I heard the new track, and I must say, Jeff Keith still sounds damn good. He's always been a very under-rated voaclist, in my humble opinion.

Yeah, those are some horrible lyrics. Of course, you can go through that entire song and pick out awfulness. Like this gem: Cristal poppin' in the strech Navigator We got food everywhere, as if the party was catered I have to throw this in, just because of how incredibly wrong it is for Lil' Kim to be rapping these words: Cats take my ideas and put they name on it But it's alright tho, You can't hold me down I got to keep on movin'--from "Can't Hold Us Down" I just love how Kim goes on about folks stealing her shit, then she goes and USES SOMEONE ELSE'S STUFF RIGHT AFTER PROCLAIMING SHE GETS RIPPED OFF! Stupid twat.

Meh, this is just a way for Axl to get the public interested in him again so he'll once again fail to deliver Chinese Democracy.

There's the Polaroid commercial that uses The Cure's "Pictures of You." I was a bit disappointed i the fact that Smith let a great song from one of the greatest albums of all-time be used to sell some pictures. Oh well, he probably got paid like a mofo. ESPN has started using Liz Phair's "Extraordinary" for their ads for the NCAA Women's tournament. Don't know if that one really counts though.

You should give the John Lee Hooker original a listen though. MUCH better than Thorogod.

What is this song I can't remember the title of the song, but it's by LFO. They're another typical run-of-the-mill boy band from 2000 or 2001, when 4 or 5 (three in LFO's case) clean-cut white boys singing in harmony was all the rage.

But, what if Mike Patton covers it? OK, that's just wrong, snuff. Of course, if Patton were to do a cover of "America Pie", I'd at least give it a listen. I can find solace in the fact that the vocals would OWN, should Mike do said cover. He'd probably add in some crazy, off-the-wall noises that a human being should not be able to make, which'd make the track be worthwhile.

Good Charlotte's "Girls and Boys" is terrible lyrically. Hell, the verses could be the next "Paradise Lost", but with a chorus of Girls don't like boys/Girls like cars and money/Boys will laugh at girls when they're not funny the song would still blow balls. Fuck, that's the worst. Chorus. EVER.

I have two songs that I despise more than any other, and they are: "I Know what Boys Like"- The Waitresses "American Pie"- Don McClean

"Grace"- Jeff Buckley

Peart's been washing Mike Portnoy's jock for years now. There isn't a Rock drummer better.

My uncle brought home a dave Weckl instructional tape that his friend gave him, and OH MY GAWD is he amazing. He's up there with Portnoy. He may even be better. Have any of you other music fans heard this guy play? If not, check him out. He's played with Chic Corea and other Jazz musicians.

I just read over at MTV.com that Prince will be touring for the first time in six years this spring. He's coming to Pittsburgh on 14 April and I am STOKED. I'm definitely getting tickets for this after seeing him at the Grammys and Hong Kong Rocks on MTV2. I think it's pretty safe to say that seeing Prince live and in person is definitely creampantsworthy.

"San Tropez" instantly springs to mind.

Don't look him in the eyes.

That should be interesting. I have the 2 disc Alchohol Fueled Brewtality Live + 5 where BLS covers Neil Young's "Heart of Gold" and Sabbath's "Snowblind." I thought both were well-done, so the Procol cover should be no different.

Tantric is ok by me. I prefer Travis Meeks' songwriting to whomever does the majority of Tantric's though. As for Local H, they're fucking BADASS. Scott Lucas is good enough of a guitarist and vocalist to get the job done. Their music just jams. Period. TNA, do youself a favour and pick up Here Comes the Zoo. Easily their best album. The No Fun EP is pretty cool as well. They cover "I Just Want to Have Something to Do" as well as "Birth, School, Work, Death" along with three originals, with "President Forever" particularly owning. Their new album comes out in March, I believe.

Why oh why is Superjoint Ritual on the main stage? Still, with BLS, Slayer, and JUDAS MOTHERFUCKING PRIEST on the main stage, I just may have to go this year.
