The creative team had talked about how Grant Morrison said something that completely changed the direction of 52 early on in the process. They finally revealed what he said he simply said: "What if Skeets is evil?" and it blew everyone's mind. They also have revealed that the 52 missing seconds(that was mentioned early in the series) is protecting something. Geoff Johns came up with what and again everything changed.

From Dave Meltzer "I don't know if this will come up on Raw or not (well, I mean, it won't on the show, but there may be media surrounding WWE doing the show or if Kane himself appears on the show), but there has been a ton of media publicity in Montreal because of a murder on Wednesday. Kimveer Gill, 25, came into a Montreal school and starting shooting everywhere. He killed one girl and wounded 20 before he was shot in the arm by police. He then shot himself in the head. It was front page news all over Canada. The wrestling connection is Gill was a big WWE fan, and he posted several photos of himself on the vampirefreaks.com web site, one of which shows him wearing a Kane mask. Apparently he had written his goal was to die in a hall of bullets. Another story noted that Gill and neighbor Mike Priest were huge wrestling fans who emulated the wrestlers they liked and noted Gill's favorite was Kane. (thanks to Frank Fonte, Andrew McMahon, Tyler McMurchy and Colin Sharpe)"

You can never trust robots Great Stuff this week Recap: Week 19, Day 1 Cleveland: Skeets breaks into Daniel Jon Carter’s apartment and goes through his mail. Daniel is behind in his bills which Skeets takes notice of “Apparently the apple really doesn’t fall far from the tree”. Daniel shows up and surprised to see Skeets pulls a shotgun on him. Daniel starts talking to Skeets and apparently Daniel was a high school football start until he hurt himself. Daniel was going to be a part of the Everyman project. Skeet’s tells Daniel that he needs his help getting back into Rip Hunter’s lab and tells him “What if I told you I could- using Booster’s DNA – bioengineer a superhero identity for you”? Week 19, Day 2 Space: Archbishop Lobo takes the Space Castaways to a planet that appears to be a galactic refugee camp. Buddy and Adam get a shower and it appears that Kory did also as she is seen putting on her boots; Kory has also been wearing Buddy’s Animal Man shirt the entire time you see her. While attending his subject’s Lobo lets it be known that they are in sector 3500. It use to be a sector of “100 complex thriving systems now a big sky fulla screamin’ headstones”. Lobo says that the three can follow him part way through his pilgrimage to the Three Golden Planets. Kory asks who put the bounty on their head and Lobo tells her that it is the same one who trashed sector 3500 and left a trail of rubble and tears but it is not who they are running from and reveals the Emerald Eye. Metropolis: Weather Wizard is flooding a bank because the bank manager took the witness stand against him. Supernova goes in and save the people inside. While SN is inside the Weather Wizard is caught by Wonder Girl. Supernova meets up with Wonder Girl on a roof top and introduces himself. Cassie is surprised that he doesn’t recognize her and asks her to respect his personal space(when she tries to remove his mask) then flies off while telling her to take care in which Cassie replies “I will Kon-El.” Week 19, Day 4 Arizona – Rip Hunter’s Lab: Skeets has added a camera to Booster’s glasses so that he can see what Daniel can see and then lets him into the lab. Daniel is looking around the lab and Skeets is surprised to see the chalk board and the wall with all of the “It’s All His Fault” writing upon it as Booster never told him any of that. Skeets notices that an arrow is pointing to him in one of the pictures of Booster and Skeets. Skeets say “He knows” (the word balloon suggested it was spoken by a person not a robot) and pulls back sealing the door to the lab. A vortex begins and Skeets programs it for 1,000,000 A.D. Skeets tells Daniel “I’m sorry it had to be this way Daniel I truly am but you’ve served your purpose. He knows”. Cool tease for next: Supernova is inside the Batcave looking at the display that has Jason Todd's robin costume Origin of Animal Man by Mark Wade and Brian Bolland. So for those that said Skeets was the problem and not Booster you appear to be correct. Also as an odd tie-in, In Green Lantern #13 out this week...finally…The Guardians are looking at an image of Superboy Prime in his cell and having the following conversation: “Brothers and Sisters shall we question Superboy-Prime”? “No not yet. He is unaware at this juncture”. “But Hank Henshaw(Cyborg Superman) was fused within the Source Wall. He explored space sector 3601. He must be found and interrogated”. “You believe Henshaw and his Manhunters discovered the path within space sector 3601”? “We built the Manhunters blind to the path. But if anyone is capable of finding it, it will most likely be a curious Earthman”. “So we have all come to the same conclusion. The need for the Green Lantern Corps has become quite clear”. “52” is spoken from all Guardians. “Now which one of us is going after Hank Henshaw”? Sector 3601 is off limits to the Green Lantern Corp and where Hal and Guy tracked down Hank Henshaw – Cyborg Superman – who had his own army of Manhunters powered by Green Lanterns thought to be killed by Hal.

