Actually it started even at Summerslam with the Owendriver breaking Austin's neck(Austin and Bret were friends) which selaed Owen's career pretty much.
But yah that's why I still consider Canadian Stampede one of the most memorable PPV's ever(my favorite too).
Yup. It seems ever since CS things have gone down hill. Pillman, Montreal, Owen, Helen, concussion, Bulldog, stroke...
I always feel that CS was Bret Hart's "perfect" moment and ever since that "perfect" night everything's fallen apart.
Coken I got a pretty similar image myself. Bret a broken man with no one left(his dad will go soon I'm guessing cause he must be hitting his mid-80's) and nothing but faded memories. Watching an old tape of IYH: Canadian Stampede remembering how things once were.
If That is So...Bret will be the last man Standing...
I don't know why but I see Bret as the last man standing. Maybe some weird form of Karma but I just see Bret being the one man left while his family crumbles around him. And I really feel bad sayign that shit.
I know this may sound dumb but could someone post the "3's" wrestlers have died in, in the past?
WM10

Whenever people mention great series they say Flair/Steamboat, Dynamite/Sayama, Angle/Benoti etc. but one forgotten great series is the 1988 World title feud between Savage & DiBiase.
They had a ****1/4 match on the SNME before WM4, a **** match at MSG in which DiBiase's nose is borken 1 minute in, a solid *** cage match which features a fan attacking Virgil and a ****1/2 match at Wrestlefest 88 which for some reason was cut from the commercial reason(does anyone know why?). 3 of the 4 matches are available on the Macho Madness tape and they are all great matches which showcase how awesome these guys really were.
Anyone else got comments on this series of matches?
To be honest I don't really like transcribing promos and some you have to watch to feel.
As for the mind games, Genius stalls brilliantly, he outwrestles Hogan with armdrags and does standing back flips to annoy Hogan. It pisses Hogan off so much its brilliant.
But thanks for the input, it will be taken under advisement.
