Yeah, I didn't talk down to anyone, Mark. Hence the "Your opinion is valued" and the "Yes, you've got a valid opinion"... I'm perfectly aware of Rudo's competency towards what makes a good poster, I'm just saying that to discount those posters who have left is closeminded whether you would like to believe that or not. This is something you probably ought to have taken up with me via PM, hmm? kthx

This is amusing, because you've basically said: If you aren't involved here, your opinion is meaningless, and I believe that's the attitude that's caused the lack of "old school" posters to be in that folder, important or not. There's a GREAT deal of post whoring that goes on in the WWE folder, and it's been that way since before you started posting here. You say you have no sense of history, so what gives you the right to comment on the importance or worth of those who USED to post here, but now don't due to the reasons that a LOT of people complain about? I don't know if you've ever actually talked wrestling with Sass or Loss before, so I can't be 100% on this, but those two are two of the most knowledgable people as far as wrestling history goes. In addition, they also know what a good discussion/debate/whatever is about, so they're MORE than capable of eyeing a folder that is ripe with good discussion over a folder that is ripe with bad discussion and bullshit. Granted, they haven't been around very much lately, but you've got to understand that running this board is a task, and of course, if they weren't up to the task they shouldn't have taken the job... However, I'm pretty sure that most everyone would agree that they were up to the task. So RRR, your WWE folder love is cute, but anyone who's actually been around for more than two years, has a much more broad idea of who is good, and what causes problems. Yes, you've got a valid opinion, and yes, it's valued in the grand scheme of things, but casting those who have left off as "unimportant because they are no longer involved here" or whatever, is just plain closeminded. This is the only post I will make about this. Feel free to discuss whatever otherwise, though. -Josh

Bring Back Charlie Ward isn't enough.

Kotz's sig? You're welcome. -
That wasn't a bullshit answer. Alcohol 120% is a program specifically used for what you want.

Ill had nothing to do with this, other than saying "I'll give you this for this, but if you go with SNKT you'll get this." The decision was MiB's and CJ's, basically. I just sat back. SNKT is hosted on the SHOOT Project server for a fee, so, they're free to do what they want with their space, including hosting other things. -Josh

Copy and Paste the Favorites folder onto a CD or separate drive.

R-Studio (Google it) recovers lost files. Try that.

(bitches about Kotz)

Josh, you definitely did the right thing. This drama isn't your fault. The fact remains that something like that requires the approval of Dames, or me in his absence. Taking a survey doesn't cut it. Okay, good. Huge chip off of my shoulder. -Josh

Just so there's no confusion here... Here's the conversation that took place prior to all the running around asking mods for things... MrAdamFromMass (3:13:37 PM): question for you pertaining TSM IllustriousOne85 (3:13:40 PM): All right. MrAdamFromMass (3:13:48 PM): You know the OAOAST? MrAdamFromMass (3:14:17 PM): in the little Hosted Forums thing IllustriousOne85 (3:15:00 PM): Yeah. MrAdamFromMass (3:16:13 PM): Say there were some of us who still wanted to do e-feding but we were sick of that place due to politics and didn't wanna go to SWF. Now if things go concrete and in motion would you be willing to start a thing in the Hosted Forums thing beneath OAOAST called the OAOAPT for parody e-fedding and stuff? MrAdamFromMass (3:16:31 PM): Its at the starting stages of being thought about IllustriousOne85 (3:16:45 PM): I personally would not have a problem with it, but that's something that the other mods would have to make a call on. MrAdamFromMass (3:17:43 PM): and to provide further space for it and earn it if you want give me mod powers for a little while and I'll go back into the archives and delete stupid news threads like "Jeff Hardy fired!" that have no relevence to anything anymore MrAdamFromMass (3:18:03 PM): then after cleaning up stuff like that just remove them MrAdamFromMass (3:18:34 PM): I'm pretty sure I can get the backing of quite a few mods for it IllustriousOne85 (3:18:53 PM): All right. Well, do that first, then. I'm not really in any position to make a call like that. MrAdamFromMass (3:19:05 PM): ok, thanks man. I appreciate it IllustriousOne85 (3:19:10 PM): No problem. I personally directed him in a direction I feel was best, since my power is limited to tech work here (and tossing in an opinion every once in awhile). So, just so there's no heresy or anything of that nature, up there is what started it all. ^^

You oughta head into the Staff Folder, Zack.

OMG REALLY?! Who were the first?! Please tell me all about them in EXCRUCIATING DETAIL Marney, you are SO SILLY. Tee hee.

I THINK it's a cookie issue. That's happened on a couple of places I've been to since I've been here, but not on my home computer. Usually, when cookies are set by boards, the SQL tables have a preset prefix for the cookie. Often times, places leave their cookie preferences blank, so depending on the server, you may see some repeats. That's the kind of thing that causes a problem like this one, in addition to not being able to stay logged in and such. Clearing your cache every once in awhile should fix this.

Polyphonic ringtones = MIDI files on your computer. So, you can just download MIDI files and then download them to your phone.

It seems like it's degenerated into an "I know you are, but what am I" argument. Such an argument, is quite lame.

I side with Loss on this one. He's taking a very "user friendly" approach to this.

I've almost gotten to the point where I think Microsoft does this on purpose. Let people get ahold of shit (Longhorn, XP)... Let them fuck around with it... Once they see the easy vulnerabilities, they "do what they can" to fix them. It's funny... I mean, I know it's probably NOT true, but seriously. That company is more prone to piracy than probably any other companies.

There is a new AIM virus, that is sending the following to chat windows: (DON'T CLICK THE LINK) "check this out: http://www.wgutv.com/osama_capture.php?JVFD" To remove the virus, if you downloaded it... (Jump to step 3 if you are on 98 or ME) 1) First, download the REMOVAL TOOL (please right click and choose "save target as" and save on your desktop to avoid accidentally opening the file in your browser instead of running it) 2) If you are running windows XP (Home or Pro) simply double click the file you just saved called "BlmiRemoval" and you are done. For all other versions of windows, go to the next step. 3)Press CTRL ALT DEL (CTRL SHIFT ESC if you are on Windows 2000) to open the "task manager" in windows. 4) Look for a process called "blengine", "ChannelUp" (if you are on 2000, it will be under the processes tab, and will be called blengine.exe or ChannelUp.exe) 5) Select any of the files listed above if you have them, and then click "end task" on the task manager. This will close down the virus file from running. 6) Finally, now run the file BlmiRemoval that you downloaded in step one. 7) If you need to manually delete the files, go to C:\Program Files\Common Files and delete the entire directory called "PSD Tools" (you may be unable to delete some files, just be sure to delete at least blengine.exe and channelup.exe, and you can attempt to delete the remaining files after you restart your computer).

I'm not entirely sure at this point. It could be anything from advanced spyware to just spamming. Either way, it's pretty lame. EDIT: That said, I just received a link to info about it... http://www.pcworld.com/news/article/0,aid,114745,00.asp

In your case, it's entirely possible that Rogers and TSM don't like each other. It's happened before.

It is foremost, an AOL/Compuserve/Prodigy/Earthlink/Dial-Up problem. I doubt seriously that Norton would cause something like this, as ALL Norton users I've spoken with have never had a problem like this that didn't stem from one of the above ISPs. On the subject of the server... It's actually not a bad server. There needs to be some cleanup done, and it probably needs more memory, but I can't do either of those things, as much as Dames and I would like to. -Josh

Dames gave me the password a couple weeks ago, but I don't spell things wrong.