Good to see Vick and my boy Warrick Dunn get off to a great start. Hopefully the Falcons have a good season so I could at least have a reason to care about the NFL.

Good issue this week, sets up a few interesting possibilities Recap: Week 18, Day 1 House of Mystery: Three members of the Croatoans – Detective Chimp, Terry and some guy I don’t recognize with a tattooed face – arrive to find Tim Trench sitting in his office wearing the helmet of Fate. Terry touches him and he turns to water. Week 18, Day 2 Kahndaq: Black Adam has a ceremony to give Charlie and Renee the “Order of the Crescent” for saving his people during his wedding. Renee does not show up because she feels guilty about shooting a child which Adam finds insulting and leaves to find her. Renee is found drunk, naked and with a woman in bed. Sorry guys but nothing is shown and are covered at their appropriate moments. Renee starts talking back to Adam which he finds further insult in and threatens to kill Renee which she says to “just do it”. Charlie calms things down by stating that Intergang is the real threat and that they need to find out why they are using kids. Black Adam agrees. Week 18, Day 3 Marseilles, France: Detective Chimp tracks down Ralph Dibny, whom is a member of the Croatoans and now has a beard, and brings the helmet of Fate with him. Ralph says that “a few weeks ago, I had a little breakdown. Got some help pulling myself together, came here to reconnect”. Ralph tells Chimp that he should call in the Shadowpact. Week 18, Day 4 Cincinnati, Ohio: Booster’s funeral which is attended by Clark Kent, Skeets, and some really minor level heroes who were more or less looking for media attention. Clark can not understand why even though Booster had a bad time at the end he was still a hero and claims to be going to write an article on it. Skeets then notices somebody on the street which he goes to. Upon scanning this person it comes up that his name is Daniel Jon Carter who resembles a certain Michael Carter. Skeets then tells Daniel to call him later concerning his future. Week 18, Day 7 Giza, Egypt: Ralph and Chimp are joined by the Shadowpact. The helmet of Fate starts talking about past magic and how Timothy Trench found the helmet and why he was turned into water. The helmet says that the opportunity falls to Ralph and warns him that the trails for such knowledge will be beyond his imagination and wants to know if Ralph is up for the sacrifice. Ralph picks up the helmet and walks away. The Shadowpact is left looking puzzled with Enchantress saying “Is it just me or does he think that the helmet was talking to him”.

Funny how that didn't stop the FSU-Miami game from being the second most watched college game in ESPN history

Well according to more knowledgeable DC fans the characters are Blimp(of the Inferior Five)- big guy in green costume Yellow Peri- Blond Girl Odd Man- guy with paint and wearing a suit Mind Grabber Kid- Guy with Helmet Beefeater Honest Abe- Lincoln look-a-like (he is a new character mentioned by the 52 team)
-
RIP When it comes to people that do this for a living, I always think that if they were meant to die they would have died very early in their career. So I was totally caught off guard by the news. I will always remember him for his ESPN commercial, which is my favorite.

