Well, they made Ken Shamrock champ, why not Styles? And it's cool that the NWA board makes those decisions...we won't see Russo or Arquette as champs.
-
I'm all for that 4 way. D'Lo vs AJ should be great next week.
-
Yea, it's kinda sad. I always liked him. I read on the TotalNonStop boards that he wanted to be closer to his family in Minnesota.
-
I just remembered...when Gilberti was saying that Chris Harris was late or something, he looked at his wrist and said he was late...but he didn't have a watch on. I found it funny.
-
Crossfire (Shooting Star Legdrop) That walking-the-ropes-into-a-hurricanrana move that Elix Skipper uses Snap suplexes
-
Yea, there was...but still... I tuned in late like, 10 minutes and I saw a few spots and that was it. I was looking forward to it too. Damn the World Poker Tour.
-
Now, I can see how SEX can take over the NWA by winning belts. BELTS MEAN POWER!!!
-
I liked this week's show...I guess it was because I thought last weeks was meh. It was fairly entertaining tonight and NewJack/Sharkboy rules. Finally, D'Lo and Styles will go to singles fighting for the gold.

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling returns this Wednesday night with a loaded line-up and some outstanding matches that will continue the progression toward Asylum Alliance and a Hard 10 Champion. Of particular note, this week's pay-per-view will have an exclusive report on Jeff Jarrett's NWA World Heavyweight Championship unification match with WWA World Heavyweight Champion Sting in New Zealand this past weekend. Be sure to tune in to hear the details! Matches Wednesday include: Raven vs. Glenn Gilberti Gilberti has been feeling relatively confident lately, believing himself to be the leader of S.E.X. Raven, though, has made it clear, particularly with his actions last week, that he sides with no one and is more comfortable calling his own shots. TNA officials were more than happy to sign a contest pairing these two against each other. The fireworks of summer are about to begin! The Luchadore vs. Kid Kash For weeks, the mysterious Luchadore has caused interference in some of Kid Kash's most important battles. Now comes the day of reckoning as the hooded invader at last steps into the ring for a match! Who could it be under the mask? And will Kash be able to reveal the identity of this unknown wrestler? The only way to find out is to watch NWA TNA live on pay-per-view! AJ Styles & D'Lo Brown vs. CM Punk & Jason Cross By virtue of their incredible performances last week in the four-man elimination match, TNA officials have paired up Punk and Cross to go two-on-two with the surprise hit team of the year, Styles and Brown. Punk has steadily been climbing up the international ranks as of late, while Cross has determinedly worked his way back from a severe hand injury. Styles and Brown, however, are working their way back up from a loss last week to America's Most Wanted, albeit caused by outside interference from S.E.X. XXX vs. The SAT The SAT returns to face the current crown holders of the tag-team ranks, XXX. While Daniels, Skipper and Low-Ki may hold the gold, Jose and Joel Maximo have teamed for several years and hold the one tie that cannot be broken - blood. This looks to be an action-packed match and one that will most certainly spotlight the incredible action TNA has become known for! Plus...Two more Asylum Alliance matches AND another Hard 10 match-up! All this and SO MUCH MORE this Wednesday night on pay-per-view!!! --------------------------------------------------------------- Looks decent. CM Punk and Jason Cross against D'Lo and Styles looks good. XXX and SAT also looks solid, I don't care if SAT are just spot guys. I still think Trinity is the Luchadore, unless it's Hardy, which I will mark out for a while.
-
The Hard 10 hasn't been pushed THAT strong. It's only one match.
-
It doesn't have to make sense that Hardy is the Luchadore! Why did the Bullet have no tattoos on his arm when it was supposed to be BG James?
-
Guess we'll have to wait for London/Sabin next week...

Here's the results from 411: WWA The Reckoning Reported by: James Cardno of nzpwi.co.nz Commentators: Borash and Glen Gilberti Ring Announcer: David Penzer 5000+ seats were available, and the arena was pretty much sold out, although the hard camera side was pretty sparse. At least 4000 people in attendance. Show opens with a Maori group (aboriginal culture of New Zealand) performing a haka. Set design is based on New Zealand/Maori culture. 1) Rick Steiner def Mark Mercedes Mercedes, a talented Australian wrestler from Sydney's IWA federation, cut a heel promo that played on the NZ v Australia rivalry. Sting Promo Sting gets some face heat, claiming he's "Back in Black" like our rugby team (rugby being a national game akin to gridiron, the All Blacks being our national side). 2) Midgets Teo d Puppet and Meatballs 3) Crowbar def Konnan 4) 4 way elimination match - NWA/TNA X-Division and WWA Cruiserweight title both on the line Chris Sabin d Jerry Lynn, Frankie Kazarian and Johnny Swinger I've *GOT* to editorialise on this... fucking GREAT match. Some of the spots you had to see to believe... The four wrestlers all linked submission finishers in a chain (Sharpshooter, dragon sleeper, neckbreaker sleeper etc etc)... just... I don't want to editorialise too much, but in person, it was STUNNING. Worth the price of the PPV on its own. Sabin is now WWA and NWA champ. 5) Joe E Legend d Sabu Match was scheduled as Shane Douglas v Sabu, but Douglas broke his arm in Australia. Legend and Douglas cut a promo riding down ECW and WWE before the match (the crowd, largely ECW marks were ABSOLUTELY behind Douglas at the start) 6) Bret Hart Promo Some clever bastard from our forums has already ripped the audio off this... Here's the url: http://hometown.aol.com.au/bootyfiles29/ha...hart_wwa_nz.wav 7) Jeff Jarrett d Sting to become the unified TNA/WWA champion Finish of the match saw Legend run in to take out Sting, and Rick Steiner returning to take out Legend. Steiner then hits Sting to give JJ the cover. Great match again, complete with Jarrett strut and LOUD pyros. James Cardno || nzpwi.co.nz --------------------------------------------------------- I wonder if they will let Chris Sabin bring both of his belts this week on TNA. And of course, Jarrett defeats Sting, no surprise there.
-
Do it. A surprise win out of nowhere would be a good thing.

