BAH~! I live in Wheeling, West BAH GAWD Virginia while attending college. If anyone knows rednecks, it's me. Unless someone resides in Arkansas. Anyway, I'm 23 and will turn 24 on 25 May.

It's also the birthday of Julius Caesar. There is a motto that I live by, and it is as follows: Be like Hitler--don't smoke. "Cigarette mein Fuhrer?"

I guess that for the "current" list, it's who you've been listening to the most, and the "all-time" list is just your five favourite artists of all-time. I'm also in for an explanation for Creed. Are you in a delusional state of mind that suddenly Creed seems like a good band, or is there just nothing else to listen to. Big ups to ian. for having Blind Melon on his list. They don't seem to get much love 'round these parts.

I'd go with one of the following three songs: "Last Goodbye"- Jeff Buckley "Satisfied Mind"- Jeff Buckley "Take This Bottle"- Faith No More

Blind was the album relesed before Pepper Keenan took over full-time vocal duties and transformed the band into the Southern metal group that I know and love. There are a few good tracks, like "Vote with a Bullet" and "Dance of the Dead" I'd recommend stuff from Deliverance and Wiseblood, especially Wiseblood. The title track is good, as are "King of the Rotten", "Long Whip, Big America", "Goodbye Window" and ESPECIALLY "Redemption City."

Um, remember what happened with last year's tour? Or was that 2002? Either way, it didn't take too long for Axl to regain his form of old and bail on shows. If they tour again this year, I give him 10 shows top before he says "Fuck it."

Sounds like it was a damn good show. I've seen TOOL, and have been wanting to see APC for the longest time. Throw in The Mars Volta, and I'll have a 2 1/2 hour non-stop markout. "Junkie Trainwreck" is a classic.

Wasn't that one the Chili Cook-Off? It sure was. And for your pleasure and mine, here's a couple of lines from that ep: Chief Wiggum: "That Simpson. He thinks he's the Pope of Chilitown." Chief Wiggum: "I've added a special ingredient this year...the MERCILESS peppers of Quetzelsacotenango! Grown deep in the jungle primevil by the members of a Guatemalan insane asylum." Homer: "Uh, Wiggy, my chili's getting cold." Homer: "We really are soulmates. In your face, space coyote!" Homer: "Where are my chili boots?"--I don't know why, but I fucking love that line.

*singing* "Who keeps the metric system down, we do.....we do....." That is a pretty good episode. **singing** "Who holds back the electric car? Who made Steve Guttenberg, a STAR! Who robs Kingfish of their sight? Who rigs ever Oscar night? We do! We DOOOOOOOOO~!" Still, my all-time favourite episode is either the ep where Homer goes to college or the pee-wee hockey episode. Those two are GOLD.

Now THAT'S a pick-up. The only Robert Johnson stuff I own is that Martin Scorsese Presents The Blues cd, which fucking OWNS.

This is a thread where you, fellow music fans, can post your reviews of new and/or your favourite albums. I figure it can be a great place to introduce the other TSMers to music that they've never heard, or haven't heard in quite some time. Anyway, have at it!

Gene Simmons will NEVER die. He's a roach, much like Cher, Scott Hall and Mickey Rooney. Gene will survive the Apocolypse and find a way to make money of of the second coming of Christ. Just wait and see.

"Do You Want More?!!!??!"- The Roots

"Ghosts Along the Mississppi" and "New Orleans is a Dying Whore" are the only other real standout tracks on Down II. Four tracks out of 14 isn't bad, but it isn't good either. The thing that bothers me most about Down II is the deterioration of Anselmo's voice. It was never the best as far as metal singers go, but in the last 3 years or so, he's become a joke, vocally and personally.

"Opened Once"- Jeff Buckley

"Vancouver"- Jeff Buckley

"Alone"- Pearl Jam

Where's the Strapping Young Lad? City should be in ANY metal fan's top 50.

That's a shitty choice for a first listen when Clutch is concerned. It's an pretty good rock record, and that's about it. Elephant Riders is friggin' outstanding though, and probably the place to start with them, only because the album's so different. Check out Transitional Speedway League after that, since it's another departure for the band. Way moodier and meaner stuff, but that's not really what they do best. "Binge and Purge" will always remain awesome as shit, though. The Elephant Riders and the self-titled albums are the way to go if you're just getting started with Clutch. The self-titled album is just so fucking cool. There's just a groove to it, even with "Animal Farm." Sure it's fast and heavy, much like stuff on The Transitional Speedway League, but the underlying bass RAWKS and grooves at the same time. I can't really say that The Transitional Speedway League is a departure since it's their first album, but it's really dark, really mean, and Neil Fallon sounds alot younger and angrier. There's some GOLD stuff on that album though, like "A Shogun Named Marcus" and "El Jefe."

Five more this week: Whatever Happened to P.J. Sole?- Local H Blast Tyrant- Clutch Do You Want More?- The Roots The Soul Sessions- Joss Stone Sign O' the Times- Prince I'm digging the new Clutch. Agent was pretty right-on with his thoughts of th new album. The new Local H is pretty good, the title track, "Heavy Metal Barbeque", and "Halcyon Days" are the standout songs. It's not as good as Here Comes the Zoo, but then again, few rock albums are. I'm really feeling the Joss Stone album. 16 year-old girls should NOT BE ABLE TO SING LIKE SHE DOES. As for The Roots and Prince, well, do I really need to explain?
