    MLB HOF Ballot Released

Dale Sveum should be on the ballot just on the basis of mustache.

    Greatest openings to songs?

I have always loved the opening to Type O Negative's "Christian Woman." The opening line of Forgive her, for she knows not what she does leading into the minor chords on the keys gets me every time.

    Nirvana - Nevermind

Recently at work, I listened to both Nevermind and In Utero. While Nevermind is not a bad album at all, In Utero COMPLETELY blows it away, in terms of lyrics, song structures, etc. I hate to use the tired cliche, but Kurt really wore his heart on his sleeve for that album. It really is all over the place, from the catchy, almost pop-grunge of "Serve the Servants" to the straight up metal riff that is "Scentless Apprentice" to the rather sullen "Pennyroyal Tea." I really can't find too much fault with the album at all. It's produced perfectly, sounding just as raw as every lyric Kurt wrote. In Utero is just a tremendous album overall, blowing away everything in their catalogue as far as studio albums go.

    MLB HOF Ballot Released

Sandberg MUST be elected. I'd love to see Strawberry get elected, just for the after party.

Bears want to sign Jeff George

Yeah, it bridges Illinois with Wisconsin. Illinois, at least the Chicago area, is pretty racist. My high school in Joliet was the most racially divided place I've ever been. White kids hated black kids, blacks hated whites and latinos. And the latinos hated EVERYBODY. The further south you go in the 'burbs, the worse it got, especially Elwood and Wilmington. Those two towns should cease to exist.

    New RVD Interview

Nah, we'll still hate HHH by the time he's gone, and will still bitch.

Comments which don't warrant a thread.

I haven't purchased much "new" music as of late, but what I have discovered is that the one new album I bought SUCKS. Fuck A Perfect Circle for trying to be political. It didn't work, Maynard. Now give me another Tool album.

    Preach to me!

Sign O' the Times is a classic, as well as Lovesexy. And of course, there is the pure brilliance of Purple Rain.

    Preach to me!

Well, some Prince never hurt anybody. Listen to The Clash as well. And Faith No More.

Bears want to sign Jeff George

Eiter that, or have them sucked into a giant chasm. Anyway, JEFF GEORGE?!? I'll stick with krenzell. The season's pretty much done for my beloved Bears. Just wait until Grossman's healthy, along with Brown and Urlacher and start over next season. WAIT~! Can Tim Rosenbach still throw? If Andre Ware deserves another shot, certainly Rosenbach does as well. I mean, you can't fault the guy for being drafted by the Cardinals back in the day.

    College Roommate Trouble

Situations like yours are why I decided to live off-campus. It's so much easier, plus you don't have to hurt anyone's feelings.

I don'tknow. it's a good song, but I also think "Irish Blood, English Heart" is really fucking good.

    Headucate me.

I would say that gangsta rap was born when Ice-t released "6:00 in tha Morning" back in, I think '86. But Straight Outta Compton took it to another level.

ECHL Player suspended 12 games for...

That's the best way to get suspended I've ever heard. EVER. Only in Wheeling... make's me kind of proud to live here.

    Greatest European

Leonardo Da Vinci. Quite possibly the most intelligent human being who ever lived. His sketches for modern technology were in place during the Renaissance (helicopter, etc), his studies of the human body were also far ahead of his time, and his sculptures and paintings are among the finest the world has ever seen.

    Great short matches?

My bad. I have the Wrestlepalooza '97 DVD and Taz kills Candido rather quickly in that one as well, complete with a stretcher job.

    Great short matches?

I'm pretty sure that was Wrestlepalooza '97 or Cyberslam '97. I was PISSED when Goldberg beat Raven for the US Title in such little time. Of course, that's just because I'm a Raven mark and never got on the Goldberg bandwagon. Thanks for bringing back angry memories.

See, if you were to bring back ECW, 2,000 tickets sold would be a *GOOD* night. Bad, bad news.

Rob Van Dam: One Of A Kind DVD

RVD/Ballz is what happens when RVD is required to "carry" a match. I still wonder why that match is on the DVD, same for the RVD/Lynn GAC '01 match.

Any snow in your area yet?

Wheeling, WV- Wednesday it was raining and almost 60 degrees, and yesterday when I woke up, there were a few flurries, though no accumulations, and the temperature had gone down to about 30. Today it's cloudy and cold.