No fuckin' with the US basketball team next time around.
Kurt Angle Mark replied to a topic in Sports
I'm glad team USA lost because perhaps the media might pull back on the non-stop ass kissing of the class of 03. Hate fucking all of them because of it. Also I thought the team was going to be made up of role players? Yet they sent their best one Bruce Bowen home. Might have provided a little defense today. For the 2007 Americas tournament send Kobe, Redd, Allen and actual role players and get it done. What i'll do is pick 4 to 5 star players. Each star along with the USA coaching staff will then pick 2 or 3 teammates of said star to be on the roster. That way you have players that are familiar with one another and know how to play as a group. -
WEEK 23: “Look what these monsters did to your brother, Isis! They deserve a slow death! Plucked apart like the insects they are!”
-
Osiris was the Egyptian god of death, and the husband of Isis...which weirds me out to no end if he's Black Adam Jr. Osiris is the husband and brother of Isis , and who is Adrianna Tomaz a.k.a Isis and Black Adam looking for? Her brother
-
In the photo, who are the two people in the bottom right with the similar costumes of Black Adam? One of them is Black Adam and the other is named Osiris. If you are reading 52 or know Egyptian mythology then you know who he is.
-
Actually Steel and Black Adam appear to be safe since they discussed how to end their respective stories after already planning the death of whoever I have Elongated Man at 2 to 1 and The Question at 4 to 1 odds. IMO the Elongated Man story can only come to a conclusion when either Sue is resurrected or Ralph dies. I say the latter is more likely. Here is a spread of all the Teen Titan members during the missing year, some might appear in 52 later on. http://img154.imageshack.us/my.php?image=tt38to5.jpg

This week's issue of 52 was probably my favorite so far Here is a recap: Week 17, Day 1 Metropolis: The News report on TV is showing you footage of Luthor’s Justice League taking on Kobra. The six members do not have any codenames but their powers are revealed. One has claws that “seem capable of slicing through anything they touch”, one has speed, one can morph, one is super strong, one can ride the winds and Natasha Irons is a “living beacon of light”. The members are all talking to Luthor about getting codenames when one member is shown shooting up with something. It is discovered to be a drug called Sharp which the speedster is using to slow herself down since she has no control over her speed. Eliza, the speedster, and Luthor get into an argument and Natasha steps up with her hands light which looks like Supernova’s glowing fists…possibly another red herring. Eliza gets mad and runs off. Luthor also makes a creppy comment about Natasha's beauty and one of the members is named Hannibal Bates and you can guess what he likes for dinner. Week 17, Day 2: Space: Starfire is in an asteroid field blasting asteroids so that the ship that her, Animal Man and Adam Strange are in can make it through. Animal Man is nervous through the whole thing telling Adam which way to go. Kory is hit in the head by an asteroid and the ship ends up landing on an asteroid. Week 17, Day 4: Space: The ship is still on the asteroid they landed on. Adam has hooked the ships sensory array into his visual cortex so he can see out of the ship and says that the field is too dense to fly though. And Kory claims that someone was throwing asteroids at them. Week 17, Night 4: Space: Kory and Buddy are talking while Adam sleeps. Both are talking about their family and then Buddy mentions about an encounter he had with some aliens (a.k.a Grant Morrison in the Animal Man series) and how he learned about space and time and says with his head turned towards the reader “It all runs to a plan…” (That there are writers that decide the fate of universe)While Buddy and Kory are talking the ship gets attacked by Devilance which ends up pulling his lance out of the ship. With the lance back together Devilance is about to crush the ship when the ship reads “a huge energy spike” and then we have entrails. And who should appear but Lobo standing over Devilance’s body with a big gun in hand. While Kory goes out in space to talk to Lobo, Adam tells Buddy all about Lobo. During Kory’s talk with Lobo, which are just empty word balloons, Lobo ends up pulling Kory’s top off. Kory covers her chest and then makes the "money" gesture with her fingers. She goes back to the ship and explains the Devilance walked into a trap set for Lobo and that Lobo is the only one that can get them out. She tells them that she reasoned with Lobo by telling him that she is a princess with rich parents. Kory also mentions that “…for the first time in his life, Lobo has problems of his own. He’s joined the church and turned his back on violence apparently. And believe it or not he needs our help”. Lobo ends up towing the ship out of the asteroid field with Deviance’s head shown on the end of his lance. Week 17, Day 7: Red Tornado waked up and says “52”. Three Aborigines are shown standing around him and he repeats “52”. One of the Aborigines says " Fifty-Two? No mate. Australia”. Comments: the Animal Man-Starfire conversion was great and needs to be read to be appreciated. The writers are probably trying to confuse readers when it comes to Lobo. He says he has found religion and turned his back against violence. Yet they made it look like he killled Devilance and then he ends up chopping off his head .