"The breakup or non-breakup of the America’s Most Wanted tag team in NWA:TNA has become a source of backstage struggle. Chris Harris and James Storm have had some tension lately, which usually leads to a feud and breakup on air. Russo is apparently pushing for the breakup, with Storm going heel and joining SEX but Jeff Jarrett wants Harris to be the heel. Interestingly, the tag team themselves don’t want to break up the team, and Bob Ryder also has been pushing to keep the team together. credit: Wrestling Observer Newsletter" Let them stay together, they'll probably be more successful that way for now.
-
I'm from Houston and a Rockets fan and I'm sad to see him go. But on the other hand, I think a new coach would serve this team good. At least Rudy's still gonna be with this team in some capacity. Coaches rumored to be or soon to be contacted are Gundy, Larry Brown, Dunleavy, and Doc Rivers.
-
Good stuff again...but why did you ask "Why is Raven battling Jarrett again?" He wants the belt.
-
Yea, New Jack was picking from the bottom of the deck...damn cheater.
-
LET US NOT TALK ABOUT IT!!!

From NWATNA.co. Total Nonstop Action officials, after several failed attempts at restoring order in the NWA among the various groups that fall under its roster (S.E.X., The New Church, Extreme Revolution, etc) have come up with a solution. In the process, wrestling fans will be treated to a most unusual series of matches that are both intriguing and action-packed. TNA officials have mandated to the NWA governing board that all wrestlers on the roster will be subject to be involved in an eight-team Asylum Alliance Tournament. Representatives from each feuding group will be involved, BUT not necessarily within their own faction on a given team! To clarify, an individual wrestler may be paired up with a wrestler from an opposing group to make a team (i.e., a member of S.E.X. with a wrestler from Extreme Revolution). At the end of the tournament, the winning team will be given a shot at the NWA World Tag Team Titles, currently held by XXX. This Wednesday night marks the beginning of the tournament, and you won't want to miss seeing who gets paired up with who! Other matches Wednesday include: Raven's Clockwork Orange House of Fun: Sandman vs. Sonny Siaki Sandman is used to this element, what with being one of the two original components of the first House of Fun match. This style is his so-called breeding grounds. For Siaki, this marks the first time he has stepped in to such a match. Literally everything goes and anything can be used as a weapon. How he will fair in such unique surroundings is all but a guessing game at this point. #1 Contender to the X Division Title Match Four of the top X Division competitors in the world today are coming in to the Asylum for an opportunity to prove themselves worthy of a title shot. Fans throughout the world have been captivated by the style and the talents who have made it their own. This week will give the wrestling world more of what it wants when this #1 Contender match hits the ring! And in response to the comments made last week by Jeff Jarrett, Glenn Gilberti has requested and received time to air his thoughts as well. Just what does Gilberti have to say about Jarrett, the NWA, S.E.X. and all the other hot topics in TNA? Tune in Wednesday to find out! All this and SO MUCH MORE this Wednesday night on pay-per-view!!! ------------------------------------------- I dunno...looks kinda meh to me. The 4 way should be nice since London will more than likely be on it. The Faction tag thing looks interesting. That's about it. TNA should just have an all out Faction War...just have one huge brawl.
-
New Jack and Shark Boy? LOL. There's some clashing of styles tonight. EDIT: Just read the 4 way's gonna be CM Punk vs Kid Romeo vs Paul London vs Jason Cross
-
New match announced from Notes from Backstage: "The Asylum Alliance tournament will undoubtedly create turmoil in the tag team division, but the NWA has taken action to make sure that at least one team involved in the tournament is made up of a cohesive unit. NWA officials successfully lobbied to get permission to have a special qualifying match tonight between the hottest team in recent weeks, AJ Styles & D-Lo Brown and the team that dominated the tag division for much of the last year, America's Most Wanted." And Raven will be back refereeing the Clockwork Orange House of Fun match.
-
I'm just glad that Raven is signed.
-
I have him as my sig.....so that means I like him or I'm just too lazy to change it. I like him, maybe thrown into the spotlight too soon, but I like him.
-
45 bucks? How much are they now? I've read that they don't technically sell out but have the asylum filled to capacity. So are they still gonna give away tickets when they can't sell anymore or what.
