  2. Dungy was an excellent coach in Tampa as well and his defensive system is perfect for my guys. His cover 2 fits perfectly with most of my defensive players (even the old Steelers) and his 'let the offense run itself' philosophy works for an offense full of hall of famers/legends/all stars. I think he suits my team (hell, I took him as much for what he did in his short time in Tampa as what he did in Indy).
  3. Too bad box scores only save a day or two or you'd see that Jorge lost Game 6 when McGrady missed a game tying 12 footer at the buzzer. whatifsports = realistic.
  4. Bobby Mitchell RB/WR/KR - 4x Pro Bowl - 2x All Pro (1x 1st team) Well I wanted Bo, but I found someone even more versatile. He was a pro bowler as a running back AND as a wide reciever AND was one of the premier return men of the 1960's. Him and Jim Brown were a lethal combination and since Brown was a natural FB (just like Franco Harris), I will use Mitchell in the same capacity on my team. Plus he will be my all-purpose return man and will play WR when I go to 4 WR sets or shotgun situations. And, my coach: Tony Dungy, Coach Write up later.
  5. I can't say I am. Steviekick's team is very underrated by its ranking to the point that I don't consider him beating Jorge much of an upset.
  6. Slow day at work so here's another one (Game 2 is a classic if you read the PBP): Game 1 (Alamodome in San Antonio) EHME 93, TheOriginalOrangeGoblin 106 Top Performers: Thomas (14pts, 5rbs, 10ast)/Duncan (17pts, 12rbs, 5blk) http://www.whatifsports.com/NBA/boxscore.a...&teamfee=-1 Game 2 (Alamodome in San Antonio) EHME 117, TheOriginalOrangeGoblin 118 (OT) Top Performers: Mourning (20pts, 19rbs, 8blk)/Duncan (18pts, 9rbs, 6ast, 3blk) http://www.whatifsports.com/NBA/boxscore.a...&teamfee=-1 Game 3 (The Palace in Detroit) TheOriginalOrangeGoblin 121, EHME 118 Top Performers: Allen (28pts, 6rbs)/Garnett (22pts, 9rbs, 4st) http://www.whatifsports.com/NBA/boxscore.a...&teamfee=-1 Game 4 (The Palace in Detroit) TheOriginalOrangeGoblin 106, EHME 121 Top Performers: Archibald (26pts, 6ast)/Garnett (21pts, 13rbs, 3ast, 4blk) http://www.whatifsports.com/NBA/boxscore.a...&teamfee=-1 Game 5 (Alamodome in San Antonio) EHME 97, TheOriginalOrangeGoblin 104 Top Performers: Garnett (22pts, 10pts, 3ast, 2blk)/Thurmond (9pts, 15rbs, 2ast, 5blk) http://www.whatifsports.com/NBA/boxscore.a...&teamfee=-1 SERIES: TheOriginalOrangeGoblin defeats EHME 4 games to 1
  7. FUCK YOU!!!! I've been targetting him since round 1 and was gonna take him this round. Goddammit, I thought no one else would think of him. I had him lined up as my back to pair with Harris and my kick returner. And forget at the time, dude was probably the greatest straight up athlete/physical specimen I have EVER seen in pro sports.
