Bands that everyone hates, but you like.....
B. Brian Brunzell replied to King Kamala's topic in Music
None of my friends understand my love of Bjork. -
I can't wait for SummerSlam. And only because it'll (hopefully) end this feud.

What a great show in Chcago ridge Saturday night. The tag title match was great, especially HEEL SPANKY~!. Joe/Lethal vs. Ki/Cide was a fucking battle-and-a-half, includng the sickest double stomp EVER, and Joe throwing probably 30 or so chairs in the direction of the Rottweilers faces. The sendoff for Punk was truly an emotional experience, and the Pepsi toast topped everything off wonderfully. And poor Bj Whitmer just got dropped directly on his head all weekend, but dammit he was still nice enough to talk to me.

Going to my First ROH show 8/13 Dayton

IT was a great show, DMann. And GODDAMN was the ending to the main event awesome. And I totally lost my voice heckling Todd Sinclair for his shenanigans during the Generation Next/Embassy battle, plus singing the praises of Jimmy Rave and Nana. -
Going to my First ROH show 8/13 Dayton

I'll be at the Dayton and Chicago shows this weekend and am rather jacked. I believe that Spanky is taking on Cabana in Dayton now as well. PLus, I'm really looking forward to Homicide killing Hardy. -
I like Speak English or Die, and I think Billy Milano is a twat.

nah. ready to die is the greatest rap album of all-time. maybe only illmatic or 36 chambers is close. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No love for The Low-End Theory? I'd also put Follow the Leader over Ready to Die as well. It's still a great album though. And I know how Robert Johnson was an innovator, but his "natural talent" wasn't all that spectacular. I love his work, but it was nothing but 12 bar. As a lyricist, Lennon was great, but I think as a musician, he was average. Bird and Prince are the most naturally talented musicians I can think of right now. And you can't put Aquemini in with the rest of the Dirty South music. It's so much moe than just southern hip-hop. That album is fusion at it's best since Miles, bruddah.

I've never really been too into the Dead, though I like some of their stuff. "Mexicali Blues" and "Uncle John's Band" would probably be my favourite tracks. I did have the chance to go to their final show in Chicago in '95 with my old neighbour, but turned it down.

1. I still listen to his music when it's on the radio. 2. I don't own any of his albums anymore, and Off the Wall is my favourite. 3. My favourite song is "Don't Stop 'til You Get Enough", and "Billie Jean" is my favourite video. 4. I don't own any HVS/DVD's. 5. I've never seen him live.

"Haiti"- The Arcade Fire

I always figured that Dan Rather would go before Peter Jennings. Anybody got Jennings in the Death Pool?
-
"Phantasmagoria in Two"- Tim Buckley

I'll be hearing it Tuesday night. My friend is burning his stolen copy for me.

They could call him COLOSTOMY MAN~!

Angry. So very angry. The lyrics aren't all that bad though.

How would the wheelchair wrestler be able to get into the ring? Also, wouldn't his only moves be running into and over people with the wheelchair, or would he still be able to punch and kick, too? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, he'd at least be able to punch...

I don't recall London ever coming close to fucking up either the SSP or 450. Just make Juvi get a new finisher.

Dat's kinda rude to Sledgehamah, if you weeeeeeel, LOTC.
-
Yeah they do. I was just at their site last night and it's going to be called Alive '05. It'll be released September 18th, if I recall correctly.

I wonder how Paul Rodgers and the rest of the actual band Bad Co. feel about Howe using the name.
-
I doubt he'll be returning, even for one night. Though the kid in me wishes he'd show up once.

I didn't feel like being Captain Obvious today, Laz.

So I've really been digging on Cake lately, and I don't know why. I just find them to be a fun-ass band to listen to, though not on Bloodhound Gang levels.

I heard NOFX's "Jeff Wears Beirkenstocks" for the first time in a LONG time when I bought NCAA 2006. Last week on the 80s retro lunch on the light-rock station that plays in our dining room at work, I heard Scandal's "The Warrior" and almost creamed my pants.
