closing his eyes. An ominous figure... A devilish smile... "......" Slowly, Janus opens his eyes again, looking out through the blinds at the darkened street. He turns around, lifting a hand to rub his jaw as he slowly steps into the living room of his 'apartment'. The newest addition is a small box of video tapes. Quietly, he picks one up and examines it before sliding it into the VCR. The screen flickers. Janus watches. "Let us see...what Nathaniel Kibagami...is capable of..."

Once again, we find ourselves in the bedroom of an apartment. Laid back in the bed, arms crossed over his chest like an Egyptian mummy, Janus stares up at the ceiling, green eyes icy and cold. Not a muscle moves, as he blinks once, twice. His eyelids flutter as if he's fighting off sleep and thinking. In a few days, there would be Battleground. In a few days, he would be trapped in a steel cage with Beezel. In a few days, he would be champion... ...but now, he would sleep. The giant's eyes slip closed, and his tense, muscular frame loosens into a more relaxed state. Janus' chest rises and falls rhythmically, and a faint smile curls his leaps. He sleeps dreamlessly... ....but Terrence does not. The tall, young man finds himself standing in the dark. Try as he might he cannot pierce the darkness, and faint laughter reaches his ears for a moment. "Not this again...not this dream..." Flickers of light, like slashes of sunlight drifting in from cracks in a roof, or the abstract flickering of a lightbulb, do nothing to light up the darkness. Blackness moves around him, blackness that Terrence can see as flowing clothing... "The robes...always those robes..." A blank face leers out of the darkness, no eyes, no face whatsover, just a round oval with a calm yet demonic grin. "And that SMILE! He ALWAYS SMILED!" A cold sweat begins to run down the mental entity's face as he looks around sharply. Flashes of robes. All around him. To his left. Right. In front. Behind. "Why can't it leave me alone!?" Robes rustle. A figure steps out of the darkness, a figure Terrence knows all too well. The hulking might of Janus stands before him, and the giant smiles coldly, icy green eyes boring through Terrence. "Because he MADE you, Terrence..." The young man's response is frantic, his mental heart racing. "NO! He made YOU! He made YOU, JANUS! NOT ME! NEVER ME!" The shriek of rage from the mental voice of Terrence is abruptly cut off as the flashes of light fade entirely, both entities fading into the dark recesses of their mind......

Verrrry nice promo, Kibs. A life of peace, and he's merely going back to the States to get thing settled with his contract... ...or is he? I love those sorts of endings to promos. Adds a nice air of mystery to it.