  8. Next game is done: Game 1 (Madison Square Garden in New York) Great Mazto 91, CanadianChris 96 Top Performers: King (28pts, 10rbs)/Chamberlain (28pts, 19rbs) http://www.whatifsports.com/NBA/boxscore.a...&teamfee=-1 Game 2 (Madison Square Garden in New York) Great Mazto 105, CanadianChris 121 Top Performers: Stockton (16pts, 14ast)/Chamberlain (27pts, 13rbs, 6blk) http://www.whatifsports.com/NBA/boxscore.a...&teamfee=-1 Game 3 (Delta Centre in Utah) CanadianChris 122, Great Mazto 109 Top Performers: Chamberlain (27pts, 16rbs)/Stockton (15pts, 4rbs, 6ast) http://www.whatifsports.com/NBA/boxscore.a...&teamfee=-1 Game 4 (Delta Centre in Utah) CanadianChris 109, Great Mazto 100 Top Performers: Chamberlain (24pts, 12rbs)/Webber (12pts, 9rbs, 3ast) http://www.whatifsports.com/NBA/boxscore.a...&teamfee=-1 SERIES: CanadianChris (3) defeats The Great Mazto (14) 4 games to 0
  9. Ricky Romero - One of the most popular stars ever in Texas (to the point that he won a popularity contest over hometown son Terry Funk), Romero was so popular that they had a title created for him. He was also a solid worker and a huge draw to the Latin fanbase which I will covet. He has also held tag team gold with Pedro Morales and is the father of Jay Youngblood so he has nice connections on my roster and will join up with his friend Morales and his son Youngblood to fight Hassan's stable. Harvey Whippleman - A very good heel manager who is annoying, could take bumps and could draw heat like mad. I'll mostly use him to get heat for lower card guys.
  10. 11. My mistake VX. I misread and it's the whole squad, I just listed the starters. I'll do the first series tonight, to give everyone an example of how it'll go. I picked one at random and I'll do 6/11 (Jorge/Stevie) first. Results will be up later.

  13. Well I'll start the sim this week. BZ should we use thread or start a new one?
  14. I knew I wouldn't win since a few of my guys are underrated stars instead of being household names but I didn't think I'd come that low. Quite surprising.
  15. Guilty as charged. Who gave me second last place?
  16. First an authority figure: Jack Tunney He'll be totally unbiased and only appear when absolutely necessary, pretty much play the same role he did in real life. and Leo Burke Pretty much a legend in Stampede wrestling and one of their great all-time heels, he has al ong history with Bret Hart and roots in Calgary where a lot of my shows will occur. A very good worker and trainer, Burke could cut a mean promo and will make a valuable addition to my midcard.
  17. When he hosted SNL a few years back, there was a skit about him being the 4th Stooge and it began with the 3 Stooges doing their "Hello! Hello! Hello!" then Bernie chirped in with an angry and bitter "Hello." Such a small moment but I found it freaking hilarious. RIP Bernie.
  18. Ok that's what I thought since I don't have a KR. So now I can draft my kickers, coach and special weapon.
  19. Shit. I thought there were 4. Well looks like I'll need someone who can both kick and punt .
  20. So, I need to know, are people interested in doing the simulation?
  21. Gary Clark, WR - 4x Pro Bowl - 2x All-Pro - Over 10,000 yds recieving and over 60 career TD's - 2x Super Bowl winner - Once amassed 241 yards recieving in a game (NFL record for a non-strike game) One of the 'Posse' on the great Redskin teams of the late 80's and early 90's, Clark was the tough, blocking WR to go with Art Monk's pass catching ability and someone else's (hasn't been drafted yet) speed. He would always pick up tough yardage and is always the guy the Skins went to with the game on the line (even before Monk). He will play a similar role in my 3WR set, as a counterbalance to Johnson's big play ability and Smith's great hands. and Bobby Boyd, CB - 2x Pro Bowl - 4x All Pro (3x 1st team) - 1960's All Decade Team A rock in the Colts secondary for almost a decade, he is their all-time leader in INT's (and top 10 overall in NFL in both INT's and INT yards), despite playing only 9 seasons. He'll be a nightmare opposite Mike Haynes as the speed of my backs will scare any opposing quarterback and nicely counterbalance my safeties. Plus, with Boyd, Houston and Haynes, I have 3 guys who are threats to run an INT back into the endzone.
  22. I can do the simluation but let's keep it to, at most, a best of 5 series since I don't have enough free time to run through tons of best of 7's and post results/stats here. That work for people?
  23. Gotta love the Hawks ownership. Push your best player out so far, he'd sign with the worst team in the league just to get out or get a new contract.
  24. I still haven't figured that out.
