  1. I don't think so. You put 1,000 fans in Hammerstein Ballroom, they'll have that place rocking. You put 1,000 fans in Madison Square Garden, they're hardly a blip on the radar. You need a small arena to be able to capture the "intimate" feel that was in the ECW Arena.
  2. I think most people are overreacting simply because it was Joey Styles. It wasn't as great as everyone is making it out to be and hardly "saved" the show. Joey Styles needs to stick behind the announce table, anywhere else and he just doesn't fit.

Glad you would enjoy it because everyone else would likely be at the concession stand if it ever happened again.
  4. After a male cheerleading squad, can any other tag team combination be considered "wacky?"
  5. Thank God the future of the company had to be saved by someone whose best years were ten years ago. I guess it is better than Hulk Hogan saving him.
  6. MY GOD, IT'S DX!!
  7. As much of a heel as he is, even Triple H knows you can't carry a company with a male cheerleader as your champion.
  8. It's not really an invasion angle though, ECW is going to be it's own show seperate of WWE storylines. They just need to promote and start it now to build for ONS II. I mean no one is coming to WWE to "take over" this time. You honestly believe they will keep the two shows separate for more than one week? This storyline is pretty much the same thing that they did last year with Joey Styles playing the reverse role of Eric Bischoff.
  9. How can some of you guys actually think that was a shoot? Please tell me.
  10. It wasn't as great as some of these guys are making it out to be. Just think back to every interview that challenged authority, that is pretty much what this was. He threw in a few insider terms but everyone does these days.
  11. Paul Heyman would've been much more effective, Joey Styles didn't seem right.
  12. That was odd. If you want to have an ECW vs. WWE battle, it would probably be the better idea to have ECW be the good guys.
  13. If this is true, it should be entertaining. I really liked WrestleMania and that had quite a few matches that could be considered "ECWish."
  14. I hope that after the NFL Draft I can proudly flaunt this signature:
  15. I am a fan of the Carolina Hurricanes and I am really worried about their effectiveness in the playoffs. Ever since the injury to Erik Cole, they have struggled to return to the consistent play that put them at the top of the NHL. Martin Gerber has also seemed to have struggled down the stretch, most likely from fatigue. I think they'll be able to take the first-round series against Montreal, but anything beyond that will be a struggle. If they can find the right combination of players on lines, they could still be a force as they still are one of the deepest teams in the NHL.
  16. You do realize that the "Mike & Mike" in "Mike & Mike In the Morning" are Mike Golic and Mike Greenberg. If they kept the discussion to solely sports, they wouldn't have any reason for the show and they could just show four hours of ESPN News. It's the fact that they add a little bit of personality to the show that makes it what it is.
  17. You believe the NAACP wouldn't petition the NCAA to reinstate the team's season if there were a few more African American players on the team? I know they would. And I know the NCAA would most likely make it happen. After the DNA results proved that there wasn't any physical evidence to link the players with the woman, there isn't much of a case left to think these players did something wrong. I heard Jesse Jackson say that they should try and arrest the criminals as soon as possible, what he failed to mention was the fact that there aren't any criminals to arrest at the moment. Wonder if he would feel the same way in the exact same situation where the players on the team were African Americans? I don't think so.
  18. I already think we've already seen the racial biased in this case. When Kobe Bryant was accused of rape, did they do anything to the Lakers? They even let Kobe Bryant continue to play for the team. Duke Lacrosse is accused of rape, they cancel the season, may cancel next season, the coach resigns, and most of the players are transferring. People can cry about racism all they want, but if this had been a majority African American team the NAACP would've never allowed the school to shutdown the sport.
  19. What portion of this case hasn't been wacky? The lady says she was raped, but can't distinguish between any of the players other than the fact that they were all white. DNA results return and reveal there is no physical link between the stripper and the players. Pictures have shown that she was in rough shape before she showed up at the house. Jesse Jackson wants the "criminals" to be put to justice, when there is absolutely no solid proof that anything happened. It has been a strange case from the get-go. I believe the woman was roughed up prior to the party. Was she raped? I don't know, but I don't believe she was raped at the party by any of the members of the lacrosse team. I believe she showed up to the party in terrible shape, didn't do her job properly, and the players decided not to pay her as much as she would've liked. What does she do to get back at them? Accuse them of rape. It sounds terrible, but that is what the world has come to.
  20. I would say stick to ESPN Radio. Mike & Mike in the Morning is always entertaining, Colin Cowherd is the only guy employed by ESPN that seems to have his own opinion, Dan Patrick is always fun/awkward to listen to, and Eric Hselius is decent on the Sports Bash. When I'm not tuned in to NFL Radio, I'll usually be listening to ESPN Radio. No reason to listen to any of the other 100+ channels I have on satellite radio.
  21. Her story indicates that she was physically raped and I haven't heard that she ever said anything about the perpetrators wearing condoms. If they did, that would seem to be a major piece of evidence that she should have pointed out from the beginning. The fact that she didn't say anything about them wearing condoms, kind of hurts her already questionable believeability.
  22. When I heard that the police cancelled out the one black member of the lacrosse team before any DNA tests had been made, I felt this story was a little fishy. This woman should issue a major apology to every single member of the Duke lacrosse team. Durham is a terrible city where gangs line the streets, she put alot of people's well-being at risk with her allegations.
